I finally tried out Chilis after hearing all about their gluten free menu. Well the hostesses knew nothing about it. They had never heard of such a thing. They were really young. I told them to ask their manager. We got seated and our waiter came to the table to take our drink orders. I told him again about the gluten free menu, he also knew nothing...

Wow, seems like so much is going on since I last read here. I am just here long enough to read a few and check in with everyone. We are headed to the neurologist in PA tomorrow for my sons first visit with one since he was discharged from his stay in the hospital. They are checking him for seizures and such. I am a bit nervous about it. I just have... -

ARCHIVED What's For Dinner Tonight?
TinkerbellSwt replied to ilmotherof2's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Tonight is my simple dinner. Chicken Caesar Salads. We use a head of romaine, chicken that is just seasoned with salt and pepper and then grilled. We use Newmans Own dressing. I am sure that there is a way to make your own dressing, but I have no recipe. Like I said, a simple easy meal with very little cooking -

TinkerbellSwt replied to a topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
There are mixes????? I only know of the loaf bread already made that you have to freeze right away. My son loves loves loves it as grilled cheese. He is only 15 months old and has become a finicky eater. I cant afford to keep up on the price of a made loaf. OMG! I just checked the web page. Which bread mix is like their White Sandwich Bread? -
ARCHIVED Could Pregnancy Have "triggered" Celiac?
TinkerbellSwt replied to maddycat's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
My celiacs was definatly brought out by my difficult pregnancy. The docs actually told me that if I had known of my cleliacs before I got pregnant I could have reduced all the problems we had. My son had literally almost killed me. The symptoms were water on the brain, around my heart and lungs. They took him from me at 28 1/2 weeks. We went up and down... -

ARCHIVED Hormel Real Bacon Bits
TinkerbellSwt replied to TinkerbellSwt's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Ugh, I have no idea what glutened me. This Sunday I cooked all my food at my moms inside on the stove, pan cooked hamburgers and my chicken was baked in the oven. I didnt get sick. So maybe it just was the grill? Even though mom cleaned it with Easy Off.. maybe there was still something on it. Thanks for all the replies on the bacon bits! -

I am now the heaviest I have ever been. I never ever thought I could weigh as much as I do now. I get some exercise with my son around.. walking a bit...

Rachel that picture of you is absolutely beautiful! As to going to the Bristol race.. lucky you!! Our home in Florida is about 3 miles outside Disney. It sleeps 10 comfortably and it is way cheaper than any of the hotels in the area. It has a full kitchen area so you dont have to eat out every night. That alone saves a lot of money. If you... -
