  1. I see. Then it seems we may be just slightly closer to a truly definitive answer. Thanks for your input though. At least you can say you called vaccine manufacturers. We just may never know what they aren't divulging, particularly regarding the adjuvants. Incidentally, I've read that when rodents are used for testing allergic reactions to peanuts, they...
  2. Known to whom? I've searched and searched, including the CDC's website, and the sites of some vaccine manufacturers, but little or no information is provided about the adjuvants other than what they're supposed to do. From what I did find, it seems many are proprietary, protected by patents, and thus their formulation is not disclosed. And then there's...
  3. Both articles are fairly current, being dated 2010 & 2011. Maybe old in rodent or insect terms, but not old in human terms. According to what I've read, the general makeup of vaccines hasn't changed much in many, many years. They've been using aluminum, formaldehyde, and various other stuff including peanut oil for several decades. Each article provides...
  4. According to what I've read, peanut oil is currently being used in vaccines, along with other things of some concern. And, the issue brought up about proteins going straight into the bloodstream shouldn't be overlooked. Here's another article, in which they talk about non-disclosed peanut oil in vaccines for children, as well as insect cells as an alternative...
  5. Hi everyone. I ran across this article, which I think everybody should read. Open Original Shared Link
  6. Biscuits were actually the first gluten-free baking quest I embarked on. Although I prefer a much different type than the soft, fluffy, "southern" type. Anyway, for the softest texture, I've found that legume flours are the best. You don't need dairy or eggs to get a soft texture this way. However, xanthan gum will not work anywhere near as well as guar...
  7. Hasn't happened to me. Wish I could borrow some of those extra pounds, LOL. Ain't been able to get up to a normal healthy weight. The only thing I can think of is bone density. I agree that 165 pounds is too much for your height and frame, unless you're a body builder or doing a lot of strength training or some such. Perhaps your body is finally able...
  8. Sounds similar to the "Glutenzyme" and other such products now available. Perhaps it takes it further, but IMHO it is still too much risk. The article mentioned inflammation, but failed to say anything about intestinal damage. Likening Celiac Disease to lactose intolerance seems more than a bit of downplay, to me. I won't be trying any such pill. Not worth...
  9. Since I buy it regularly, I looked through some past receipts. Early in 2011, the price (from where I usually get it) was $1.75 for 8oz. Now it is $8.00 for the same 8oz. I now get it from elsewhere, at a cost of $6.71 for 16oz, but I'm not sure the quality is quite as good.
  10. So sorry that you're having to deal with such a rotten doctor. If it were me, I'd have walked out, and reported him too. But then I learned during childhood that doctors didn't have a clue, thus haven't been to any since. It continually irritates and surprises me that people still believe in "mainstream" doctors. There is that saying; 'Fool me once, shame...
  11. I recently became aware of the fact that guar gum is being used for hydraulic fracturing, commonly referred to as fracking. This is apparently the reason why guar gum prices have gone up so much. Fortunately, the fracking industry is looking for alternatives, which I really hope they find soon. Would be funny if they ended up using gluten Here are some...
  12. I second the nutritional supplements. Besides the B vitamins, I'd suggest magnesium, and a separate methylcobalamin B12 sublingual tablet. These have made a world of difference for me. I've heard good things about CoQ10, and its importance in energy production, so I'm thinking of trying that too.
  13. Some of the seeds which typically function like grains in food include amaranth, buckwheat, and quinoa. I agree that buckwheat is almost always contaminated. I've reacted to just about every brand of buckwheat flour and whole groats I've tried with the exception of one. The only truly safe buckwheat flour I know of is from a company that grows, mills, and...
  14. This may or may not help you, but from my own reactions to various foods, I've discovered that some foods which contain a type of starch called Resistive Starch can cause some of the same symptoms that gluten does. This is not likely to be the same for everyone however. Resistive starch tends to take longer to digest than other types of starch, thus acting...
  15. All probiotics are not created equal. It is entirely possible that there is an ingredient in the one you tried which bothered you, and that another product would be fine. Just make certain of the ingredients. There are so many to choose from. Many do contain dairy. I've found digestive enzymes helpful for the balloon belly, although it hasn't solved it...
  16. You're likely still healing, so give it time. Although it cannot hurt to take some key supplements, such as a co-enzyme B-complex, magnesium, zinc, vitamin D3, and probably a few others I'm not thinking of at the moment. Of course, getting optimal nutrition is very important too, so eating well can make a big difference. It may also be a good idea for...
  17. There's quite a number of gluten-free recipes on this site. Here's a link directly to the recipe section: https://www.celiac.com/categories/Gluten%252dFree-Recipes/
  18. Personally, it would never be safe for me to share a place with someone who works in a bakery. My sensitivity to gluten is much too high for that. You may be less sensitive, or you may simply experience less noticeable reactions. So I guess it may be a judgment call - how dangerously do you like to live? Your friend would probably need to change clothes...
  19. No need to be depressed! Seriously, there are plenty of foods to eat and enjoy. You can make your own non-dairy milks too, which can save a lot of money. Homemade non-dairy yogurt is also relatively easy to make. How careful you need to be with CC depends on your sensitivity. But also, if you are allergic to something in wheat which is also present in...
  20. So glad that you've gotten a positive response already. The best Men's multi I've found is the one I mentioned. You can check the details for it on the manufacturer's website: Open Original Shared Link They also make similar products in tablet and softgel form, also under the same name, ADAM.
  21. I mentioned it because when my health was at its lowest point (which was after going gluten-free), I never yawned, even though I was always exhausted. Agreed. And BTW, I also had a lot of pain from TMJ, which is now gone thanks to Glucosamine HCL. The one I take also has MSM in it, though I don't know how much that may have helped.
  22. Well, according to the company's website, the Nature's Way Alive! multi has wheat grass listed twice. Although I've read that the grass itself is gluten-free, I'd say contamination is practically guaranteed. The label doesn't claim it's gluten-free either. Anyway, the amount of magnesium is quite small, so I'd recommend a separate magnesium supplement. Some...

I see. However, not only would it be easier and quicker, but also more widely accessible and less costly, to simply create a version of the site which is optimized for mobile devices. But it's still an additional cost, so I'm guessing it won't happen unless it makes dollars and cents to do so.

Wouldn't any mobile device with web browsing capability be able to navigate the forums?
  25. What kind of vitamin B12 are you taking? What vitamins are you taking, and what are the dosages? How are your fingernails? The condition of the nails often helps to identify possible nutritional deficiencies. The skin around the nails can also be a good indicator. Do your eyes adjust to different lighting easily, or does it take more time than for most...
