  1. is there any way to save information without putting it into a blog or an active post? I've compiled a list of testing to recommend others, so that I don't have to type it up every time I'm trying to find a place on the form where I can save this information, so that it is not viewable to others, and then copy and paste the needed parts into people's posts...
  2. Welcome! I can't say my experience is similar because I gained weight, but are you still eating dairy? If not, you may want to try giving that up for a bit to see if it helps. Here's the reasoning behind that suggestion. Since the enzyme that digests lactose, lactase, is made at the tips of the villi, it may be difficult to digest for a period until...

  14. thanks for the info! makes sense now I've been reading from various sites, and here is what's on the Nature Made site: We do not recommend taking calcium along with your multivitamin if your multi contains iron. The calcium may interfere with the iron's absorption. If you take an iron containing multivitamin with your breakfast meal, take your...
  15. wow pure ignorance, and so sad. I've never cared for them. it's supposed to be a news show, and it's like it's a girls night with magazines and wine. you can send comments here to the Today Show Open Original Shared Link I went to town on my response, and tried to not belittle them, but lay out the info. enjoy The phrase "ignorance is...
  16. so my current vitamin supply will run out soon, and I needed to find something new mainly without soy. it took me awhile, but I finally found some vitamins that fit my criteria and are certified gluten-free, Megafood vitamins. I went to Whole Foods yesterday, after researching online, and then went into see what they had at the store, and after reading...
  17. Be as diligent as you can there have been a lot of great changes for me going gluten-free, and some my Mom noticed are that my eye contact is better, my temper is not as easy to flare, I am more calm in general, and my anxiety has lessened When I was talking to my Mom about these things, she said something to the tune of, "Maybe that's why you've always...
  18. thanks for setting me straight, kareng taynichaf, i'm sorry to hear you're stressed out, and I hope things improve! at this point since you were unable to get the DGP test, be proactive, and remove ALL gluten. you are in charge of your own health, and I hope that your family comes around to support you. if you take it seriously most likely others...
  19. taynichaf, correct me if I'm wrong kareng , but I think what kareng is saying is please post your initial results from your blood tests on the forum, so that others can take a look at them. the forum members are soooooo much more knowledgeable than any doctor I've seen so far. please find your results, post exactly what it says on your lab report,...
  20. so the more whole grain, Fiber One type of products I ate before going gluten free, the more stopped up I became, no matter how much water I drank. My anxiety increased because I would get so upset over not going, and the snowball effect happened. There were times I drank a whole bottle of magnesium citrate and not a thing happened Ex-lax gave me bad cramping...
  21. were you able to get the full blood panel including DGPs? DGP iga/igg ttg iga/igg total iga serum EMA the only one I was positive on was the DGP igG, and everything else was negative. if I would've only be screened with the ttg iga, nothing would have shown up I can relate to quite a few of those things. I was sure I was going to be anemic...
  22. thanks for the recipe! chips don't hurt my stomach, and they don't cause a back-up the only problem I've been noticing is they irritate my mouth. It's almost a burning sensation on the roof of my mouth and tongue. at first I thought it was the salt, but a single serving of the chips I like only has 95 mg of salt so that isn't it, but they do use cottonseed...
  23. Adalaide, I completely agree about some doctors medicating you broke or giving meds that suck the life out of you just to pay for their vacations The eye contact problem has always been there, and I've always had some anxiety, but I make it through. I think only once I've had a full blown panic attack. I was going to a colleague's wedding where I didn...
