  1. I doubt the Court will give much weight to him if all he has is supervised visits but to be sure I would give her doctor records to your attorney My prayers are with you and be sure to let us know
  2. Autum: I don't mean to seem as if I am coming down on you, but why if you suspect celiac would you give your daughter even low amounts of gluten? It seems to me that it would be easier to have her grow up being gluten free rather than have her change to gluten-free after she is older. If it were my daughter and I suspected celiac I would stop the gluten...
  3. I know it is hard. When my kids were home (3) I had a hard enough time keeping enough food in the house for them and they weren't gluten free. I was hungry many times. Now, with just my food to buy there are many things I can't afford due to the expense of our gluten-free food. I haven't had bread in over a month because it's so expensive. I don't have...
  4. I think all of you are incredible, brave, strong smart and wonderful people and I cherish each of you!
  5. Wow Deb I didn't know that. Makes sense my son is over 6" my girls not as tall as me I am 5'7"
  6. Congraulations!! I am so very happy for you!!!!
  7. Nothing to add Lisa: Just wanted to wish you luck
  8. Must agree with this, guess I missed the war We don't always agree but in the end we are always there for each other, just like any family Vicki: Are you 11 years old or 11 years gluten free? Just re-read your post 11 years gluten free, good for you.
  9. That just sounds awful. I remember I went to the doctor a few years ago and told him I had lost 10 pounds in the past 2 weeks, he said lot's of my patients wish they had that problem. I went back in another 2 weeks and said, I have lost another 10 pounds and am really scared. Only then did he take me seriously and sent me to an internist who did a blood...
  10. Lister: It should never be taken lightly when you cough up blood. If I remember right you smoke that stuff, go to the doctor please!
  11. Does anyone know if we can use the Flexible Spending Account medical card to purchase gluten free food? If I can where would I shop online?
  12. Happy for you Karen!
  13. What about Santa Claus Richard? The Easter Bunny??
  14. Hi Julie: By some lucky twist it has not been that bad. Must be some kind of miracle! Although I don't think I'll push my luck on that again! Thanks for asking. I have missed being on this post, it just has been hard having my daughter so far away, but then I should be on here more often I guess.
  15. I think Karen is right. It looks like it was the way she said it, not what she said. Or the way it was taken, the basic information was that celiac damage can for most people be reversed.
  16. Hineini: I think your statement is rather unfair. Many of us give our advice, and it's only advice based upon our experiences and none of us have even hinted that all of someones health problems are celiac related. One must research, just as someone that was posting everything was Lyme related, it is only their opinion and I would as a responsible adult...
  17. Watching it now!
  18. Stinger: I just wanted to say that you must be a great friend!
  19. I actually agree with what you wrote. (kind of shocked me! ) I would push the doctor to sent you to a neurologist to check into the vertigo. It appears that the doctor found one thing and has stopped looking, not a good idea. I would also add that you need to eat more calories. Be good to yourself and help your body heal. Welcome.
  20. As it is with life. Most of our reactions to things is based upon our experience. I think that this site is based upon what each of our experiences are, or our observations or our thoughts. Just as with this disease as time moves on more advances are made. I bet in 10 years we will look back at some of what is posted here and think, can you believe we...
  21. $40.00 a day? Am I reading that right? $40.00 a week is what I spend, can I have my own show!!
  22. I am not tired of hearing about your good experiences! I like a positive thought now and then!
  23. I agree with you Rachel, but then I live in your town! Personally I like that some of the threads make me laugh, as far as any other ones we always have the option of ignoring them if we don't like what is being said.
  24. Thanks Lisa That makes me sad Debbie. You were one of the first people I met here.
  25. I don't think it's gluten free
