    I know I never give food baskets or any thing like that...When I was young my dad used to always get fruit baskets from people at work, and I remember how sick we were of fruit by the time we had the basket just a few days. Some of it would even go to waste.

    I got that phone call too, I bought that meat for tacos....and I had already used it with no ill effects but that phone call really made me respect them more, they took the time to run the shoppers club cards and try to track down that meat hopefully before it got used.

    I am so upset tonight. The weather has canceled all my plans for my big weekend with my mom. Due to an ice storm here and a huge snowfall where she is and then another incoming storm this weekend her birthday suprise isn't going to happen. I was looking forward to this for a few weeks now...

    We do secret santa in my office. We each put 3 wishes on a piece of paper and pick names. No one gives cookies or things where I am. One coworker makes homemade Christmas bark but that is it.

    I am not sure about the body glitter. Great news though that she had a good time at the party and was able to stay away from the gluten without any problems. It does seem like she understands and that is a help.

    I also share some things with my DH since he is not gluten free and has the worst sweet tooth.

    This weather is starting to worry me. I am supposed to be going to get my mom to spend the weekend with us, now this winter weather tomorrow and again calling for it this weekend might cancel my plans...so disappointing...

    Nope, one day as my coworker and I were walking up the sidewalk back to the hospital, a very strong gust of wind came and blew mu skirt right up to my chest. Of course, people were all over and I was facing the hospital so everyone saw me....

    The weather is strange anymore....when I was little it would get cold by the end of October and stay snowy and ugly until April....now it is still fairly warm until Jan. The last few New Years I remember wearing a light sweater.

    I would do the same as Mango. I would accept the gift, show my thanks, and maybe share it with my work buddies. I would never expect people to try to remember the whole gluten-free thing around the holidays. I know it's hard though, especially if you are getting a lot of gifts this way. We rarely ever get gift baskets and when we do, they are fruit baskets...

    Lot's of people especially in Western PA call it pop, I heard it alot when I moved to Central PA too, in Northeastern PA where I am from I do not hear it much at all.

    I love the commerical where the guy is driving and he and some animals are singing Rock me Gently. It always cracks me up
