  1. Yes the soaps, almost forgot about those, I had issues for my first 6 months gluten-free with minor issues that ended up being the shampoo I was using. A lot of them like to use some form of hydrolyzed protein like wheat in them. Even ones that do not if another product on the line does, a good chance that product at one pout used the same bottling machines...
  2. Was at Whole foods when I saw them putting out fresh bins of lettuce, peppers, and tomatoes (Salad without contamination) and jumped at fixing myself something. I was looking at the other gluten-free options they had and they had a garlic and herb Couscous dish labeled gluten-free (No intention to eat it just thought this was wrong). Now I know in America...
  3. Found a UPC list from Several Grocery stores, you can takes these to your local grocery store manager and have items ordered. Open Original Shared Link ^HEB/Central Market Open Original Shared Link ^Whole Foods select location and store and you can even see what they have in stock. Open Original Shared Link ^ Kroger Open...
  4. Makes you feel better, I have the same issues with the nodes on my neck randomly swelling, and constant night sweats, like sometimes bed soaked. Several other random symptoms like bloody stool etc come and go (thought it was lymphoma myself). I got a endoscope earlier in the month and the only thing they found was polyps, which tested negative for cancer...
  5. I personally stick to soups, stir Fries, egg white omelettes with added fats, and my own homemade, ice creams, cheese sauces, and dips. And sometimes treat myself to my own baked goods, and tiny bits of foods I prep for others. I also snack alot on stuff I trust from brands I trust of seeds, nuts, etc. Sometimes you branch out a bit and it bites back like...
  6. Feel free to add your own and places you suggest to get stuff, I am sharing the ones I know well and the ones I use most. These include companies and places to get them. In most cases you can request these products at your local grocery stores and have them ordered for you. Open Original Shared Link ^Ians gluten-free options you will find sides...
  7. Welcome to the forums, this is a great group for support. I have multiple issues (check profile) related to Celiac disease myself. It have been a great experience here over the years. And I often find myself helping others or coming out about my issues here. Feels like a nice understanding family most the time. I also post often on recipes, suggestions on...
  8. Umm the way your phrased this makes no sense. I had to reread it over 4 times to try to understand it. But yes, if in a shared house some stuff might happen, I always suggest gloves, and laying out freezer paper on your prep surfaces. I also have a habit of leaving the fridge, cabinets, and drawers open before I start cooking to avoid touching the handles...
  9. YEP, grapes are one of those fruits really high in fructose and quick sugars normally, so they are really bad with me. So a SF grape jelly......YES. Really loving this flavor again. even made peanut free peanut butter pancakes with coconut flour, flax seed, egg whites, and this artificial peanut flavoring that is peanut free. OH DEAR GOD, allergic to peanuts...
  10. Yes the Sugar Free one I listed contains no sugar not even fruit sugars. It uses sucrose as a sweetener with water and a tiny bit of juice/extract in pectin, I can literally sit down and eat half a jar and not get sick. Like a god send when more then 1-3 grapes normally makes you feel bloated and sick. Got another jar of the sugar free grape, no issues and...
  11. Sounds great but, I can not have more then a tsp of those or two. I can not have fructose based sugars or sweet carbs in any but the smallest amounts. Like 3-5 blueberries, 1-2 figs, 1-2 dates in a meal. I bloat like crazy and become super gassy with them. Sorta why I jumped at these sugar free jams and pig out on them. Something about my gut biome and sugars...
  12. Yeah I learned how to make my own with polmeria pectin, it uses calcium instead of sugar for thickening. So I can sweeten a jam with xylitiol, monkfruit, stevia, etc. And use LorrAnn oils extracts to make flavors. Goes well with nut milks or calcium water, bit of trouble to make honestly and I thought I had found something I could just buy in a jar that would...
  13. Welcome Comrade, to the Gluten, Corn, and Dairy free life. If you need help tell me, I am highly allergic to corn so I know with a gluten-free and corn there are major restrictions. Like in baking powder the only safe one is Heinz as it does not use corn starch, most processed foods even the gluten-free ones use plain which has corn starch. Enjoy Life is...
  14. So I got some jam Open Original Shared Link It did not bother me and it was the first time I had bad a jam/jelly in over a year due to my issues with sugars. I loved it and cleared the first jar in 2 days in heaven no issues. Then I went and got some of their Blueberry SF Preserves Open Original Shared Link Now I do not have a issue with blueberries...
  15. I suggest a food elimination diet, removing all processed food period. Then try eating certain raw whole foods and on a process of elimination. This way you can figure out what food is causing your issues. I found keeping a base diet of salad no seasoning, or dressing, with a plain protein and then ever few days trying a different "Side Food" then recording...
  16. I always binge on homemade dairy free low sugar icecream in the evenings to deal with stress, or at time find myself shoveling hand fulls of almonds or pumpkin seeds down. I might suggest keeping stuff like enjoy life soft cookie or bars next time or some dried fruit and nuts in a stash drawer. For now take some magnesium, warm herbal teas, and try to sleep...
  17. A lot of members swear by nuts.com I have issues with peanuts so that's a no go for me. I found TraderJoe's seems safe and they claim is alright. I mostly use Open Original Shared Link ^I go though a 25lb box in about 2-3 months normally >.> stuffs my substance .
  18. 1.) Once you started the Gluten Free Diet (GFD), how long did you go before your first involuntary glutening? Less then a week, Living with my family then. 2.) How many times were you glutened your first year? Too many to count 3.) How long do your symptoms last once you've been glutened? Wanes off after a day or two but all the symptoms...
  19. Should be gluten-free my only concern is if he handles non gluten-free products like marinaded meats also. If this is cut at a butchers he might use the same knife and cutting board for the marinaded meats as he does the non. I rarely get meats aside from when I am cooking for someone else or using them to make a stock. And personally only trust certain...
  20. ^WRONG Quote (site will not seem to copy the quote that was intended as I meant to do GFinDCs above this one) I Pm'ed him a bunch of options will post here for others to see there are sources with links, along with a few updates of places I forgot, you can ask local grocery stores to stock them and check the where to buy on the sites. Few of them...
  21. Get this kind of issue everywhere, the bulk containers of ingredients get contaminated from the workers touching the other sandwiches then reaching in to get the ingredients. This is also a issue in buffets, food courts, and pretty much every restaurant. You have to check with places even with gluten-free menus to make sure they know what you have and have...
  22. While I can not eat this anymore I made this for a friend who was staying over, last night. Simple, quick, low prep, and CHEAP 1 cup dry medium grain brown rice (I always used lundberg) 8 cups water 1/2 tsp salt Optional Seasonings/Additives Sweet Raisins, Dates, Figs, Plums, Chopped Apple/Pear, Sweet Potato, Pumpkin Puree Nuts/Seeds...
  23. You will not even notice the biopsy as they only take a very tiny amount. I know how I personally react, a lot of us have very serious symptoms and reactions. You seem to be a silent celiac. One where your symptoms are not as pronounced, it is one of the kinds out there. But as you can imagine those of use that do have very violent reactions, to it...
  24. It does look like mixed results but I seeing it as a positive when I read it. I suggest staying on gluten for a bit and getting the endoscope and biopsies done. This is the standard and there is no reason to stop only half finished. Once you get the full diagnoses I would then suggest going gluten-free, and working out your issues from there.
  25. Sounds like you might have it, celiac disease effects everyone differently. It being a autoimmune disease that causes ones own immune system to mistakes and attack ones body damaging it. The whole fruit/sugar issues is a common enough problem. I get bloat and other gastric issues with carbs and sugars, and have had to be on a mostly fat, and protein diet...
