  1. Many of us use McCormicks. They will clearly list all forms of gluten.
  2. the Triumph Dining Cards are really helpful when dealing with ethnic restaurants. They come in several languages on laminate cards. I have used them several times. You can order them from this site, on the Gluten Free Mall.

  5. Open Original Shared Link It does take a while, but glad that you are seeing some recovery.
  6. The gluten concern is not usually the ham itself (unless injected with gluten ingredients) rather it's the glazing that may contain gluten. There was talk last year about "Honey Baked Hams" may NOW be using gluten free glazed. I have seen NO verification about that.
  7. As you must be aware there are three ways to diagnose Celiac Disease: 1. IgA Blood Panel 2. Endoscopy/biopsy 3. Possitive Dietary Response. The blood test is not accurate for those who are still on the gluten free diet. The endoscopy and biopsy can be hit or miss. The dietary response is a diagnosis in itself. Four to six weeks on a gluten...

  12. Collette? Do you think you can sub fig and pear preserves and lessen the sugar and get the same effect or taste? We have fresh figs all summer (when the birds don't get them). This sounds way toooo good.
  13. These are some companies who will clearly list gluten of all forms (ie. wheat, barley, malt and rye). Kraft is one of those companies, just read their blue cheese dressing. If it's not on the ingredients list, it's just not in there and gluten free. Open Original Shared Link

  15. Open Original Shared Link There has been thousands of pages of discussion on this site regarding blue cheese and its gluten free status. Please do a search here and then choose to eat it or not.
  16. Blue Cheese is NOT a no-no. Many if not most blue cheeses are "started" with a synthetic bases. If, in the US, wheat is used as a "started" in blue cheese, it by law is required to be listed. Cheeses in their natural form are gluten free. When cheese is processed, it may be subject to added gluten. Meline, in Greece I do not know your labeling...
  17. Julie, how about Ambrosia? (southern through and through) Peeled and cut up oranges (the sweeter the better) Canned pineapple with juice Graded coconut. Mix all together.
  18. I agree with HAK. When I order something off the menu (whether gluten free or not), I assume 100% of the risk. Anytime I eat out I assume the risk. Poor and uneducated service is definitely something to report to the management.
  19. Where in the world did that quote come from??????? Got to go look now!! I love Pamela's .... That was taken from another thread submitted by another member. My guess is that it was referring to the premade cookies. I have no personal experience with premade cookies, but love their mixes.

  22. Peeps are always a welcome addition at Easter.
  23. Hi Michael, V-8 is gluten free, but I sure would not want to drink it if I had the flu. It would be a little bit heavy. Try some clear liquids such as 7-up, apple juice, ginger ale. All Gatorades are gluten free and so is Propel water. We wish Lisa a speedy recovery.
  24. As Hershey has stated - "ANY PRODUCT THAT LISTS NATURAL FLAVOR IS NOT GLUTEN FREE". The company itself will not quarantee the gluten free status of their products.
