  1. So the last few nights I have been taking Benadryl to help me sleep, but then Wed. night it stopped working. Last night my mom gave me a restoril to take because I can't stand not sleeping, and it did NOTHING! LOL! My mom can sleep FOREVER on it, but it literally did nothing...lol.

I think I need to talk to my LLMD about something for sleep. This is becoming crazy!

Yeah, it's really hard! Things like Benadryl work exactly the opposite on me...most people are knocked out by them, but they actually make me wired. Tylenol PM does the same thing, as do most over the counter sleep aids. I was hoping the AmbienCR would be different. I didn't feel like it wired me, it just really didn't help me sleep...it seemed like it helped me get back to sleep on the first night I took it, but not on the second night. I'm going to try regular Ambien next, then I'll ask for something different, lol.

  2. I need something new, I'm spending too much time looking for my make-up in my gradually shrinking make-up bag ^_^ ! Now's the time to get these things since there are so many sales going on!!

Yes, I agree! I spend too much time digging around in my shoebox which is full of powdered minerals...I have to wash my hands every time I take something out.

Donna--I like that one, too. I was actually planning to buy that one and then the one I bought came on brand new. My old house had a really long counter in the bathroom. This house, not so much :P I have it on top of a cabinet across the room from the sink. Not ideal, but .....

How did you do that link????? I can never seem to link from there. <_<

I have NO counter at all in my bathroom! There is about 2" of space around my sink, and then the toilet tank cover...that's it! :o I don't even have drawers in there, lol. I literally could not lay down on the floor if I had to and I'm only 5'3". :P So all my cosmetics, etc. are kept in a linen closet a few feet away from the bathroom. That's why I like the boxes with the handles so much I guess. :P

And, re the link. I found out about tinyurl.com on a nother website...the long links would cause the forum width to do crazy things, so they'd ask people to edit the links with the tinyurl. You basically copy the link you want, go to www.tinyurl.com and paste the link into the window and press the button...it takes a really long url (or in my cases above it was turning my link into LAME ADVERTISEMENT, lol) and makes it small, you then copy THAT small link and paste into your post.

  3. What do you guys thinK?

Also, I have convinced her to follow up with treatment by an ND to prevent cancer in a more natural way. She has a nodule on her adrenal and like I said - mouth full of fillings - old ones. She smokes too, and is trying to quit, so lots of cadmium and all that other crap in the cigs.

I'm so sorry about your friend! I really don't know what to say about it! The fillings and smoking are definitely not good. Even if they aren't causing direct problems they are probably affecting her body's ability to bounce back.

Yeah..I AM shy when I first meet people but I felt pretty comfortable talking to Donna! :)

I dont know how I might have been if she pressed her face against my window though! :lol

    ...

I think they know whos on the schedule and will greet by name when you have an appt. Its professional and makes for a friendly environment...but I doubt they really know everyones name.

    ...

Donna and I exchanged #'s and I figure when I get farther along and can actually go out to eat...maybe we can go have lunch. :)

I think I was actually the shyer one, but look out next time.

Um, I think they must know YOUR name though, lol. They definitely don't know mine, but I heard the nurses saying something about they thought you were there for whateveritwasIcan'tnowremember. :P:lol:

    Definitely lunch!!!

That's so neat about you and Donna meeting up. I'd like to meet you guys and many others on here......

I have no doubt that it will happen one day!

Thanks Rachel. I started having this about 2 weeks after I started Humaworm. So, I finally quit. After e-coffee and 2 detox baths, it finally went away. I am sure the toxins will build back up and it will happen again.

I also have this constant ringing in my ears - which bug the crap out of me!!!

I get ringing a lot in my ears. It's not constant for me though...that WOULD drive me crazy.

I think the Humaworm was causing me some problems too, although it was subtle enough that I didn't have to stop, but now that I'm off of it, I feel SOOO much better, lol. I'm sleeping better already, and definitely have a bit more energy.

He also works within the parameters of what the insurance companies will pay for, which doesn't thrill me.

This really worries me...this is the main reason most LLMDs don't contract or work with insurance companies, so they aren't confined by what the insurance companies say.

  4. OMGosh...I'm over the top, lol!!!! Hey, it's slow at work today and I ain't got nottin better to do. :P

So, I have a couple of plastic tool boxes (very small) at home, and started to think that maybe that might not be such a bad idea for cosmetic storage...I also have some craft boxes that would work for cosmetics too. When I'm out and about tomorrow I'm going to look for something like these...can't beat the price either, lol:

  5. The drugs completely knocked me out, I slept all day and night and now am dealing with the shakes, headache and lovely D.

    I hate narcotics, HATE.

Yeah, the same thing happens to me. I get nauseated too.

    Birdy,

I'm so sorry! Hoping things will turn around soon!

Ok...so I'm pretty much totally eating normal food now.

    Amazing!! Really amazing!

  6. And another picture with some actual makeup in it, lol.

The one thing I know I DON'T want is what I had before, lol. I had all my makeup in a larger plastic shoe box container. Everything flops around in there lose. If your minerals leak, as mine seemed to, then EVERYTHING is coated in the mineral dust, and since everything is loose, I can never find what I want...it shifts around, lol.

  7. How do you guys store/organize all this stuff? Digging through my make-up bag to find what I need is becoming time consuming in the morning :lol:

Okay, so I decided I needed a NEW storage system for my NEW makeup, lol. Last weekend I bought a cute little makeup box at Target. It is bright pink plastic, the top opens like a toolbox, and in side there is a little mirror on the lid and two swingout trays, then underneath a larger compartment for brushes, etc. They had two sizes (and also had a bright blue color), a smaller one and a larger one. I bought the smaller one, and instantly wished I had got the bigger one, lol. I have a lot of lip glosses which I have in the two swingout trays...I still have enough room for two or three of the little sample containers, but won't have room for full sized products. If I didn't have so many lip glosses it might work.

Anyway, now that I've seen how well I like this kind of storage, I'm either going to get the larger size, or look for something similar.

    I'm searching online now. :P

  8. Thanks for your input. My son showed no intolerance issues with casein when tested through enterolab. So, maybe he will be okay with goat's milk next year? We are having dtr tested through enterolab for gluten, casein, and soy to see what is going on there. It is just so hard with a 3 y.o, and a 1 y.o. to figure this all out. Especially, when your one-year old is in a state of transition with foods, textures, formula to milk, etc. It is so helpful to listen to other peoples experiences. So sorry to see your list of problems. Thank you for sharing your experiences.

I am so sorry for your situation too. It's hard enough for those of us who can communicate how we feel, I can't imagine how hard it must be to try to help a young child or baby! I agree that it sounds promising that someday your son will be able to have a bit of goat's milk!

  9. Oh Donna--you've got it bad :P

    Indeed!

    What are your ladies favorites???

Well you can add me to the list of people who love Apple, lol.

    So far:

Foundation: Fair Medium Semi-Matte--just got this one in yesterday's shipment and so far it's the best match I think...I've only had the make up on for about 75 minutes, but it's looking and feeling really good. This was my first sample of semi-matte...the others have been intensive and I think the semi-matte is better for me.

Blush: Apple and then Weekend Getaway (but those are the only two I've tried so far  )

Lip Gloss: I'm really liking the Cherry Fizz...my tube won't twist up, but I used a lip brush this morning and I really like it...very neutral and natural, but a hint of color which works well for my complexion.

Concealer: so far my favorite is just using a little bit of whatever foundation I'm wearing.

Brush: favorite so far, the long handled kabuki. Love it. I used my old "foundation" brush for foundation this morning mainly so I could compare coverage to what I've been doing. Once I've tried all the colors, I can experiment with the different brushes for foundation. But the kabuki, lol...I've been using the BE kabuki for blush, so I figured I'd try this...love it, lol.

I haven't tried any eyeshadows yet, but plan to tomorrow when I have more time in the morning. I may even play with the free eye colors they sent...for some reason I'm intrigued with the Tinsle color, lol. I hate green, but I really want to try that one for some reason. :P

Donna, LOL. I just did that a couple of days ago, I was trying to compare the foundations I had again, and mixing them etc. I had decided the one I was using was a bit too yellow and was not going as well with the colors I wear--which I know are better for me.

Yeah, yellow wouldn't be good for me at all! Two colors I rarely wear are green and yellow.

  10. he is making tacos, well taco crunch, i like mine with chips broken up and then all the good stuff on top lol

Yuuummmm!!!! I had my favorite dinner...steak and sauteed green beans.

Thanks! Spending tonight making copies of labwork, finishing up paperwork, and getting everything together. Hopefully, I won't be so overwhelmed tomorrow, I'll actually be able to absorb some of what he's saying.

I'm so excited to hear about the appointment. What time is it and are you on the east or west coast or somewhere in between?!

My question is, how do I approach her about this? I think she is pretty open, but she is in her 50's and I think at this point, she is really "done" exploring what could be causing her illnesses.

All hope is NOT lost, lol. I'm 52 and am definitely not done...there were points where I was close to being done, but all it took to snap me out of it was a doctor or two who would listen and really try to help me.

I just had to share that i slept all night last night, well from 11 to 5, til my husbnad went to work and then called me to open the door becuase he forgot his wallet, but it felt great to sleep that long. How did everyone else sleep.

I slept better too! For about three nights now. I still wake up a bunch, but I'm falling back asleep. I slept for 4 hours solid, then got up for the bathroom, took my charcoal and went back to bed. Slept again until after 2:30. Then woke up every 40 minutes or so until I finally got up at 4:25, but it actually FEELS like I slept, lol.

YAY! I slept four hours with my first half-Ambien, and four hours with my second. :)

    Yay...my dream, lol!

  11. What is chacoral for.

And can some one tell me how to quote from different people posts, i just know how to qiote from one post.

Charcoal is a binder...it binds with things in your system and then gets excreted. It will bind with good things too, so generally I hear it is best to take it away from other supplements and things.

To do multiple quotes, at the bottom of each post are two buttons "reply" and "+quote". If you are reading a post you want to quote, but want to do more than one at a time, hit the -quote button. Nothing happens, except that that button turns red. When you've finished reading and now want to reply, hit the MAIN reply button at the very bottom of the thread. A new window should open up with all the quoted posts. I delete out what I don't want to reply to usually, but you don't have to...just make sure you leave the quote tags.

I'm sorry I'm not making that easier to understand, but I'm hungry and dinner is calling, lol.

  12. Off that list, the only one I'm taking is ALA. I have to be very careful with it though. I was taking one that I got from my LLMD, then bought a different brand when I ran out. The mg in the capsules was double what I had been taking, and I didn't realize it. That caused a few neuro symptoms for me, lol. Once I cut the dosage down, the issues went away.

My LLMD has recommended a few things that from his experience have worked well. My ART practitioner has also recommended a few and my BioSET pratitioner a few more. My LLMD knows both of these practitioners and is okay with all that they have recommended.

  13. I can only wear hoop type earrings or wires .... the thinner metal that allows air circulation. I can wear no posts at all. I don't have a heavy metal problem ... I did just treat lead ... I treated mercury and had amalgams removed back in 1991.

I can't wear any at all, not hoops, wires nor posts. Really frosts me too...I have four holes in each ear and TONS of earrings, and can't wear them anymore, lol.

He's an LLMD. Works out of a tick-borne disease clinic. And it wasn't just the folks on LN that were saying these things about him. That's what got me wondering in the first place.

I'd go...I think your plan is a good one. It's great to have someone that's seen him tell you their experiences, but on the other hand, he may have a totally different approach with you than he did with the others. Rachel and I see the same LLMD and he is doing different things for both of us because our situations are different enough. We have the same issues, but not the same bodies if that makes any sense.

Can anyone recommend a brand of charcoal?

I'm taking Solaray, but have only just started taking it within the last week or so, so not sure if I can really attest to how good it is, lol.

  14. No need to hunt, they delivered it just a few minutes after I posted, lol.

I think I LOVE the kabuki brush. The kabuki brush I have been using is BE, and it's a short little stubby handle but a gianormous brush head. This has a little bit smaller brush head and a longer handle (but not too long). It's really soft! Ummm.

The Cozy Night Lip Gloss is a nice color...I don't have it on my lips yet, lol, but I'm looking at it on the back of my hand. It is a darker red (almost brown) color. It doesn't look orange on my hand. Hum, maybe I should take off the Spring Pink and put this one on, lol. The spring pink looks almost a little to light for me, but I often layer several lip glosses, so that's not a problem. :P

My Cherry Fizz Lip Gloss doesn't work. It won't twist up. I'll use it with a lip brush, but I can't try that on now, lol.

My gifts were the eve brush...think I'll like that one as well. Also Mistletoe and Tinsletown eyeshadows...both of which I love in the container...hope they look good on, expecially since the Tinseltown is a free gift in the stuff I ordered today. I would never have ordered the green eyeshadow, but it may actually look pretty good.

  15. well remoldiling was appropriate!

I also thought of one more thing, years ago i got my ears pierced and it did damage to my ears, and i can not wear anything that is not gold. Could this be a sign of metal toxicity?

I think it's metals for me. I have four pierces in each ear. I used to be able to wear any type of earrings, even cheapo metals. Then I got sensitive to the cheap stuff but could still wear silver and gold. Then I got sensitive to the silver. Next was gold. I can't wear any at all anymore. :(
