ARCHIVED Found A New Food
TinkerbellSwt posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I dont know if this is new to anyone else.. but it is new to me. I have been craving since the start of this diet, regular ole breaded fish sticks! I love them! I have now found a brand that is gluten free it says it right on the back of the package. For you more sensitive people, it does clearly state that it is made in a facility that produce wheat... -
ARCHIVED Potatoe Starch Flour?
TinkerbellSwt replied to kalanfan's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I get mine rather cheaply in the Kosher section of my regular supermarket. I hope you find it! -
Thank you everyone. Today I still feel yucky, very tired out, and just blah. But I am doing better than yesterday. The marinade my mom used was sesame oil and soy sauce (la choy) The only other thing we can think of is that my mom cleaned the grates on the grill with Easy Off oven cleaner. Would this do it? And I did eat corn on the cob too. It finally...

Actually I dont have a copy of the Delphi list.. I would appreciate any help

Yes I am pretty sure it was gluten. All the signs are here. And I still feel absolutely awful. The meat was marinated in soy sauce. It was La Choy, which is gluten free. My question is, Hormel Bacon Bits? Are they gluten free? And another question... is the cooking spray Pam gluten free? My boyfriend wants to know that. We currently use Mazola...

Today I went to my mothers house as we do every Sunday during the summer. We had our usual cookout. Todays menu consisited of london broil (marinated), broccoli salad (I made that), fresh corn on the cob and thats it. Earlier I had carrots with veggie dip that i eat all the time, and pistachios. That being said, it wasnt a half hour after dinner,...

I also have this same problem. Mine is from C, just as much D. I use the prep-h when it gets bad. That helps me alot. I also use the Cottonelle moist wipes, which help too. The bath with no products in it too, helps. I hope you feel better soon! -

ARCHIVED Questions About Bacon, And Need A Recipe Or Two
TinkerbellSwt replied to Will Roper's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I use Oscar Mayer bacon, Hormel bacon, Plumrose bacon, pretty much anyone that is on sale. Of course I read the labels to make sure that there is no gluten of any type. I hope this helps. As for sausage links... I think Jones clearly has gluten in it. But Swift doesnt. Or maybe its the other way around. I dont want to confuse you anymore than necessary... -
ARCHIVED Trying To Dine Out Gluten Free
TinkerbellSwt replied to RebeccaMSL's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I am not sure why.. I know there are more knowledgable people here to answer the question about symptoms being worse after being gluten free for a bit. I know from my own experiences too, the longer I have been gluten free, the worse my symptoms are when I do get glutened. I know a lot of people here have that same reaction. I am sure someone else... -
Hello there Kate! Welcome!

I am so sorry you had this awful experience. I know I had a tough time in the hospital. I couldnt even have the broth they served, due to the fact it wasnt gluten free. So my meals consisted of, adult baby food, hot tea, and water. I had my mom bring me in stuff too. It was awful and the staff wasnt very helpful to me either

ARCHIVED I Am Just Bummed . . . .
TinkerbellSwt replied to tiredofdoctors's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Ok, sorry I dont know you well, but I wish you only the best. I also cried while reading Karens post. The most important thing is that you are there, but I find you to be a very strong woman to say that you will get down that aisle! I hope your daughters wedding is beautiful and you enjoy it most of all! Good luck and I hope you feel better soon... -
I am so sorry that you feel so bad. I often wondered the same about my doctor when they said for me to go off gluten for a challenge. I refused to do it. I knew how sick I was before and I cant be like that again. After what you are going through, it scares me even more to eat gluten. I hope that you feel better soon!

ARCHIVED Is There Such A Thing?
TinkerbellSwt replied to mrsnj91's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
We have no diagnosis or suspicion of Colin having celiac yet, but we are keeping him gluten free anyway. I know Whole Foods carries Earths Best and another brand (cant remember the name) of baby food. Colin is just reaching the point of the third foods.. he doesnt really like them. We are giving him the pre canned veggies by Del Monte and such. I know...
