  1. "Nervous stomach", occasional fainting as a child. Teen years symptom free, in my late 20's after my second child was born, began having panic attacks, anemia, and nausea. Late 2003, had the flu and was never the same--developed chronic diarrhea, persistent anemia despite treatment, tingling/numbness/"burning", depression, anxiety, headaches, severe fatigue...
  2. A couple of useless tidbits....on Gilligan's Island the Skipper's full name was Jonas Grumby, and Gilligan's first name was Willy. Carry on....
  3. Yes! I liked to refer to them.... So cute about Skeeter and her new ear holes
  4. The only Cetaphil product that is gluten-free is the Gentle Skin Cleanser. I've been using it for a while now with no issues, and I'm very sensitive. When I inquired about their moisturizer, they told me that all of their other products can not be considered gluten-free. Here is the email from them-- The Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser does not contain...
  5. Great to hear you had such a nice day!
  6. Whenever I see tocopheryl or vitamin E on an ingredients list, I call the company to inquire about the source. Most times, they have to check and get back to me since the reps don't always have that information in front of them.
  7. <snort> Pataughmn!!! WIH have you been? How ya doin'?
  8. Sounds like cross contamination to me. When I get gas like that (interestingly not so much with gluten--that lasts only about a day and precedes diarrhea; I get unrelenting, horrible, embarrassing gas when I eat legumes--almost ridiculous truthfully...), I stick with bland carbs like potato, bananas, pasta with a little butter, etc. No spices, grease...
  9. This is without a doubt Celiac--Molly, my advice would be to stick with your gluten-free diet, continue to heal and feel better, and please don't damage your intestine again just to satisfy that doctor.
  10. Oh good gawd!! He looks like a heck of a good sport, though
  11. Rice/almond/soy milks. I was dairy free for 5 years, for cream sauces I used Pacific rice milk.

  14. You can also make your own cream soup base and flavor it any way you like-- Gluten Free Cream Soup Base modified from Bette Hagman's recipe 1 c. dry milk powder 1 c. white rice flour 2 Tbs. dehydrated minced onions 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. salt Mix together. Store on the counter. To make cream soup from the base, mix together...
  15. I try to be, but sadly I am not Sheldon--and his Cyclon toast Open Original Shared Link Edited because I can't spell galactic words
  16. Hee! Sheldon has a similar one one on Big Bang Theory I think his is a Klingon? I'm so uncool
  17. Positive response to the gluten-free diet, and symptoms that recur when adding it back is a valid diagnostic tool in and of itself. If you are comfortable listening to your body and don't need a firm medical diagnosis, then just go 100% gluten-free yourself. You don't need a doctor to tell you what to eat--if it makes you sick, don't eat it. This board...
  18. Bevvie and Rah-shell, I'm so sorry you are going through some rough spots. As you know, I've been married about 450 years now and I wish I had some words of wisdom for you. Know that the longer you stick it out, the more ups and downs you will encounter because when you think about it, what you have are 2 distinct people who have come from different backgrounds...
  19. :o <pukephace> I think that has to be one of the grossest things I've ever seen! I'm speechless
  20. After being gluten-free for 6 months, 3 weeks just isn't enough time to insure an accurate test result. The rule of thumb is to eat the equivalent of 3-4 slices of wheat bread a day for 3-4 months. I would reschedule both tests for later on--the blood test probably won't be accurate either at this point.
