  1. Oh I just looked it up. Weight loss is a symptom of hyperthyroid. Also my heart rate was 109. I emailed my dr and asked for those tests
  2. Oh and yes I'm constantly constipated which I thought 3 weeks of being off gluten would fix but I still have it
  3. I have symptoms except for the weight gain. I have lost weight and have always had a hard time keeping it on. My gyn ordered the tsh because I had a 17 day menstrual period. I'm extremely fatigued, heart rate is high, and blood pressure was high. Also my alkaline phosphate level is really low and when I looked up causes for that hypothyroidism was listed...
  4. I had my ferritin rechecked the other day and it went from 22 to 34. Maybe I'm absorbing nutrients now. They rechecked it because I've been having very heavy menstrual bleeding, I thought for sure it would drop dangerously low but it actually went up!
  5. When I have really bad GERD I get that pain in my chest, it also spreads to the shoulder. Are you eating anything acidity? Even coffee can trigger it but I'm not about to give that up! I'm experiencing the jaw pain the last couple days. Can't figure it out, feels like I've been punched in the jaw! It's the lower left but not in the corner where the joint...
  6. I'm a little over 3 weeks gluten-free and I am so tired. I sleep until after 9:00 am and still need a nap mid afternoon and then I'm tired again by evening. So I guess it's diet related and I agree not enough calories. I've just started drinking ensure plus and have a appointment next week with a dietician. The fatigued is awful! I have my own handcrafted...
  7. There is an online lab, not sure if they ship to UK or not. They test the stool it's called enterolab
  8. It's only been a little over 3 weeks gluten free and I've been stupid lol. I'm not a man. I've grabbed a bite of my daughters mall pretzel (who can resist those) and she becomes the mother. My 13 yr old daughter is the one telling me "I told you so". This is not easy we suddenly have to stop the foods we love. It's hard for me because I haven't been officially...
  9. Mine is 2.4 is that good? Kaiser uses the old range. Their range is 0.1-5.5
  10. My last asthma attack I had last month put me in the hospital. It's what has led to celiac testing for me. My Dr said the severe attack was triggered by gluten (we were on vacation and ate out every day). Do you have a peak flow meter? That will tell you if it's asthma related and how bad the attack is. I would call your dr. asthma can get out of hand...
  11. Same here. I'm 5' 4" and am down to 105, I started at 109 but have lost weight. I've never weighed over 110 except of course during pregnancy. I don't like it, I always feel people think I have an eating disorder :-/
  12. and maybe food intolerances in general. My mother is allergic to strawberries, she had a severe reaction to them as an adult but she never remembered reacting to them as a child. weird. yeah seems so, the bloating and everything is still present but I've only been gluten free since July 2nd so not enough time to completely heal. But the pain is gone...
  13. I'm perplexed! I was just chatting with my kids about how we would go camping and I would eat cookies, sandwiches, and all the other good camping food and never had a problem. Yes I've always had digestive issues and was diagnosed with GERD last year, but I could eat bread etc and not have the dilibilating pain that I get now. The pain is the worst stomach...
  14. wow, I just logged on this morning to search the forum for anything on this topic. I went to the gyn a few days ago because I am now going on 15 days of straight bleeding. I spotted before this last cycle too so at this point it's almost been continuous. I just turned 40 this month like literally 3 weeks ago. My ferritin level is already low to begin...
  15. I'm in the same situation. All symptoms point to celiac, even my GI doc says that. He told me the same- gluten free for a month and if I feel better stick with it. He said, and I'm quoting him, "celiac disease can be very hard to diagnose, even if all tests are normal" I know how you feel, I too wish I had a more concrete diagnosis. But for now the assumption...
  16. Hmm so my acute adult onset asthma may have triggered celiac?
  17. I understand! I thought maybe it was the title I put so no one clicked on it. I just have pretty much lost my confidence in doctors at this point! I suffered a year of breathing problems with misdiagnosis and it took me having an asthma attack in the Dr office for them to finally get me to a pulmonologist and then I was diagnosed with adult onset asthma with...
  18. I read the same thing about the alp seems to be rare, Dr will probably dismiss it because its low rather than high ugghh
  19. Calcium, iron and D were ok. Still waiting for zinc. I've only had the TSH done. But my post about my symptoms, some said it sounds like I have symptoms of it. I have lost weight, currently weigh 106 and I'm 5' 3"
  20. I haven't had any responses about the alp being low so I'm reposting These are some lab results that have come back so far. Any thoughts? Alkaline phosphaste 24 (under 37 is low mine is pretty low) Ferritin 22 (borderline low) RBC 3.97 (borderline low) Potassium 3.8 (borderline) B12 487 Folate high (anything over 17 is high mine was over 24) Still...
  21. My Dr ordered a bunch of bloodwork to check my nutrition and vitamin levels. Results are slowly coming back but still waiting for some more. So far my Alkaline phosphatase is pretty low. Anything under 30 is low and mine is 24. A few other levels are borderline: Ferritin 22 (borderline low) RBC 3.97 (borderline low) Potassium 3.8 (borderline) And vit...
  22. Thanks. For now it's gluten free chexs or eggs for breakfast!
  23. I have high eosinophils but I also have asthma so it's hard to say. high eosinophils are very common in asthmatics since they are present in the lungs but I also had asthma come out of the blue at the age of 38. I'm going through the same roller coaster as you are right now but my dr. said for me to go gluten free and see if I improve. my dr (GI dr.)...
  24. If you read my post the other day you will see the long struggle and long list of symptoms I've had. Had an appointment today with the same GI that did my endoscopy. He said that just because my bloodwork and biopsy were negative for celaic it doesn't mean that I don't have it. Could be not enough damaged done yet, especially since this started only about...
  25. <Have you been tested for allergies?> Yes I am allergic to numerous trees, molds, dust, dog and cat dander. Currently getting allergy shots. Also have allergic rhinitis
