  1. Well, yes, I do...

When you start to feel "normal" again and you're not running to the bathroom, Yes.

I can handle the D issue, because that is a defined clue, but it's the brain fog and fatigue and malaize that I just can't handle. And that is what keeps me diligent. But most importantly, it is my friends here on this site that keep me safe from myself. Those that have lifted me up, when they can't can't lift themselves up. How many of them sit in wheelchairs, have diabetes, have MS and various other inflictions.

Yes, you gotta keep on truckin.

It is very normal to have many ups and down. It took a long time for your body to react to that damage, as well it will take time to heal.

In the beginning it is almost impossible to go cold turkey from Gluten and be informed about all the things you need to avoid. It takes time to educate yourself. Gluten is everywhere.

It also takes time for you to heal enough to know that you have been glutened. Does that make sense? It took me about 7 months to feel better, to feel the effects of being glutened. It took me that long to heal

Be patient and you may need to re-check you shampoos, suppliments, lipsticks or anything that may come into contact with you mouth.

Sometimes, when you feel better, you tend to get a little lax in your diligence. You always want to keep that in check.

    Hope you feel better.

  3. Evie:

Some times we do get "possers" (posing as others), but there are some old schoolers here that can nail them is short time. Perhaps the one that offended you, it not longer on this site for obvious reasons. If anyone respondes to you in an inappropriate way, please go to "Report" and it will be dealth with.

I have changed my user name, but I have been here a while. We have so many members now and it is very hard to keep up and answer questions. I'm good with the "newbees" and there are other experts to handle the tech. aspect.

Never the less, I am glad that you are back.....and I bet you are as well. Welcome.

  4. Sorry to interrup the ice cream thread........but I am bustin here. Can I yell and scream in Rachelville and no one will hear, but listen.

I think that I should resign my post as Senator as todays, politics did me in. Ever feel "Nobody loves me, everyone hates me...I think I'll go eat worms".

Bad day at the Preservation Meeting. We got sold out by the town who was worried about a law suit, by a TOWN COUNCILMAN. Town Council, appoints the Preservations Commission members (with semi-judicial authority)..that would be me, and currently Chairman. Town Manager is staff for the Town Council.

Town Councilman wanted vinyl replacment windows in his historical house, we denied. (wood, wood, wood), threated to sue the town, and they caved.....leaving us with our fingers up our *** (nose).

No reply needed. I am just screaming out loud.........CAN YOU HEAR ME.

I so resign my position as Senator for Rachelville and would like to solicit the position of Town Cryer if the job is open.

  5. Rach:

It was too cool, but sad. We were very close to Hilton Head, SC. The development is unbelieveable, the little armidillo (I don't know how to spell it), was about the size of a very large cat and was in the parking lot and there was alot of new ground breaking around his original habitat. I never thought that they would be indiginous to South Carolina, but he sure was there. Kinda cool, but sad.......development is encroaching on wildlife everywhere that developers can make a buck.

Glad to see Rachelville making a new start...........perhaps I can keep up with it, probly so, maybe probly not. I will try to check in when I can. Will Rachelville have spell check? OH, yeah, I am Senator, I can do SOMETHING,...........legislation as stated " I submit a bill that all residence of Rachelville be totaly exempt from any duress, ill inner feelings or concerns about posting any misspelled posts to others, who reside or are visiting entities of Rachelville. A Vote is Called............ Ms Mayor how do you speak?

Got to be the bad buttock tomorrow. Wish I had a job that everyone kisses it. <_<

    Lisa

  6. This is a post-mature and a pre-mature post.............so here it is:

Glad to start off with Racheville - went to a wedding at Hilton Head this weekend. Ohhh, love the trees. Saw my first allagator is the wild, black squirrel, and an ARMADILLO (sp) whoa.

Wizzzed through the posts as got in late and needed to check in.

As Senator, I am sitting in my office reading the celiac site and have not a freaking thing to do. So, with that said, I need another job. With no legislation, now rules....well geese and whatever, but that's the mayors issue.

(not a new job tomorrow, I have to do my real job and make them very very angry and tell then that they have to redo their storefronts)....yeah, I'm, the one that everyone like to hate... Yah, know, preservation, type stuff.. they will thank me in about 100 year.!!!! <_<

  7. A crumb for me, even a minute one which is hardly visable causes me a great deal of grief. I break out immediately iin DH and I am sick for a week. Take a person with a nut

allergy a kiss can kill some. So, this is the same, a kiss can make me sick for a week or more.

If it makes it easier to explain to your husband, tell him it is like a severe allergy, like a nut or seafood one. It is every bit as dangerous except with us it can be a slow painful death of cancers and lack of nutrition.

    Rusla:

Welcome back!! :) . I owe you one and the gods of nature.....well done and thanks. We had BEAUTIFUL day for Annie's wedding. Thank you.

It does seem to me that the longer that I go gluten free, the most distinct I can feel the reation to being glutened. It is now very clear, now that there has been some healing.

New avitar, (thank the the Canadian Godess) , but same old me............Lisa

  8. IIII'mmmmmmmm baaacccckkkkk. :P

I think I slated the 4th for start date. I'm going to log everything but by law she doesn't have to start til next year. 8 is the required start by date here. I don't remember if they evaluate every year but they do require the standardized tests. I'll have to find that website again. I copied over state laws before computer crash so I'll see if those documents list the website.

    Congrats for your son.

Have a fun and safe trip. We'll miss you and look forward to your trip update when you get back...unless you can crash in here before that. :D

Didn't you see it earlier? I will be sure to add presidentness. What happened to her presidentness's post. She was writing about 1 1/2 - 2 hours ago and nothing's here.

Peach is good. How 'bout navy blue for the ribbon....then you'd have our wedding colors. Mitch always refers to them and peaches and blueberries. Baby alert....he got the cardboard cover that was blocking the front of the computer. It has a pretty green light that little fingers like to touch.

    Where is everyone?

    Cecile,

    You asked, I delivered. :P

    Rachelville Vocabulary Update:

    1. Relevation

    2. Spinach/Spinached/Spinaching

    3. Good Googly Moogly

    4. Scientificness

    5. Wordage

    6. Pulled a Dave/”Dave”

    7. Cruelage

    8. Presidentness

    Dave, I see you. :)

Pre-post, I'm sure. I just can't keep up with you all. Whew! Andrea, for someone who tries to keep up, could you add the defininations (< guess one here  ) Got the spinach one down and use it frequently.

  9. Oh, I just couldn't let this one get by!

No, dear city boy, our geese are very well-mannered. But I have seen a duck going around yelling AFFLAC on tv. :P:P:P

    Cissie, signing off.

Way too premature post, but with my new sweet goose picture and my new name. Perhaps, along with my duties as Senator (which is sit on my butt all day, no bribes today) Should I not be on the goose patrol.

AFLAC :D:D:D I love that darn goose.

  10. I am glad that you are starting to feel better. Continue with unseasoned foods (salt& per is ok)

Be sure to check your shampoos, lotions, lipstick.....as anything that can get into your mouth.

You will have many ups and down and the healing process can be slow. Hang in there.

  11. :lol::lol:

    :o

"The Dave" would like to be the Village Idiot???

    Hmmmmm....I'm pondering this. <_<

Well....far as I know that particular job has not been filled...so I'm thinking as long as you don't do anything sooooo idiotic as to bring gluteney Burritos and HAMBURGERS into Rachelville...the job is yours (if you choose to stay). :D

Besides, if you even tried something like this the geese would be all over it! Like "white on rice". B)

Oh...since that particular job wont require alot of effort on your part....you will need to actually pick something else a little more "functional". I mean...even the town bum has a side job clearing out the tumbleweeds. ;)

Alright Rach, spill it about Dave. :) Or is this just another premature, or postmature post?:blink:

  12. Lisa:

I saw your other post,...lots of Lisa's here.

If you are going to see a specialist, do NOT go gluten free. I am sure that this will cause you alot of discomfort. In order for you to have an accurate testing, you MUST remain on gluten. If not, the result will not be accurate.

On the other route, you could become gluten free and see how you feel and if you feel better after a period of time...well, there is you answer. Others will post by morning.

Take care and I hope you feel better. Lisa

  13. I'll try this again.........lighning storm about.

You are not healed. Even though you have been gluten free, the damage is done and it will take some time to heal. If you continue on the gluten free diet (including, lotions, shampoos, lipstick, cosmetics, any potentioal oral injestion), you will gradually feel better.

The healing process will take some time and you need to be patient and diligent. It will come.

If you have concerns over certain products, please ask here.

Doctors are now just learning about how prevelent Celiac is, but you have come to the experts. Please read, read and read somemore, here. This is the best source there is.

Please post if you have questions, that's why we are here. Experience is Knowledge.

  14. (pant !pant! I think gasp! I am caught up pant! pant! whew!)

Cecile--I grow tomatoes, red peppers, basil, cilantro, parsley, rosemary, mint, catnip, and dill in big plastic containers on my deck. Get potting soil, not dirt--it's more expensive but the plants do SO much better!

Lisa--a few years ago, it seemed like ALL my old boyfriends came out of the woodwork and looked me up. One put it in a very beautiful way--he said that he was hitting a birthday milestone, and going over past memories, and that all those memories made up the fabric of his life, or something like that Anyway, it turned out that he and my husband both grew up in San Jose, and his grandmother ran the Japanese Sunday School that my husband attended as a child, and my husband remembered this guy's uncles, of all things. They ended up emailing each other back and forth, which felt just a wee bit odd to me!

Anyway, of all the old boyfriends that looked me up, I didn't get the feeling from any of them that they wanted to reconnect romantically--they just wanted to check out what I was doing with my life and with whom.

Of course, when they saw me very happily married, with 3 children, the youngest of whom we dubbed the Velcro Baby because I could NEVER put her down, that may have dampened any concealed interest!

I love this..........I seem to alway struggle with my past and my future. I have soooooooo very little contact with any one or any where in almost 30 years. My parents are gone, my home place is gone, I have no contact with anyone from my pre-married years.

Someone searching me out was more of an "ephiphany" to me......in that a reminder to me that I did have a life, I knew people, I went places, and I "may" have imprinted someone.

It though, has brought back some memories that I have put away..

  15. Okay, I will add to the story. He was a Senior in college at a male college at the time. I was a freshman, at a girls college and just away from home. He gave me his ring and said shortly he would replace it with "another". Toooo much toooo soon and I backed off. I truely believe that I broke his heart.

So.......he was wanting to marry me, but never married. What did I do to this guy. (no, not gay)

The only conclusion that I have that I was the ultimate standard, no one else could cut it. B) Yeah, in my dreams.

Vincent, haven't had contact since I wrote that "my husband and I would ...
