ARCHIVED Bath And Body Works Ingredients
Rusla replied to nik-ed's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
One of the products I used to make was a wonderful oat soap. It made the skin so lovely but after my dx, I made sure I got rid of the ones I had kept for myself. When I first got dx'd I was glutening myslef with everything. It isn't worth it to me to use it and accidently gluten myself. The other thing is when anything with gluten in it touches my scalp... -
The stuff looked so good and from what I hear tasted good but I can't take that chance. It takes such a minute amount to make me sick.

ARCHIVED Idea - How About A gluten-free Convention
Rusla replied to Nantzie's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Advance registration is actually a must. We would have to know how many hotel rooms are needed, how many for lunch if it is provided by the facility etc. We also have to get prices on the site if we can't get it sponsored which would set the registration rate. Not only that but without pre-registration the sponsor ship of my products, wil make it impossible... -
I know a lot of people have been glutened by Amy's foods and I would say the reason why is on the packaging ,it says it is produced in a facility with wheat products. I was up at Amaranth foods and they showed me the Amy's that was gluten-free. However after reading where it is produced it really isn't, not for me anyway. So when I was up there I got some...

ARCHIVED Idea - How About A gluten-free Convention
Rusla replied to Nantzie's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Just one consideration on NYC, I hear from many it is the most expensive place in the US. So maybe we can get a deal from whichever hotel we are at and maybe they would throw in a convention room. On a good note, I haven't been there either and I am sure there be many a derelict there and derelict old buildings. Let's get Donald Trump to help us -

That would be cool for those who bring kids. I would also need a count on kids and babies if anyone bring them also. As I have gluten-free products for kids, babies, animals, adults...etc. -

I think if we extend the convention on Saturday night to 9 pm or have a dinner after it on Saturday and give out prizes then too. I guess it depends on what we have lined for the day. The sight seeing thing would be good. I could get pictures of derelicts at the White House etc.. Then for future years it could be held in different places. In both Canada... -

Well I have never been to DC either. I really haven't been down the East Coast at all of the US. I have been to every state that looks like Saskatchewan and the beautiful states on the West Coast. I like getting pictures of derelicts and derelict buildings. Got any of those in DC? -

That is a good question, we need all those in Maryland to post that. Well, Maryland is one of the States I have not been to yet. I will have my camera so I can get pictures of everyone and Radman dancing on the table if he comes. -

Then not only will you be featured on Jerry Springer but possibly in "Best Livingroom Designs for Trailer Park Homes." Although I really do like leather couches. Actually your couches have to be faux leather then that would be better. -

Should find a hotel that is very close to where we plan to hold it unless we hold it in a convention room in the hotel. That way, us who come from other planets aren't getting lost. Of course depending on the amount of people going will determine whether I have to ship anything ahead of time or not. Websites are cheap to buy, Deborah got a webhost to donate... -

The t-shirt thing is a good idea and below the name their phone number or website. I we can get the shirts donated, then the embroidery or silk screening donated, those companies would be sponsors. Now, as we already had a website up for the cruise in 2008, I have to get a hold of Deborah and see if there is a way we could also add this convention on for... -
ARCHIVED My 18month Old Daughter Is "pre-celiac"
Rusla replied to crstnol's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Being as young as your daughter is there is a very good chance it wouldn't show damage, yet. You and your husband could come back negative and still have Celiac. The elimination in itself shows that the chances of celiac or gluten intolerance (pretty well same thing without a lot of damage) are very good. There are tons of places wheat, barley, oats, rye... -

Maybe we can get them to donate it for the convention. That is for sure, metal can be hot or cold. PVC not so bad. -

My business is Pagan in nature, however; since my dx of Celiac,I added my handmade gluten-free lotions, soaps, deoderants, shampoos, lipsticks, animal shampoos etc., to it along with environmentally friendly cleaning products and fabric softeners. All which I make, I also design clothes. I have a fashion show in late 2007 that I am designing clothing for in... -

Whoops, I missed that April Part. Also, just as I said I would do for the cruise I will post bulletins in health food stores etc. We should have contacts in different states or east, west in the US and Canada. As for messenger things, I have ICQ and Yahoo will not and can't download it anyway onto my Mac butt we could all do Yahoo. -
ARCHIVED Idea - How About A gluten-free Convention
Rusla replied to Nantzie's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
First question is; when would this be planned for 2007? I will do exactly what I was doing for the cruise. I will donate a gift bag of gluten-free products from my business. By then if it is next year, I should have my makeup formulated so, each bag will have trial sizes of assorted things. This means of course that I will need official tallies of all men... -

ARCHIVED The Evil Vilain Gluten Strikes Again When You Least Expect It!
Rusla replied to Robix's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Gluten is rude, gluten stinks. Gluten is arrogant and self-absorbed. Gluten sets off to make our lives a living torture. Gluten is a terrorist and thinks it is better than everyone else. Gluten is a bully and makes us drive fast. So on our t-shirts above;" #5, with added attractions" we should have "Gluten made me do it." On the back, "Gluten Busters...
