  1. I think you need to ask your GP for the complete celiac panel. Kids can test out differently especially toddlers. The DGP is better for some unknown reason.   7. There are over 300 symptoms of celiac disease. Best bet is to get a celiac blood panel. Your child must be consuming gluten daily 8 to 12 weeks prior to the blood draw in order for the tests to be accurate. If the rash is DH it needs to be biopsied.   8. Yikes! I would find another doctor. A positive is a positive! Not every test on the celiac blood panel needs to be positive.   9. Unless you are on your way to becoming a Type 1 diabetic (autoimmine, adult LADA), you can prevent or delay full-blown Type 2. I would recommend reading Blood Sugar 101, a nice website that explains diabetes, all the types, testing, etc. I guess if your doctor messed up on celiac testing, I would not place much faith in his abilty to manage diabetes...

Looks negative to me (you have to use the range your lab provided), but.....your doctor should have told you that you should have been eating gluten daily for 8 to 12 weeks prior to the celiac blood test.   12. Always, always get copies of your lab results! Check your hemoglobin and ferritin (iron stores). When I was severely anemic I could not catch my breath. You could ask for other vitamin and mineral levels too, so that you can supplement (gluten-free of course). Mostly you need time.........to heal.

  14. Just clean your raw produce to wash off bacteria, fungi and the extremely rare risk of gluten and you should be safe. Nothing in life is 100% and that is why I stated "should be", but we have never been glutened by raw produce purchased from any supplier. We have been at this for 14 years! ?. . It did not bother my gluten-free hubby but he had been gluten-free for over a decade and no longer had a damaged gut. I switched to guar gum in my baking products.   22. You can disregard the AGA tests. Some countries do not have the newer DGP tests. Some insurance companies will prefer just the TTG test with the IGA deficiency control test.
