  1. Would you be able to bring your own supply of food? You should talk to someone in charge of the trip and explain your situation. They should be willing to work with you. How long is your trip?
  2. I have gotten cinnamon buns through The Grainless Baker, which you might be able to find if you live in PA-NJ-NY area. They are sold through healthfood stores. Their products are wonderful. If not and you enjoy cooking..... I am sure one of our other members might have a homemade recipe that they use. I am not much help in that area.
  3. I agree, it sounds like you have a wonderful support system at home. Going gluten free might give you that extra energy needed to run and chase that baby when she gets a little older.
  4. Hi Judy How's your knee? I read an earlier post on how you fell. Hope everything is well.
  5. Bob Evans? I have been there with no problems too, I just don't like their hasbrowns...I am very picky when it comes to breakfast. What places do you have near?
  6. I eat a lot less than I did before celiac. I am not as hungry half as much as I used to be. I never had facial burning but I did have other bothersome symptoms that have gone away. I did gain some weigh on the diet, which I am going to try to get rid of after the holidays. Congrats on feeling better, it is a great milestone!
  7. I pretty much was going to say all the things Deb said, only she really said it well. The sooner you go gluten free you will be able to rid your body a some bad things that are happening. Some of the problems you are dealing with are reversible.
  8. Happy Happy Birthday Susie Hope this one is a dusie! Hope you get a great gluten-free cake That you don't have to make I am awful poetic this morning!
  9. I go to Perkins and never had a problem. Other than that I haven't gone anywhere else.
  10. Happy Birthday Susie!!!!! May your day be filled with lots of fun
  11. Some of their holiday teas contain barley. John has a box of that he wanted to try. It turned out it tasted nasty...which I told him it would. So not all of their teas are ok.
  12. I just wanted to tell you I am keeping your baby girls in my thoughts
  13. I myself did not have gluten withdrawl either. I missed the convience of fast food and already made products from the grocery store.
  14. I take a shower to wash my hair and that. It is too cold here in the mornings to be taking a shower and then leaving for work. The shower was being hurried because we were getting ready to watch a movie that night and I didn't realize how late it had gotten. I don't do showers and baths every night, it was just one of those nasty stormy days and...
  15. Ok so I am sitting here with my foot up....seems it is a bit sore from a little spill I took 2 nights ago. So sore today that walking is a chore....we were supposed to be getting a Christmas tree today and decorating... So here is the background on the spill. The other night I had been in my bathtub reading and I got out and let the water out and left...
  16. People who are mean to animals bug me.
  17. I don't think I would use it. I don't have DH, but when I used oatmeal lotions and soaps I always got a rash/itchy skin from it.
  18. well this is the first year that we are having winter weather this early. Our weather has been changing the last few years, milder winters, very little snow. This year it seems like we are going to a winter.
  19. I also vote for the Glutino Ritz type crackers. I also like the Glutano crackers. I use those too.
  20. So after we came back from shopping, we spent the rest of the day decorating our office for Christmas, making snowflakes out of tin paper and hanging things. Making a Christmas mural....what a wonderful Friday. The snow falling outside really got us into the spirit. But we did have an excuse. Our network computers got knocked offline today, hospital wide...
  21. We waited until our boss left for DC, not that she would have cared anyway. We left at 11:30, just came back at 1:30....we are so bad! The snow is falling down, hopefully when we are leaving the roads won't be too bad.
  22. Tar-jey is a bit of a hike from work, we went to the Hershey Outlets. SpringMaid is going out of business. I got a full sized comforter for $13 bucks....Martha Stewart brand at that
  23. My coworkers and I snuck out shopping for 2 hrs today in the snow.....I bought some stuff too!
  24. I am not sure the FDA will help much, from what I have read, they are going to make the gluten free labeling more difficult. I feel for those just learning the labels, if it is rough now... We have this great gluten free store near us (40 mins away) I used to go a lot but with gas prices sky-rocketing, I have had to cut back trips, and sometimes I mail...
  25. I shop at a grocery store who labels all their house brands gluten free, and you can always call and get answers to questions. They are very knowledgable and willing to help. Does it profit it them? Their products are being purchased, but since they are under a generic name they are not as expensive as some things. I trust them and have never had a problem...
