  1. Lisa, these are updated frequently, Open Original Shared Link
  2. Glad to be of service.
  3. Open Original Shared Link Yes it is gluten free.
  4. I agree and so do my non-gluten free friends. The chocolate cake is great and I have made the pound cake (with macadamias and heath/toffee pieces) from the yellow cake mix. Every Pamala's I've tried is wonderful.
  5. I have ALWAYS heard that it does contain gluten. What the offending form of gluten is, I don't know. (I live in the land of real crabmeat)
  6. WOW, two years later....the same run-a-round. A progressive company, I think.
  7. Julie, The Cad Mini Eggs are not labled "gluten free", but they will not verify their "Natural Flavors" as gluten free. So they may or may not have an ingredient as barley, malt or rye, therefore they will not verify that the product is gluten free.....or all of Hershey's Products.
  8. Seems that you have been around, but this is your first post. Welcome. Celiac can have over 200 symtoms and many of the one you mentioned are symptoms. Have you ever had any testing?
  9. Your nerve endings in your small intestines are not the same as you would feel on your skin. You will feel no pain. You may wake up and have a bit of a sore throat after the proceedure, but that's about it. It's nothing to worry about.
  10. As noted on a separate thread regarding Cadbury Mini Eggs, Hershey's will NOT guarantee the gluten status of this product. Hershey also stated that "natural flavor" in ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS ARE NOT CONSIDERED GLUTEN FREE. They will not identify any gluten source from their suppliers as it is "propriety information and they are not required to disclose...
  11. Supervisor Call: All allergens are disclosed as required by law. Natural Flavor is outsourced and that information is "proprietary and not given" and are not required to full disclosure (other than the eight allergens) "All Hershey products that contain "Natural Flavors" are considered not gluten free, is that correct"? YES SHAME ON HERSHEY!...
  12. Absolutely!!!! They should be held accountable. Not buying Hershey products won't effect them unless you let them know why.
  13. In our daily struggles with this disease, a "may or may not" answer is just not good enough for me. I can give up Cadberry Mini Eggs, but it's the principle here! This product either is gluten free or it is not, period! I want the respect of an answer! (thanks moongirl and patti for your contribution here , but I'm on a ramp!)
  14. OK... Still awaiting a call from a supervisor, as I was not satisfied with the customer relation person, who was reading off of a script and my questions were not on the script. Customer Relation Person: Natural flavor is a natural product and is not symthetic based (I inquired further) Not listed as a gluten free product ( I asked why and...
  15. I e-mailed yesterday and I am on the phone as we speak.
  16. Welcome Molly, Here are some links that might be helpful. Here is some beginner information: Open Original Shared Link Here is a list of companies who will clearly list all gluten (as in wheat, barley, malt and rye): Open Original Shared Link The product section on this site has alot of gluten free information. Learning to read labels and...
  17. You can test her again to see if her antibodies are at the normal level. Open Original Shared Link You should know that in children, these test are not always reliable though. I hope you find the source of her discomfort soon.
  18. I certainly have been know to be wrong. Natural Flavors can contain barley, MALT or rye. Chocolate and malt can go together.
  19. I am sorry that I recently threw out a magazine with their ad in it. To paraphrase...Gluten Digest is not designed for those with Celiac Disease, but rather those who have difficulty digesting gluten. It also states in the fine print that has not been given the OK from the FDA. And most alarming for me, they have done their own testing "inhouse"...
  20. Hershey's # 1-800-468-1714 (weekdays 9 - 4 ) Best thing to do is call in the morning for those with concerns.
  21. Sorry that our local Hawaiian expert has just left the country for several weeks. I am sure that you can come up with lots of information here if you do a search for Hawaii.
  22. Open Original Shared Link Can you send me an allergen list? We have found that allergen lists quickly become outdated as our product lines change over time. Rather than have you make purchase decisions based on outdated information, we encourage you to check the ingredient label on the package. This label provides accurate, current information about...
  23. No, I have had no gluten issues nor is there anything on the ingredients listing to indicate so. I just called and their office closes at 4:00. I will try their website at www.hersheys.com I strongly feel that the information given regarding natural flavors is from an uneducated/uninformed employee. BTW, are we talking US here?
  24. I would demand specifics for that statement. Going to call them now. I have eaten them for weeks now to my delight.
