  1. I don't think that's taking it too far, I bought a new toaster.
  2. Thank-you so much! If you like tea you should try it sometime it's really good.
  3. nogluten: How long have you had celiac disease? It may be that your body is just now healing. Or maybe your drive was alright to begin with.
  4. Well said bobcat girl! I like your spunk..... Lori, I am glad you have had good luck, too many of us have had rotton luck regarding this it's nice to hear positive stories!
  5. Maybe you are so busy you are eating less or burning off what you are eating. If your not sick I would say don't worry about it. hope that helps.
  6. I know, your too young to be reading such things! Anyway, having a son myself you made me laugh.
  7. Does anyone know if Oregon Chai tea is gluten free? Thanks
  8. glix you shouldn't be reading this! I hope your not wither celiac3270! Anyway Skarlet I think your right. Our bodies are so sick, our minds are wiped out and the last thing we have the energy for is sex. I have to say, mine is back! Rachel, if he couldn't stay with you through that, he really was not worth your time or effort or sex drive!
  9. I know what you all mean about doctor's! I had asked my brother to be tested, he went to the doctor who told him, "why would you want to go on that awful diet if your not having any symptoms?" My thought was that it may save him years of damage to his body. But, what do I know, I am just a social worker!
  10. I just had an interesting thing happen. My mom had been sick for several months, weight loss, no energy etc. While I was at the doctor with her I asked that she be tested for celiac. The doctor said he didn't have much faith in the blood test etc. I asked that he test it anyway, as you can guess her numbers were off the chart as positive for celiac. ...
  11. Thanks Beverly. I am well and as normal as I get now! I really did forget how awful it is to get sick. It seems so weird that before I knew what was wrong it had become just a way of life and now if I get a little gluten I get so sick. I figure it must be that our bodies become healthy and then if gluten get's in it goes into a full fledge revolt. Sometimes...
  12. Welcome emerald. Many of us don't have a docotr, we just watch what we eat and try and support each other. If we can help you through this let us know. What's your story, how did you find out, etc?
  13. How right you are Nettibeads
  14. The biggest issue for me is my kids putting their knife into my peanut butter, they don't seem to get how serious it is for me. Then they get upset when I get all freaky. Then my granddaughter was over the other night and we had barbequed hamburgers, I put hers in the bun and then cut the bun with my knife, I saw what I had done after I put the knife on...
  15. Ok, thanks guys. I'll have the talk and let you know. Thanks too for answering, it was a difficult question to ask. I felt kind of silly
  16. Thanks Kaiti I just can't imagine what has made me sick for so many day's. I have been over and over everything I have eaten and there is nothing new. It's the only other thing I can think of. I suppose I will have to mention it to him and see what his reaction is, it's not worth feeling this bad!
  17. Good Ianm, I am glad everything is going good for you! What is everyone else grateful for?
  18. I thought that would get a lot of attention! I have a serious question, not for you celiac3270 though, your too young to ask this of so stop reading! Here's the serious part, I have been seeing a gentleman for a month or so. I have not been ill in quite a long time. Since Wednesday night I have been really sick and can't seem to trace it to anything...
  19. Hi and welcome to everyone: I spent eight weeks at my mom's because I was so sick I couldn't carry on anymore, so many of you are new to me. Anyway, I put on 20 lbs. while I was there! It is very hard, so much of our lives involve food, going to someones house, out to eat, just sitting around talking. I think most of us went through all of the emotions...
  20. Hi Berneses: I am craving choclate, salt, those kind of things, also peanut butter. But I think I will stick to a baked potato. Boy I forgot how much it hurts. Anyone have any idea's on getting through the pain and stuff? Welcome Nettiebeads!
  21. This is really interesting, I crave peanut butter and chocolate, also salty foods. I somehow managed to get really sick night before last, I still can't trace it to what I could of possibly eaten. Anyway, it is still hurting pretty bad today, anyone remember how long this goes on? I don't think it could be the flu, I don't have any other symptoms, just...
  22. I went to update my mainstream gluten-free list and noticed that we now have to buy Clan Thompsons list. We used to have our own available to us. Does anyone know where to get a comprehensive list that is free? Thanks
  23. I had read somewhere that if you put a bar of soap under your sheets it takes the pain in your legs away. Anyway, I tried it and it worked!
