  1. The generic omeprazole that I buy over the counter has no gluten ingredients. I have used it off and on for years. Some antacids will have a cleansing effect on me (if ya know what I mean) from time to time, but I don't consider the cause from gluten. I believe that few, if any "filler" ingredients in meds would be sourced from gluten. And the statement...
  2. Remembering my gluten free world seven years ago, I'm just grateful for what we have achieved and the future is exciting.

    ARCHIVED Blogs

www.celiac.com ? Here are some blogs that you might find interesting: https://www.celiac.com/blogs
  4. Nathan's was the only brand (that I'm aware of) that did contain gluten...they no longer do. But, in the US (important to note), most are gluten free. Wheat should be clearly listed, if it's an ingredient. Oscar Meyer, Ball Park, Boars Head, Hillshire Farm's (except the Brats and Beer) are all gluten free.
  5. Here is a previous thread:
  6. Yes, many here. I guess your blood test is only as good as your lab tech. And false negatives do happen. An endoscopy would tend to be more accurate.
  7. I'm gonna move your post the the newly diagnosed. I think you will find more relevant information there. I use chapstick, Mary Kay Lipstick, Lubriderm Lotion. Look through the product section of this site and you will find lots of stuff. Until you can read labels,it's a great help. AND a welcome to you! Take a walk around.
  8. Thanks for posting TT! Love me some Sweet Baby Rays!

    ARCHIVED What Rums Are Ok?

OK, any liquid that dissolves a solid is a solvent - it's the est. 35% alcohol in the rum that could be harsh on your system, or any other type of liquor...that's what I meant .

    ARCHIVED What Rums Are Ok?

Please keep in mind that the topic of this thread is Rum. Rum is alcohol, a solvent, which can be tough on a compromised immune system. Even with the absence of gluten, a gluten type reaction could occur.
  12. Please note that this thread is over two years old...the information may be dated and inaccurate.

I'm talking about substantiated facts. Was the company contacted? What was their response?
  14. Oooh, oooh... have you tried Pamela's Chocolate Cake Mix. It's a little more dense than "regular" cake mix, but...in my opinion, BETTER! I get raves when served to my "regular" friends. AND yes.... many of us need little or no motivation to stay on the path that makes us well.

And what rums have you found that DO contain gluten....? Curious to know and any substantiation would be helpful.
  17. Hi and so glad you found us. Many people here have used Enterolab, and many times it can be another piece of the puzzle. However, Enterolab cannot diagnose Celiac Disease. They do test for a variety of sensitivities. Personally, I'm a bit skeptical of Enterolabs, but there are those here who were quite pleased with their experience.

  22. You could be reacting to the sulfides in the wine. Some do. I do tend to get GERD from time to time with wine. Make sure you eat something with your wine. It helps.
