  3. It's never been the least bit of concern to me, nor to any of the national celiac foundations/associations or research organizations. .....just sayin'

  7. Hey Em! Pooping in here randomly... Put unfortunately dunked cell phone and battery in a bag of dry rice. Rice will pull out the moisture. I have seen this procedure often in this house, but not MY phone THEY swear it works.
  8. Most of us have had internal issues for some time and perhaps many years. And endoscopy and colonoscopy, in my opinion, would be wise. I'm not quite sure where your pathology report stops and you comments begin. But, you might look into NSAID sensitivity or over use. Some people can't handle it....interesting stuff, though.
  9. It could be several things. If this continues, I would see a doctor promptly. I don't think that bright red in your stool could be a food allergy. Sometimes when I am a bit constipated, I get stomach pains, my stools are hard and I get some bleeding. (sorry to be so personal... )
  10. Hi and Welcome! Here is some current information for you, which you might find helpful: https://www.celiac.com/categories/Celiac-Disease-Diagnosis%2C-Testing-%26amp%3B-Treatment-%28Gluten%252dFree-Diet%29/
  11. Here is some information regarding testing: (In the US) The Saliva Test does not support accuracy/diagnosis regarding Celaic Disease. Open Original Shared Link
  12. Welcome! You should stay on a full gluten diet until all testing is finished. You may never know if you have a gluten allergy, a gluten intolerance or Celiac Disease. All require the same diet, but with Celiac Disease the autoimmune response can cause great damage to your system. To answer your questions: 1. no, no assumption can be concluded...
  13. Just found a pretty great recipe book for Vegetarians and those that are NOT! 125 Gluten-Free Vegetarian Recipes - Carol Fenster, PhD. Gazpacho Shooters - yum It's vegetarian, but also has a section to add non vegetarian options. I love it.
  14. Wendy's has some nice gluten free options. Open Original Shared Link
  15. So sorry teacherkd, but McD's fries and hashbrowns ARE considered gluten free. All the Celiac Associations support that position. In an effort of full disclosure, McD's has posted honestly. What you need to know is that hydrolyzed wheat is processed to the point of rendering it gluten free, below what is considered safe for people with Celiac Disease...
  16. You are correct (if I remember my stats correctly). He carries the genes which would indicate that he has a 30% change of developing Celiac Disease. On the flip side, 70% of the general population carry the same genetic link, do not develop Celiac. Along with his genetic testing, coupled with his symptoms, I would consider it either Celiac Disease or...
  17. I don't know who "THEY" are, but I have never found a company who would respond in the way you have indicated. If a company adds one of the eight main allergens, lines are washed thoroughly between continued processing. And most would list a disclosure regarding shared lines. Mars is one of the good companies. I have confidence in their labeling policy...
  18. She's only five..creativity goes a long way.
  19. Thanks for taking the time
  20. This thread is over six years old and the information found here may not be acccurate. I doubt that any Slurpee's contain gluten.
  21. Awww....you're in my city! I was raised ten miles out of town and worked there on "the Hill". Isn't she beautiful???!!! And at night she's magnificent and fun I must add.
  22. Don't waste your time being in conflict! When in doubt, don't! A particular *treat* is not really important if you can find an alternative. I love Dove candies. The good thing is....that LIFE IF FULL OF OPTIONS!
  23. Can't ask for much better! I made RC Treats and they were gone in five minutes...all gluten eaters...and all over the age of 27
