  1. I use gluten-free pancake/baking mix for anything I want coated and have found it to taste really good.

Igranott: How are you feeling now?
  3. I am a woman. Thought you might of forgotten me celiac3270, bu then I looked again and there I was!
  4. I agree, I don't see myself as a sick person although others appear to see me that way at times. I think of myself as gluten challenged, or how about a recovering gluten person.
  5. Congraulations on the baby Taniel. Is it your first. Congrats on your health too!

ARCHIVED Left Adrift By My Gi

Hio Jonsey: i have to say your posts made me smile tonight! I don't know about follow up care. In my area it is just not available. When my GI doctor diagnosed he said I would know more about it in a year that he did and left it at that. It is really frustrating and I feel like my GP does not really want to hear about it. I would think they should...
  7. Hi Westiepaws: I am looking for a westie. What do you think of them? Thanks Sally
  8. Hi Gfinnebraska: Is that a westie on your avatar? I am looking for a westie now that my kids have moved out on their own. That's the dog I have my heart set on. If it is let me know all about them. Thanks Sally
  9. I guess I am a little slow on the uptake. I just realized that I responded to a post that was old and I had already responded to it a few months ago. Sorry about that, I must have a little fog in my brain!
  10. Dear Coin-op: I think most of us have put a lot of research into food and products that are gluten free. We are a support group and we have for the most part supported each other through many different things both good and bad. We don't judge each other and try very hard to just be there to talk or whatever it is someone needs. Maybe you didn't...

Hi Heather, welcome to the board! It has been a wonderful experience for me and many others. There are so many supportive people and all will help you through the hurdles of sprue.
  13. I don't know Carrie, I right clicked on the picture and it said several options but one was set as desktop background? I am just lost on it.
  14. Thanks for the information Carrie. The part I can't seem to comprehend is how to get the picture out of my pictures and make it go to the avatar. Sally
  15. Hi Guys: Can someone lead this computer dense person step by step on putting a picture in the avatar? Thanks

Thanks Ianm. I spent 8 weeks at my mom's but am still having problems, just tired of dealing with doctors. It brings back too many memories of all the years before I knew I had celiac. I just keep telling myself that I feel great and take it from there!

I think if someone asks me one more time if I am on the Atkins diet I will barf!
  18. Doug: If I were you I would have him checked. I have not found another member with celiac but it presents in so many different forms they may not of been diagmosed correctly. I believe that if the blood test shows positive for celiac there is no need for the biopsy. He does need to have ingested gluten prior to being tested unless they look for the...
  19. celiac3270: Your the best!
  20. I have had some good luck with Amy's. They are a bit expensive but the macaroni and cheese is good. Somebody has posted about some good frozen dinners but I haven't been able to find that post. If anyone has any ideas.........
  21. I agree with Kaiti. Don't go gluten-free until after the biopsy. I still wonder why it's not enough if you have the blood test and it's positive they continue with the biopsy. I guess it's just one of those medical wonders. I think I wish my doctor had just told me after the blood test and not waitied for a month while I continued with the gluten. Hey...
  22. Ok, let's be fair. When I first read coin-ops post I was a little offended. Then I went back and read it, she had spelled educated wrong and I thought HA. Then I noticed she/he put a smiley face by it. I think her diet is lacking in many vitamins and maybe we can help her with a little variety. Remember each of us have adjusted in our own way. We all...
  23. Just being silly here, but did anybody notice that Rice Dream Ice Cream ryhmes?
  24. Rufus: I forgot to say welcome to the board. My manners are really lacking lately!
  25. Hi Rufus: I have read that there is now some thought that we may be able to eat gluten. Once I read that I decided to try it. I got very ill so I don't think I am likely to repeat that experience. I think it has something to do with where they are produced. Does anybody know about this? I believe there may be some people whose bodies are able to tolerate...
