What I am affraid is going to happen, possibly, is Danny will be kept on for the shock factor to keep us talking, kind of like the "Sanjaya" of this season....which means someone truly talented will be kicked off like Michael Johns
Yeah, that thought crossed my mind as I watched the men the other night.

Woohoo!!! My new train case just came. It's really cute too. Now, too bad I won't have time to play with it tonight!
I have a hair appointment right after work, then I'll have about an hour at home, then off to choir rehearsal. BUT, I have tomorrow off work so that'll make up for it.

I mostly just wanted to welcome you to the site!
I don't eat bread or many other processed foods, so can't help you with that.
The effects of eating gluten and the aftermath can last a long time. Some people can have symptoms for many days afterwards. If you're referring to the damage caused to the villi in the intestines, that can take months or sometimes years to heal properly assuming you are completely gluten free.
I hope that helped.

I have an excuse for not posting yesterday. The baby has pneumonia and we were at the doctor's office all day.
Egads!!!! That doesn't sound fun at all! Hope baby feels better soon!
or a black eye effect...That would certainly be a conversation starter around here.

What do other people do? I've thought of foundation as a subtle eye shade, but haven't done it yet.
I haven't been too inventive yet. I have tried a couple of blush shades as eyeshadows, and I think one or two eyeshadows as blush.
I've mixed a couple of my least favorite blushes together with good results.
I've tried some of the darker eye colors as liner.
I like your idea of foundation as eye color. I have a couple that were a little too dark for my face, but I bet they'd look good as an eyecolor.
I have used the Summer Silk Dust as a bronzer.
That one was way too dark to put over my whole face.
Hum, I wonder what the blue eyeshadows mixed with morocco would look like...or maybe mojave. Maybe I can get a purple eyeshadow.

Well, okay, I AM going to talk to myself.
 !!!
I just placed another order.
I got the full sized personal kit and ordered THREE of my favorite foundations because I just can NOT decide which one is best.
I also ordered TWO flat top brushes and tinted silk dust.
I decided to NOT wait for another special because, well, the new website will probably be up by then and I'm sure there will be lots of other stuff I want THEN.
Also got another free kit, because I just haven't tried enough foundation colors yet.
Also wanted to try Text Message blush that everyone seems to like.
-
Yay, I don't have to talk to myself, lol!!!
HEY EVERYONE...THE LONG HANDLED KABUKI AND THE FLAT TOP BRUSH ARE BACK IN STOCK.
-
Holy cow folks...are we over our love fest?!
Not a single post yesterday!
Well, I'm excited because I SHOULD get my train case today, at least I hope so...it left the Fresno hub at 2 this morning, so it should be in the same city by now, lol.
AND, I tried Soft Touch blush again today...this is the one that was WAY too light for me, so light that it didn't even show up as color. It looks VERY good today. I'm wearing a lighter foundation shade (Beige Sandy Fair) and the blush shows up just perfectly. Honestly, the two times I tried it before it didn't show up AT ALL, just looked like someone hit me with flour on my cheeks. But today it's got a nice subtle rosy color.
Glad I'm not throwing anything away, lol. I'll keep trying the stuff I'm not wild about with different combinations.
I'm still having a hard time deciding which foundation I like best. I've got too many that look good and I'm also starting to get confused. Spreadsheets aren't helping much here.
The one I'm wearing today might be a good choice though.
Did anyone notice that they added Ivory to the foundation colors. It's in the buff (I think) category.
Haven't checked there today to see what, if anything, is different.

I thought overall almost everyone did better this week, with a couple of exceptions. I think Amanda did way better this week. But I also agree that there are only a couple of standouts.
I agree with Danny...I'm not fond of him, lol.
It will be interesting to see who goes this week. I think Kadi(sp?) will go for the girls, but not sure who else.

I have WellPoint (Anthem) health insurance and they do cover some of the compounded medications. You never mentioned what type of symptoms you are having?
Welcome greendog...by now you probably have realized that this thread is almost two years old.

I have lyme!!!!! Chronic lyme at that. And probably babs and possibly bart. They ordered a whole lot more testing (12 tubes of blood worth). Getting titres and RNA tests done for both babs and bart through Igenex. Also being tested for all kinds of funky virus stuff, other TBDs, HLA gene thingies, and I don't really remember all what there was.
Wow, I'm very excited for you!!!! Not that you have lyme, but that the appointment went so well and it looks like you'll finally be able to start the journey to feeling well again!
Does anybody know something about Vitamin D? I just got a note from my allergist about my levels just recently done. He says they should be 60-70, and a minimum of 50. My level is 16Marshall thinks the low level is a response to disease and to supplement is not good. But others say it is important to supplement. Has anyone's docs given some guidance on this issue?
No guidance really, but my levels were below optimal so I've been mega supplementing. I think they'll probably want to retest my levels soon to see if it helped.

Hey everyone, did you notice a new product on the brushes page...buds, lol. They look like those little foam "q-tip" applicators that come with some cosmetics.
My adventure today was BLUE eyeshadow, lol. I'm wearing Car Pool. Wore Mystic Night as a liner. The other new thing is Olive-Olive Golden Medium in Intensive. I think it might be a bit dark. It looked really good when I first put it on, but it looks a little dark to me now. I don't think it really turned color as much as the different lighting.
Stacie, too funny about your son!!
Colleen, your order is TOOO fun!!

Hey, Donna. I think the neurotransmitter support is really helping my sleep; if not that, then one of the other new things I am taking. It's been great the last few nights. Does that help you too?
Yes, I think they are definitely helping me! This week I've been a little restless at night, but overall they've helped a lot. I think the newest stuff my BioSET lady gave me for detox is what is making me restless at night, but I'm still sleeping better than I was.
1) i believe i heard rachel say that if you have lyme, it'll show up in bioset...it doesn't surprise me because it picked up the male issues and all...she thinks i don't have lyme, but i have no clue why she'd say that...but she's treated people with lyme and all ...it was only one session so obviously i haven't had any "panels" besides the main body ones...but it's just something that needs an answer, if i have it than okay, if i don't than great, but it's a possibility and blood work isn't accurate so...i just need to be SURE of anything obviously, because with so much going on...well you get the pictureLyme did NOT come up for me in BioSET. I was tested twice with the main lyme panels and it didn't come up for me. After ART found lyme, and my LLMD confirmed that with blood testing, the BioSET ladies did the complete detailed lyme panels and that's when it showed up. If your body hasn't become sensitized to the lyme, BioSET won't find it. In my case, I was sensitive to certain strains/vials/whatever they are.
2) why would lymph come up? i have no real clue on what it could possible be, or what lymph really relates toHum, not sure about this in BioSET. I've had it come up in ART. I'm not sure I can explain what lymph is, but it's a really important piece of bodily function. When you are sick your lymph nodes may get swollen.
Here's what Wikipedia has to say about it:
The lymphatic system is a complex network of lymphoid organs, lymph nodes, lymph ducts, lymphatic tissues, lymph capillaries and lymph vessels that produce and transport lymph fluid from tissues to the circulatory system. The lymphatic system is a major part of the immune system.
The lymphatic system has three interrelated functions: (1) removal of excess fluids from body tissues, (2) absorption of fatty acids and subsequent transport of fat, as chyle, to the circulatory system and, (3) production of immune cells such as lymphocytes (e.g. antibody producing plasma cells) and monocytes.
3) is it possible bioset could pick up parasites or metals? or little infections or inflammation, because it seems like it would with how sensitive it is, yet anybodies experience would be nice...to me it seemed like what people say ART is like, she seemed to have a lot of knowledge and it shows the effect and allI'm not sure about parasites but it will pick up metals if your body is sensitized to them. Infections, maybe. ART would for sure.
i'm so mad though because i've been having issues with my parents...it's bad enough my mom thinks bioset is crap because she just doesn't know, but i literally don't really have any money and it's $100 a visit and she doesn't take insurance...so i have no clue what i'm going to do, i had to cancel the appointment she wanted today because of all of this...i don't know how much longer i can take this bad luck and being against all odds here =\I'm so sorry about this! Yes, it's tough. I found BioSET to be every accurate in almost everything. The lyme was the only thing that wasn't found right away, and eventually that was found too. At least my BioSET charges have been covered by my insurance so far. I have to submit the claim myself to my insurance company, but they've been paying it.
BioSET will tell you what your body is sensitized to (did I say that correctly Rachel?, lol).
ART will tell you the biggest burdens on your body at the point in time you are tested--that can change from time to time (mine didn't though--in my case same burdens). It will pick up infections, parasites, metals, etc.

Wait for the special, wait for the special, wait for the special.
BUT DO order the sample kit so you have something to play with.
-
Oooh, Colleen will have new colors to play with!
Wish I had some new colors to play with.
-
As I suspected, all appointments for Dr. Amy were taken.
But they took my name and number just in case there is a cancellation. I'm tempted to take the whole darned week off just in case, lol.

got another compliment on my look, lol. Saturday my massage therapist and the receptionist (separately...they were not together, lol) mentioned my hair, and today someone mentioned my eyes...said they were natural and very soft. I'm wearing Good China, Ginger Peach and Gingerbread Man...so well blended that you can't see any difference in color, lol.
Oh, did I mention that I ordered my train case yesterday.
These are the two brushes I got Saturday (I think, the one is called "all over shadow" and it's very large and the other is called a "blending" brush):

Oooh, big week for lots of people. Nothing too big for me...I have an appointment Friday with one of the HN doctors--a followup for my neurotransmitter stuff, but I'm guessing not much will change since we aren't reviewing new labs or anything.
Carla, meant to say that I LOVE this avatar!!! Very glamorous!

I am setting up an appt. for a deep tissue massage. What do you feel like are the benefits you get from massages?
Well, I get a lot of benefit. Besides just making me feel really pampered and good, it helps loosen up my forever tight/sore muscles. A good therapist kind of hits the right muscles very quickly. The one I see now even massages my stomach if I want...I've never had any other therapists who even mentioned that, so I was kind of not sure about it at first, but it's great too. She said (and apparently she is right, lol) that it is good for the organs. I've been really lucky in finding really good therapists, and haven't really had a bad one yet. I try to see the same one each time unless they are sick or leave for some reason.
After a massage, I come home and soak in epsom salt/baking soda bath for 15-20 minutes.
It's really important to drink a lot of water to help move the toxins out.
Tomorrow's my appt at Dr H's office. Might take my laptop with me and post something tomorrow night, provided I can figure out how to get the darned thing to work.OMGosh...definitely get that laptop working, lol!!!!
I feel like my body is telling me it needs it!!!!Yep, I can always tell when it's time for my massages...and I get them every month, right on schedule. My body knows when it's time.

my youngest girl even asked me if it was halloween lol
Yes, mojave is VERY pigmented, lol. The blues are the only new eye colors I have left to try...there they were just staring at me on my counter, but I just couldn't do it, lol. I may try next Saturday. Saturdays are my experimental days, because I generally don't HAVE to go out of the house.
SO for today, but finishing dust over it, lol.

Once your fillings are removed then are going to do chelation? Or what other "plan" do people do when dealing with mercury? Thank you.
My last amalgam was taken out last year in February and I still haven't started chelation. My dentist suggested I wait for at least six months after removal, but I think that was because some people feel better just having them removed and maybe because sometimes removal can redistribute the load so to speak.
My doctor won't do chelation yet for me because my body is burdened with the mold situation. He is afraid that I would have a big set back. So we've basically been building up and supporting my body and it's ability to detox and handle chelation. And I'm taking homeopathic and supplemental support for helping with the mercury (and all the other stuff too). We're getting close to PERHAPS
doing a provoked challenge just to see what's there, but he wants me to see if my BioSET practitioner thinks my body can handle it...I don't know if they can test for that, but I'll know in a couple of weeks.
While I was in the process of having my amalgams removed, I took extra Vitamin C, chlorella and something called modified citrus pectin (plus a host of other nutritional things). The chlorella and pectin bind with the mercury. I have continued to take all of those for this last year.

New Sephora Brushes =
So until the EM eyebuki brush ever gets in, these will do nicely...so much easier to blend and my eyes looked so very nice today!
Autumn Afternoon all over the lid which was made MUCH nicer and easier with the big fluffy sephora brush, then Countryside at the lashline and up into the crease...Samba lessons as a liner.
Nothing new today except for a new shade of foundation. I think it matched pretty well...my face may have been darker than my neck, but I couldn't really tell, and I was wearing a turtleneck anyway, so it didn't matter. Otherwise the color was another great match: Beige-Medium Beige Neutral in matte.
Ughh i wish we had a makeup store here were i could buy brushes, anyone want to buy me some and mail them to me lmao. I will of course pay for it all lolWell, I can post the link to the sephora brushes tomorrow, lol
I don't have a problem with the regular eye colors falling on my cheeks, but seem my response below, lol.
For the eye shadow dust that falls under the eyes, I saw a makeup video that said to put a heavy line of powder under the eyes (just dab in on, don't blend)- finishing dust or foundation - and then do the eye shadow and then brush off the powder and buff.Yeah, I've heard this but haven't tried it yet. I use the fan brush to get the little flakes of eyeliner that used to fall on my cheeks, although I don't have as much problem with that as I did before. I'm putting my mascara on first, THEN my eyeliner...I think the mascara catches most of the flakes.
The fan brush does a good job with the ocassional one or two flakes that still make it past.

OH GRRR!!!
I can't believe it...I think it is NOT meant for me to see Dr. Amy.
I turned on my cell phone to see what time it was and it said I had a missed message. So I'm trying to listen, but I'm late for my massage appointment, so I gave up, but heard enough to know it was the scheduling person for Dr. Amy.
So, I get home and call back, but they're not in today...so I check when the message was left. WEDNESDAY!!! I'm sure all appointment times have been taken. I'll call on Monday just in case, but I'm pretty sure they're gone, because her last sentence was "call if you are still interested". If I were them and didn't hear back that day or the next I'd go to the next person on the list.
I'm not kidding when I say I NEVER use my cell, lol. Don't have the thing turned on most of the time...I don't even know how they got it, lol.
So, my massage was fun. I completely forgot I even had an appointment today, but they were able to squeeze me in. The therapist has been massaging my stomach...well this time she said "your organs are so much better this time" and she specifically said my liver was MUCH better.
I told her that Anna had given me some homeopathic drops for detoxing, and that must have taken some of the burden off! Yay!
I'm just hanging out here... too tired to post.Ditto! I've been reading along, but by the time I log on, all questions and subjects are usually covered pretty well already, lol!
-
After this, I should be able to order the full sizes. I think I will have my winter colors figured out about the time summer rolls in lol. Then I will get to start all over.
Yeah, I fixed that by just ordering everything now.
I wonder if my hubby would kill me lolNah, I'm thinking he's liking his cute sexy thing with the new makeup.
How does anybody get the eye shadows to show up with that thing?Exactly! Which is why I also bought two eyeshadow brushes at Sephora...big fluffy eyeshadow brushes. Oh, did I forget to mention the brushes I bought earlier.
Sheesh, one would think I had a DH to justify stuff too.

I just went over to the "vote for the worst" site just to see who they were promoting and it was Danny and Amanda. So those two will be getting lots of votes that they normall wouldn't. I'm a little surprised that they think Amanda is the worst though.
