  1. It makes perfect sense to me. When the right opportunity comes along, you'll know it.
  2. That's what we're here for Glad you're starting to feel better!
  3. I've never heard of those scary shows, Celia. Susan--sounds like an interesting evening at you house--painting (don't mention that word to me ), Monopoly and drinking. A lot more exciting than my house Celia--You'd be fabulous at anything that you tried!
  4. I've been thinking about much the same thing, Celia, since I've begun to feel better. I always volunteered at my sons' schools while they were growing up. Usually in the media center. I loved my job at the high school, so I don't know if I'll go back to something like that, or maybe volunteer--something with older kids, maybe? My mother in law...
  5. Hi-- I really like Shikai Everyday Shampoo and Conditioner. These are gluten-free, plant based, no animal ingredients and no animal testing. I won't use products anymore that are tested on animals
  6. Gluten free buns--good one!!
  7. You have a lovely way of expressing yourself! And I agree with you
  8. Hi Andrea--Good that MItch will have the fissure taken care of. Hope it will not be too hard on him. It'll be nice to have him around the house-- Hey Susan--The dingos had quite the day for themselves! I guess you, Andrea, Celia and I will be holding down the fort tonight We'll keep a candle on for Rachel
  9. Oh gosh--that's a tough one. Just be firm with the waiter and manager about your needs. Maybe eat something before you go and then order something small and simple. I've not been to Ruby Tuesdays since the dx, but I have eaten successfully at Fridays. I spoke to the manager, and asked them to make my plain steak (no seasonings) on a cleaned part...
  10. Carla--I had the exact same symptoms while coming off gluten as you--I know that feeling of having been "beaten up"! I truly felt like a wet dish rag for the first 3 months or so. My tongue also felt like it didn't fit in my mouth anymore--sometimes I couldn't get a word out right to save my life I went through trying to figure out all of my intolerances...
  11. I agree! What is happening to life as we know it??? Where is everybody else? (Sound) Crickets.....
  12. You'll have to put up some more pics from the wedding!
  13. The one I've been seeing this whole time is the dog with a red bow on the right side. Hope this is the right one!
  14. Hi Celia--I've missed you, too! I'm around tonight--and all weekend. My husband and son are going to a car show in PA, and the weather is just too hot for me, so I'm staying home. We did get the painting done, finally! The room is all back together, and I'm so happy with the way it turned out. I'll take some pictures and as soon as we get...
  15. The regular Oscar Mayer Weiners are fine.
  16. Did you try hitting "refresh"?
  17. I love tea, but I swear--I reacted to teas made by companies that also use gluten. I was so happy to find a company that didn't use it at all--Wegman's carries most, if not all of their flavors and I'm like a kid in a candy shop!
  18. I drink Stash Tea. They are completely gluten-free. No gluten in any of their teas! Open Original Shared Link My favorite is the Caramel Creme Decaf--they also have green tea.
  19. I really like MyChelle, too! I used to use their Honeydew Cleanser. Very nice They even have some of their products at Whole Foods.
  20. Donna--I'm glad to hear that you're ok and everything! Have fun with your beads
  21. My allergist requires being off antihistimines for 3 days before testing.
  22. I definately feel better with a moderate amount of fat. I stick to olive oil, olives, palm oil (as shortening) almonds and meats as my sources of fat.
  23. Everybody must be pm'ing Rachel--her mailbox is full! Hopefully she'll check in soon....
