  1. Yay Paula!!!! So happy you finally got it! How'd the dreaded DHL get a hold of it, lol?!

    You'll have fun playing!

I've decided when I'm off for my foot surgery, I'm going to play with stuff. Like this morning. I really love Gingerbread man, and thought it might look good as a bronzer or blush, but was too afraid to try it. I'll try it on a day when I don't have to go out, lol.

  2. Ha, I ordered my train case. A present to myself. :) Also a tooth whitener.

Today I tried to use the Pearl Beige as an eyeshadow...it looked pretty good but was just a hair too light so I put Gingerbread man over it, and I really, really liked that, lol.

I also switched the brushes I use...Normally I use the flat top for my silk dust layer, then use the long handled kabuki for my foundation. I switched them today...still not sure what I think about that. I'll get back to you. :P

  3. OMGosh...I had the strangest dream last night, lol. A little background...I have an appointment next week with Dr. R my GI. This is a followup to the enlarged ampulla thing from a couple of years ago. I don't know if he'll be willing, but I want him to do another endoscopy to check the growth. Okay, so my dream. I dreamt that while he was in there he found villi damage and I was officially diagnosed with Celiac, lol. I was so darned excited, you'd think I'd won the lottery, but then I was shocked and sort of bummed out. What the heck is that about, lol. Maybe deep down in my subconscious I am hoping the sensitivity is from lyme/metals/mold and will go away, lol.

  4. How did you find your LLMD. After I googled what LLMD meant (thanks for telling me, though), i did a search for my area. I am in Central/Northern NJ. I could go into NYC if I had to, but would rather stay local. Any recommendations for the search?

I live in the same area as Rachel, so I went to all her doctors. :P You can ask on LN too.

  6. What is an LLMD...

It's a lyme literate medical doctor. They are sort of "specialists" where lyme is concerned. A good LLMD will take all things into consideration when making a diagnosis...regardless of what the western blots say. They will test you for ALL KINDS of things, not just lyme, and if necessary make a differential diagnosis (ruling things out).

My IgG had enough bands to be considered positive by Igenix standards and my LLMD took that test together with the symptoms I was having, plus the results of a multitude of other testing he had done to arrive at a diagnosis. In my case I had around 45-47 of the 75 known lyme symptoms...not everyone has that many and not everyone has the same kind. The site that lists the 75 symptoms says that a if you have 20 of the 75 you should at least consider lyme as a possibility.

  7. This is bits and pieces of an explanation of the western blots:

Posting this, written by Dr C of Missouri for the benefit of everyone. This was written around 1999 or 2000. There is an updated version below.

Please note that "equivocal" is the same thing as "IND" or "indeterminate."

    -------------------------------------------------

Explaining Borreliosis (Lyme) Western Blot Tests

    ...

    31: Outer surface protein A (osp A). 34: Outer surface protein B (osp B).

41: Flagella or tail. This is how Borrelia burgdorferi moves around, by moving the flagella. Many bacteria have flagella. This is the most common borreliosis antibody.

In my clinical experience, if a patient has symptoms suspicious for borreliosis, and has one or more of the following bands, there is a very high probability the patient has borreliosis.

    These bands are 18, 22, 23-25, 28, 30, 31, 34, 37, 39, 41, 83, and 93.

This is true regardless of whether it is IgG or IgM.. But again, there is no universal agreement on the significance of these bands. Betina Wilska, M.D. from Germany is one of the world's experts on outer surface protein A (31 kDa).

At the international borreliosis conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, I asked her personally about the 30 kDa band. She told me it was the same as the 31 kDa band (osp A).

    and this from an update:

    The significant antibodies, in my opinion, are the 18, 23-25, 28, 30, 31, 34, 39, 58, 66 and 93.

This was taken from a thread on LN:

  8. Does anyone have both Samba Lessons and Starry Eyed? They look and sound so similar, I'm wondering if I even need or want both?

And do we get a brush with the mini eye shadow kits? It just doesnt mention it, that I can see anyway.

I have both. I really love Samba Lessons...it's a dark sparkly brown. Starry Eyed is more mauvy brown...it's also dark and sparkly. Had I not just gone to the site to check them out I was about to say they aren't even close, lol... IMHO you really need both!

Yeah, the new site has its moments!

  9. It was a man this time. I didn't even give him the chance to ask me what was in the container - - I came right out and said, "Some of my urine is in here". Now, I think the most prudent, and therefore proficient, of security workers would have asked me to open it.

    But he didn't. :rolleyes::rolleyes::lol:

I often don't know what's going on in here, but I always manage to drop in on a page with something like this!!!
