  6. I love Bio-K oceangirl, kefir is cultured milk (like yogurt) but has different bacterium that is supposed to be better for the intestines (i am casein free, so I am just going by what i know, not what I have tried). it also is supposed to battle out the bad bacterium from your bod more efficiently, as the bacteria present are 'stronger', and it...
  7. Could it possibly just be from the sugar? I am not sure how long you've been gluten-free, but when I first was gluten-free, sugar gave me a 'gluten-like' reaction (although I don't have DH). I was CONVINCED I was getting glutened. However, I didn't really eat any junk food, especially sweets, ever, so I think that when I did eat them for the first time...

  11. A Glendale, Calif., company is recalling three of its products due to the discovery of an undeclared milk protein not listed on the food label. People allergic to milk could have a bad reaction if they consume the products, Georgia state Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin said. The products under nationwide recall are: Good Karma Organic Rice Cream Mudd...
  12. If it's something that teflon that can scratch, the gluten can remain in there... If it's stainless steel, you're safer. Personally I have a gluten-free house, and bought all new things just to be safe at the beginning because there really is no reason to risk it. It's your personal choice, and I don't see how if you are really diligent, you won't be fine...
  13. you defnitely need to make sure you are getting calorie dense foods in there.. if you are trying to gain weight, you have to make sure you aren't having a deficit with potential exercise concerning calories in vs. out.

  16. I lost so much weight I was put in the hospital on a feeding tube. Are you eating enough calories and fat? A lot of doctors and RDs recommend something like Ensure (I didn't have it because I am casein-free). Have you asked your doc at all or seen an RD? What are you eating in a normal day?

  18. Hi Chrisser, I am pretty positive I know the feeling you are getting. Are you combining proper combos of fat/proteins/carboyhydrates in your meals (or at least in your days)? You mention you are eating a lot of meat, and too much protein isn't a good thing.

  23. Hi Tigger, My first seven months I felt similar to what you are describing, and I went downhill rapidly, and ended up in the hospital... Now I know i was on my death bed, but no one told me because they thought I'd be scared (I was just living as normally as I could, trying to finish my degree!).
