  1. Just got home from Boston. The Elephant Walk was great! The PF Changs in the Theater District was also great. The Legal Seafoods in the Theater District was terrible!!!!!!!
  2. The menu says that they can do a baked lobster with gluten free croutons, but they used the regular Ritz crackers instead. I even talked to the manager about it. There was confusion in the kitchen because for *some* reason they thought that I was dairy free too, and told the server that they couldn't do the baked lobster b/c the ritz crackers had butter in...
  3. I accidently bought the Not gluten free cookies because they are in a clear plastic tub just lik the gluten free ones. The ones with gluten have a red label, the gluten free ones have a yellow label. Same packaging though. (I am talking about the Wild Oats Brand Natural Mini Cookies). Just wanted to let you guys know...
  4. I love their chicken marsala with mashed potatoes! Yum! And that John-something dessert with the nuts!!!
  5. I have used those things in the past and believe them to be gluten free. You should ask your consultant to "Log on to inTouch, go to the search bar, type 'Ingredients', go to the first hit, which is the Consumers Guide to Ingredients Online, search by Ingredient, search for 1)Wheat, 2)Barley, 3)Rye, 4) Oats, write down the products that come up after each...
  6. I just ate at the Maggianos in south Denver and it was GREAT! The chef came out and went over the menu with me since they don't have an actual printed gluten free menu. We had to wait long er b/c of the special order, but it was REALLY good!!!
  7. They had them for breakfast one morning at the Gluten Free Summit and I thought they were "real" grits! Really good! I dont know where to tell you to buy them though....
  8. I take GNC prenatals. They are 5000 iu of Vit A per serving from beta-carotene. One serving is two tablets, so that is 2500 each. They are gluten free, as well as soy, corn, whey, and other stuff free. Tiffany
  9. I have been charting and all of my signs look like I could really be pregnant and I have read that the first 3 weeks are the most important for things like no alcohol and taking vitamins. I think I am only about a week along. Any tips?? Thanks ya'll, and here's crossing my fingers that I am pregnant, and not being crazy over here......
  10. I think I might be pregnant (Very Early, shhhh, don't tell anyone....) and I went to FertilityFriend.com to chart my cycles and temp and everything and that was a huge help for us. (They have a free version of their chart, so don't waste money on the "membership") I can't answer your questions because I don't live near Long Island, and I haven't looked for...
  11. I am going to Boston for a weekend trip with my best frinend in 2 weeks, and I am so glad I found this thread! We were planning on sticking to PF Changs and Legal Seafood for dinners, but I am interested in more "local" places. Do you guys know if those places are close to the Double Tree hotel? I have heard that most everything is in walking distance......
  12. You're Welcome! I didn't realize that it was a "secret" until 9/1! They were just giving them away! Maybe to drum-up conversations like that? Good work Bob's!!
  13. Hi! I am going to go with no here, b/c if it is something that does not have soy sauce in the cooking phase, then it is breaded, or searved with noodles. I have been to one place (besided PF Changs) that did gluten-free, and they didn't do a very good job. They got confused a lot, and made a lot of mistakes. And this wasn't just one visit, this was a place...
  14. I know it isn't on their gluten-free Product list, but it is on their "News" page on their website. I am looking at a package right infront of me They do exist! The Barcode number is 0 (end number) 399780375 (end number) 1 if you need it to look up the bag info or to request it at your local store. I got several bags for free at the Gluten Free Summit...
  15. BTW- I noticed they aren't on the list too, so I don't know what's up with that?!?! Maybe just an oversight....
  16. They ARE Bob's Red Mill. They just came out with it and introduced it at the Gluten Free Summit. Here is a link to their News page where they tell about it. They are Gluten Free Whole Grain Rolled Oats. Brand New Enjoy! Open Original Shared Link
  17. Mikes is NOT gluten free. It has Barley Malt, and if I didn't think that made it unsafe, then I would just ask my stomach the last time I had one. 1/2 way through it I was running to the bathroom. I didn't even KNOW it was a Malt beverage. So for me, not safe. But I see that there is debate out there....
  18. I have not heard of those, but I do know that Bob's Red Mill has gluten-free oats. They were giving them out at the Gluten Free Summit. They are in a pretty big bag.
  19. I would suggest GNC. They are in almost every mall! They are pretty cheap, and are gluten-free (and other stuff like corn and soy, but I don't pay attention to all of that b/c I am just gluten free). Also, even if you are not "diagnosed" with the lack of IF, then you can still take sublingual B12 for the health benefits. Like someone else said above...
  20. I know you feel like you are being a pain, but it would be eaiser on you if you just go to places with gluten free menus. That way you can have *some* assurance that they have researched the ingredients. Cross-contact is always a concern, but when you know the dressing is gluten free, then you ask for FRESH dressing, from the WALK-IN COOLER and then you are...
  21. Thanks Scott. I didn't know about those until they were pointed out to me when I put my personal website in my signature area. Simple mistake! But everyone was nice about it. That's why I like it here. I have been on other boards where they just ban you, no questions asked. It is like walking on eggshells! Side note, I noticed that Scott/Admin was Member...
  22. Steve- By oral, do you mean sublingual?? I have pernicious anemia, and after years of bruises with the injections, I now take sublingual B12. It is not huge amounts. I take one tablet a day. My B12 is normal now (with the daily B12). I do not consider a daily sublingual to be a huge amount. I use GNC. They are sugar free, gluten free, and lots of other...
  23. She made her carrot cake at the Gluten Free Summit and it was FANTASTIC!!!!
  24. Yeah, but I still say ask for the list of ingredients. There is a salsa at Chipotle, just ONE, that has gluten in it (the spicest of them all I think...which I don't eat anyway) that has gluten in it. So I always ask.... I question anything fried, anything. And grilled foods can be brushed with "grill baste" that can contain gluten. Texas Roadhouse (I...
