ARCHIVED Elevated Iga From Celiac Disease Test. I Do Not Have Celiac Disease…Ennis-TX replied to Astrongtower's topic in Related Issues & Disorders Sure it is tough at first but once you get a hang of it it gets pretty easy. As I mentioned before your catching it before you body is damaged to the point of developing other allergies or intolerance. You can still have all those foods, but just have to buy a gluten-free brand version of them. Blessed you are in this respect, as I can not do this as I developed...

Yep warehouse level, they do not stock it anymore in the area . I do special order nut milks, flax milk, sauces, sugar free jams and salt free canned goods by the case but those cheese and yogurts they can not even get the order codes for. I found I can special order a lot of things from Thrive, and a few companies but refrigerated dairy alternatives, and...

I hear you on this my local stores stopped stocking So delicious coconut yogurt unsweetened versions on the warehouse level. I can not handle sugars, so it was a must for me and now I have to drive a 80+ mile round trip to the city and buy it by the case. I love the stuff and use it puddings, smoothies, and even mix it with the gluten-free dip mixes from...

Go to there sites find ones that are also dairy free and find...

ARCHIVED Elevated Iga From Celiac Disease Test. I Do Not Have Celiac Disease…Ennis-TX replied to Astrongtower's topic in Related Issues & Disorders Umm, for me personally, it was literally killing me. Celiac is a autoimmune disease, that same immune system that kills germs, well it goes after gluten in people with celiac disease and often mistakes the intestines, nervous system, brain, joints etc. Different people are affected differently by it, but in general its is like you body fighting a germ/disease...

ARCHIVED Fiber Powder in Baked GoodsEnnis-TX replied to NZions's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips Might try it in a fudge recipe? I just recently have semi luck using it for making cheese this morning, odd texture but taste like a cheese, seems to stay really gooy with a bit of a slime Heating Psylliumm husk seems to always make a slime, got to admit it taste great with orange, chocolate, or cheese flavor but this texture is awful to try to make palatable...

ARCHIVED Fiber Powder in Baked GoodsEnnis-TX replied to NZions's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips Psyllium can be tricky, I find it gels, and creates a goo when cooked, you will notice it around the outside of the baked goods and it will pull part with it. Might gross the kid out, I know it does to me and is why I only use it in homemade ice creams and cheese sauces. I do have a high fiber vegan cheese dip recipe and a vegan gluten-free pizza crust recipe...

ARCHIVED Food questions 2 months post diagnosisEnnis-TX replied to my thorn's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease The Whole food diet is suggested as a means normally to make it easier on to body to get nutrients, and for you to help nail down any other issues that might be present like certain nutrient absorption issues, or intolerance. You seem to not have any other major issues, or have not mentioned any like nerve pains, anxiety, gut pains, muscle issues, etc. ...

Old post but none the less, few odd points, I have gotten glutened by grabbing a bottle of sparking mineral water that a family member had drank out of after eating something with gluten in it. Have to be careful with opened ones, Also some flavored waters might have something you could react to, same with ones with added minerals or vitamins. This last ones...

ARCHIVED "De-glutening" The House QuestionEnnis-TX replied to weekendwarrior's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease I personally would play it safe and replace everything, few thing should be ok like non scratched ceramic, and stainless steel if you scrub the heck out of it and it has no new scratches. As to the slow cooker they have liners for them that should help. For a while I would suggest using freezer paper for your prep surfaces to help with issues. And you seem...

ARCHIVED Upper Endoscope ResultsEnnis-TX posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease I got the results back from my upper endoscope today. He said I am doing good (Healing), just have inflammation, and to maintain a gluten-free diet and my nexium. They removed a few polyps from my stomach and intestine and they came back negative for cancer and bacteria. I was given pictures from the scope but do not know what I am looking for here....

ARCHIVED Fiber Powder in Baked GoodsEnnis-TX replied to NZions's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips I have a recipe for a paleo cake that uses coconut flour, almond meal and flax seed, quite high in fiber. Using Nutiva coconut flour in different foods ups the fiber content. As for cooking with a actual fiber powderlike pylius husk....DONT it gels up and becomes quite nasty in baked foods, I suggest using it in puddings, and ice creams if you insist. Hmm...

I use on rotation NutraKey V-pro which has a great blend and mixes great. And MRM Veggie Elite bit gritty but great balanced blend, these are my post workout choices. I Like to add a bit extra Sancha Inichi to the MRM blend for more fats and a nuttier taste along with my own almond butter. The V-pro I normally also have pumpkin seed protein powder (great...

ARCHIVED Really fed up, and need some helpEnnis-TX replied to poorlypup87's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms Did a bit of research and have two new points to add to this. 1. In the UK if your diagnosed with celiac, gluten free foods fall under medical requirements and you can literally get government prescriptions for gluten free food that your insurance would have to cover. Wish we had this in the US, we only have a tax deduction system which they make you...

ARCHIVED Really fed up, and need some helpEnnis-TX replied to poorlypup87's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms The mouth ulcers, and generally bad feeling can be a allergy, Corn gives me those issues, a food elimination diet might help you nail down the culprit. Start by changing to a whole food only diet, and removing certain foods for a about a week then reintroduce them for a few days then remove again while keeping a diary of how you feel. I might suggest starting...

	>.> this is odd coming from a male but I use EO hair care since they have a nice keratin infused shampoo that works great with blow drying and straightening hair with a iron. I also use Acure skin care products often like the facial wipes, and scrubs. I am currently using The sea weed company bath wash, and been using Hugo Naturals hand soap for awhile...

ARCHIVED Do you eat casein?Ennis-TX replied to sella's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications I can not have lactose (intolerant) , or whey (allergic) , but I do enjoy a few vegan friendly cheeses that use casein protein with no issues at all. Will admit it is very odd that it does not bother me, but as a slow break down protein it is great for filling full, and helping with muscle building.

ARCHIVED Extreme Hunger....Ennis-TX replied to Rachel--24's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease MRM Meal Replacement shake ($28 3lb Lucky Vitamin) is good snack, low sugar/carb, blend of fats and protein. I also sometimes just mix up my own with pure protein powder, using MRM Veggie Elite ($20-30 2lbs Amazon or lucky prices vary), or NutraKey V-Pro ($20-26 Amazon 2lb) Jarrow Optimal ($14 1lb Lucky vitamin) . I heard from a few others that Pioneer Labs...

ARCHIVED Corn-Free, Dairy-Free, Egg-Free, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free, Sugar-Free BreadEnnis-TX replied to William1966's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips I have a recipe for a bread that fits that, it is a bit like a corn bread in texture, I cook it in pie pans normally, and add herbs and seasonings to it. It does not use yeast either. 240g Garbanzo Flour or GarFava Flour (Authentic Foods is a nice choice here) 2tbsp Tapioca Flour (Optional I find it helps with texture and rise a bit) 1tsp guar gum...

I feel on this quite alot, I live the bubble life, up and down days, very limited. Been like this for years, I still have hope, I am trying to run my own gluten free allergen friendly baking, and snack business. Bit of a issue getting money with my health, situation but I started a fundraiser that is slow, and hoping I run into a philanthropist to jump start...

Going to say no, they use the same ovens often and I doubt they have a gluten-free dedicated one and are trained in cross contamination. The gluten-free bun idea is mostly to please the "Fad" gluten-free dieters, There is also the issues of them reaching across bins and grabbing different things with gloves that just handled bread, even if they change gloves...
