  1. I posted this on facebook the week before Halloween, I just thought it kinda funny and had a good point behind it such as the rising food allergies in our children. The comments I received I didn't take kindly to. Like it was a burden, like we choose to be gluten free or dairy free just because. My children Trick-or-Treat and when we get home we separate...
  2. When I get glutened I have to steer clear of of acidic foods like tomatoes for a while. I am like that with dairy too. Can't tolerate lemon juice or orange juice, no coffee either. Maybe your gut just needs some time...
  3. Awesome! It's so rare for me to find a gluten free veggie! Happy to meet you I was vegan and still have to go back every now and then. If I get glutened I can't tolerate dairy for a while.
  4. I have to share this recipe. My children ( also Celiac) and I LOVE them! Flourless Mini Breakfast Muffins 1 cup peanut butter 2 ripe bananas 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 baking soda 2 tablespoons honey ( or more if you want them sweet) I also added a handful of chocolate chips nuts would be good too bake at 400 for 8 mins or until they start...
  5. There are good gluten free days and there are bad gluten free days... Good days are when I am so happy to be feeling better than I don't miss gluteness food. Bad days are days like today where gluten seems to be every where and my stomach hurts even though I haven't eaten anything I am not supposed to and I SO just WANT PIZZA!!!!!!! I want a flippin' doughnut! A hot buttery biscuit!! UGH!

  6. The brown sugar is very sweet, too sweet for me, about 30 mins after eating it I had bad stomach cramps but they passed after 10 mins or so. I have used the plain packets in recipes and had mild discomfort I may have just developed an issue with oats though. I haven't eaten them but a handful of times since the diet change. I can't try the cinnamon because...
  7. I had the veggie hot pockets that were great! The tortilla's are good and I love how big they are, I can actually fit enough food in one tortilla to fill me up. The frozen pizza was okay. My children liked the chicken nuggets. I was so happy when I left Aldi's! Hahaha! It's a bit of a drive from my house but it's worth it! I like the hot pockets better than...
  8. I have GI issues every time I eat KIND bars, I just assumed I had a sensitivity to ANOTHER food...
  9. The elimination diet really is the best choice for you right now. Your still so early into it and there is sooo much to learn. Cutting out any processed foods and hard to digest foods are a good idea. Once your systems heals you maybe able to tolerate things that bother you now. In the beginning I had a hard time with beans, corn, dairy, chocolate, peppers...
  10. I was looking forward to trying them, glad you let us know I would have been disappointed with a box full of nasty cookies...
  11. I eat turtles all the time and never have any problems besides wanting more
  12. I found them online weeks before I finally found them at the Ingles in town. Haven't tried the buffalo wing flavored but I'm vegan and don't tolerate spicy food well.
  13. I am so excited about Snyder's of Hanover Gluten Free Honey Mustard and Onion Pretzel sticks!!! I bought some the other day and absolutely love them! They are Dairy Free, Casein Free, Egg and Gluten Free! It was somewhere around $3 for an 8oz bag. I have had no reaction whatsoever. If you see these I definitely recommend them!
  14. I too eat this sauce all the time and only have a problem if I eat a lot of it, like more than you really should lol I like to dip my veggie chips or fries in it and if I over do it I get a few symptoms but nothing extreme.
  15. Hmmm, do you take any probiotics? I started the B and the probiotics at the same time.
  16. I'm kind of going threw the same thing, I was doing great for awhile and then I would have a problem with a meal that I eat frequently with no problems. I could literally eat a safe meal on Monday and then eat the exact same meal on Friday and be sick for the rest of the week. It's been like this for a couple months, then I started taking B complex and got...
  17. I get the store organic brand canned beans but have not successfully found a dry bag that is safe. It frustrates me to no end because I like to make my own hummus.
  18. Hello everyone! You haven't seen me on here in a while, I hope everyone is doing well. Recovery was going great for me, all my symptoms had completely disappeared for a month! I was doing great! Then I got careless, stupid me. Wednesday before last my best friend and I got together for dinner, it was the third anniversary of the passing of our closet friend...
  19. Thank you!!!! I feel like a broken record with that sentence! It really shouldn't matter to anyone but the person prosuing the diet!!!
  20. I feel you! I haven't seen any of my friends since this started. Actually as weird as it sounds I've gotten closer to my ex husband, we have to talk about Celiac and GFD because of our oldest son. I'm sure he gets sick of hearing about it too. :-/ I too fight depression, and I feel it's because this has taken over my life. Don't get me wrong I'm thankful...
  21. I do this with greens some times too. Then I start asking myself if I'm going to end up with a problem to everything and starve!!!!! Did you rinse the lettuce first? Maybe it's some spray they use on it....
  22. So sorry Hun, this always hurts worse when it's a " friend". Maybe when you both have a bit of time to clear your mind from raw emotion you can talk and maybe she will be more willing to listen. Maybe reschedule some where you can eat. She may have been upset because she felt robbed of a personal victory, she could have been excited to be able to take you...
  23. So happy for you!! I too had a complete turn around out of my son, I realized that he was acting the way he was then because he just didn't feel good. I found myself asking him all the time "what's wrong?" And he would just start crying and say "I don't know." My poor baby! So happy our children are well and active now! *Cheers*
  24. Does the bloating come and go? Any other symptoms?
