  1. Susan: I am older and wiser than you are, well I am 49 after all. Anyway, I just want to say to you we all have regrets, probably it's normal, if not it's normal for us. We can't change the past but we are in charge of this day forward. Do you understand what I am saying? Don't beat yourself up for would of could of should of, it's probably the funeral...
  2. Karen: That is just awful. I know I had a couple of really hard years after diagnosis and I knew I was not cheating, it just took me so much longer than what would be considered normal. My doctor acted like I was an irritant and it has finally gotten better. I pray the same result for you. Just one day it will slow the heck down. But please don...
  3. Let me see Vince, it's TAVEE kind of like. It's so hard to explain, but I think you have it right. wait, wait wait, do we have leaves in the fall? Do we even have a fall?
  4. I just ate a chocolate brownie. It is my sweetie's birthday and he loves my gluten free brownies.
  5. Now that made me smile. Glad you are doing so much better!
  6. Judy: I have had the same problem with D after taking 50 mg. of zoloft. I have heard this from other people and there was some thought that the zoloft might of caused the celiac to kick in. ANy thoughts on this? I hope you get much better Lisa, you sure sound better
  7. The movie popcorn is Oroville Redenbauker at my theatre and I have been ok having it.
  8. I don't know, just based on when you went gluten free you haven't been gluten-free for that long, it's all relative to how long you were sick before diagnosis. Have you had all your vitamin levels checked? The one's off the top of my head, B, K, D, folic acid? If all levels have been checked give your body some time to recover. It has taken me almost...
  9. I don't know about that Patti, but thank-you. I have just been "bumming "around this afternoon but it appears the heat must of driven everyone underground. I guess I must just be used to the heat. But how hot is it in R-Ville? Maybe it's not as hot as I think it is! I really like that, when you know better you do better. It leave hope open as a possibility
  10. Beth: Initally when I was so sick and would continue to get so ill my weight would go down. Now if I get sick I don't seem to lose the weight. It will get better for you, it just takes time.
  11. Ok, I have asked Scott to put my real name on, it's Tavi. I had put Sally when I first signed up because my name was so weird and I don't know, I just figured now that I am comfortable with all of you, what the heck, so it's taken me about 3 years, does it really matter? Anyway, Tavi is my real name, so can I still be the bum, huh can I? Karen: I am so...
  12. It seems to me they would be one and the same. With both of them you must remain gluten free the rest of your life. Could the difference be a genetic link? I am not sure, but welcome to the board
  13. Karen: What does the doctor say about all of that? That really does not sound good at all. How long has that been going on?
  14. Karen: Are you serious that you have D 30-40 times a day? I am really worried about that, unless your are being silly
  15. Welcome Kris: If you feel better with the gluten free diet is that enough for you? I don't think you must have the diagnosis and if you don't feel well can't the doctor just take you off work?
  16. Ok CC then I am just going to meander on over to the nearest tumbleweed and start listening and watching Thanks for letting me into town, but what does LMAO mean?
  17. Ok CC glad you liked it! Does that mean I get the job?
  18. I agree, wait as long as possible before giving anything with gluten in it. It seems to me I have read that also. Just to give you some information, the one child I breast-fed and didn't introduce solids until 6 months is the one that has tested positive for celiac. The other 2 have not so far
  19. I don't know enough about enterolab to answer that, but I have heard a lot of people say they liked using them and that depending on the type of tests, there are a lot of different costs involved, not all of them are the really expensive ones. I am sure someone will answer this for you.
  20. What kind of dog is that, I really like it. I would just go by how often he wants to eat out, something in the disclaimer made him uncomfortable. Can you go out and eat with friends, say at lunch. As far as eating out only once a month,, I have never heard that before. Have people really said that is the most we should eat out?
  21. Ok, I am home. I have decided that the job I want is to be the town bum, I think that sounds like a mighty fine idea, I'll just watch the comings and goings of all of you! I won't have to worry about a thing!
  22. Ok, I will be rolling into town in about 10 minutes. What job ill I have? I can do about anything, except I don't want to try and fix anybody's head!
  23. Dingo-girl Susan: Can you help a sister out? I think Christine needs your words of wisdom, she seems to be in quite a lot of pain. I know you have said you have been through this before. I have also but I am so old now that I just say no man is worth feeling like hell over, been there, done that, and with the grace of God I will never have to go there...
  24. Lisa: You sound so much better today!
  25. Well you are welcome. I was just noticing that the other day and it occured to me that it was quite a big jump. Scott has really helped spread the word and bring many of us together. So we should all thank him.
