  1. New York strips, smothered in onions, on toast. Smashed potatoes. Wine.
  2. The Chai Tea Lattes are gluten-free.
  3. 1956, I have also been diagnosed with Gilbert's, my bilirubin fluctuates as well as my enzymes. I was told by the doctor to be careful not to get dehydrated, as that would cause it to dip.
  4. My liver enzymes still fluctuate between normal and slightly elevated after over 7 years on the gluten-free diet. I had a work up 3 years ago--lots of blood work, ultrasound, endoscopy-- and the GI basically said it was "sprue related", as no other cause was found.

I make pizza crust with the Gluten Free Pantry French Bread mix also. I like thin crust, so I get 3 crusts out of a box.
  6. Had a big lunch out, so homemade chicken noodle soup. Butterscotch pie for dessert
  7. Yeah, easing into a new month wifout Nik's pinches just ain't the same Have phun Karreighin-- we went last weekend, this weekend we are painting one of the bathrooms. <underwhelmed phace> Oh-- they have a new gluten-free dessert (at least since I had last been there)-- a chocolate mousse pie thingy. 'twas good but not as good as The Dome...
  8. I accept! When do I get me silly badge and pocket bullet? Can we have a ceremony?
  9. Hi:). Rose is right (and your Naturopath is wrong). It is not ok to eat gluten once in a while. You will be fine, just be as gluten free as you possibly can.

  12. I'm happy fer ya, Ricky Russell--but I don't know what this means I'm not very cool So today I went to CVS to do a little peaceful shopping, minding me own business.....and as I came around the hair care aisle, I glanced down the baby aisle and spotted two women bent over cramming cans of infant formula into bags. They didn't notice me, so I nonchalantly...
  13. I remember what it was like to be in that muddle of trying to figure out what was causing problems for me. It could be overwhelming at times, when I seemingly reacted for no apparent reason while being so strict. I truly thought back then that after 20+ years of sickness, I would go gluten free and feel "normal". (rude awakening....but it's a process)...

  15. So true. It is very frustrating at first, and the longer you have been ill before diagnosis, the longer it can take. I did the whole allergist testing/elimination diet stuff and stayed gluten, dairy, soy, legume, tapioca, coconut, grain lite, and corn free for 5 years. Not fun, but walking that thin line allowed me to feel almost well more days than not...
  16. Ugh! This is very outdated thinking. Many people with Celiac are normal or overweight. I was slightly overweight myself (15-20 lbs.) but right before I was finally diagnosed I began losing weight rather quickly and uncharacteristically. You tested positive, and thankfully the doctor is treating you according to that. Best of luck at the nutritionist...
  17. I'm glad you are ok, L2T .

Hi Cory, get yourself a $10 toaster and a loaf of Glutino Genius White Bread. Fabulous toasted with peanut butter.
  22. Mmmm! How do you make the honey butter chicken? Sounds good. I'm making oven "fried" chicken tenders and homemade Mac and cheese.
  23. Wonderful Summer--Robin Ward
