  1. I am sorry to hear the school is not working with you. I second the idea on keeping snacks in the classroom, maybe a box of Kinninick K-toos (just like oreos), animal crackers, the Arrowroot bad is pretty decent, and some Glutino Pretzels which taste and look like the real thing. For his lunch you can pack sandwiches just like the rest of the kids have...
  2. I think we are almost as excited as her!!!!!
  3. I am reluctant to blame the summer weather or daylight savings time since this was when my problems started. I think it messed with my bodys schedule LOL
  4. Thanks Carla. I am going to look into that.
  5. I work everyday, John and I both work at HMC, so we drive together which does save some money in gas, we work until 4:30 everyday. I really want to go to Cheeseburger in paradise. Everyone is always talking about that place. We should all do a dinner thing. It would be nice and it would be a comfortable enviroment since we are all gluten free. We should...
  6. I know in quite a few threads we have, that there are quite a few of us who have sleep changes since going gluten free. I actually have been gluten free for quite a few years now, but I noticed I was having trouble getting to sleep in the spring of this year. It seems like I can feel tired but the minute I go into the room I am wide awake. I have been taking...
  7. Anytime. It took me a few minutes to explain in a way not to confuse. Sometimes it sounds right in my head but is confusing to everyone around me
  8. Maybe next time this year I will be able to join you guys as a mom. We can't wait to start all family.
  9. Good for you Cheri, I bet that was one of the best choices you ever made. Do you have a little less stress now?
  10. Spamming is when someone comes on to a forum and posts several messages in a row about nothing. An example the other morning we had a person come on and leave 2-3 posts and the topic names were Free NY Giants Hat. When you clicked on the topic you had a little sentence and a website link. A good way to spot a spammer/spam topic is when you see the post...
  11. I do not think those are gluten free, I personally would not go near them or use them.
  12. We should all meet up one day and have a gluten free picnic or lunch. It would be so much fun.
  13. That's neat, one of my coworkers just made the real version (non gluten free) just a few months ago, the bag was laid out on a filing cabinet here.
  14. I am actually holding down my job now, better than I did when I was still figuring out what was causing me to be so sick. Things are good now since I am in an office setting so if you miss a day a work it is not as big of a deal, when I worked at my previous job, they needed someone to be there when there was a call off. Hopefully all will go well for you...
  15. Good Luck Stef!!!! your son can be the sunshine on this very rainy day!!!!
  16. I have found mine at the regular grocery store, and at the gluten free store.
  17. My coworkers loved these too!
  18. I don't have children but I do eat these crackers quite frequently with no problems. The different flavors are good, I especially like the cheddar.
  19. I found I had a much worse time prediagnosis at work than after. Once I got onto the diet the GI problems I was having which was what was the problem at my job more or less cleared up. This was a help. The rest of the problems eventually worked out and I was fine. I found what helped me was getting my body on a routine. At the time I was working 2nd shift...
  20. My coworkers nephew was born there last week.
  21. Thats the thing, sometimes there is no way to tell. Quite possibly you could have the stomach flu...where we are it's going around.
  22. It's a place on the hospitals website where you can go and see the baby's pictures who were born. It doesn't give last names or sometimes not even anything more than the mothers first name. It gives weight, height, and birth time. They are becoming popular. Here is the one at the hospital I work at. Open Original Shared Link You would find the...
  23. you got me craving now...Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts!!!!
  24. I would go with a drink and a salad, and bring your own dressing. This way you can join in and feel like everyone else. It seems like you are an outsider at first but pretty soon you will be looking forward to outings again. If possible maybe you can also talk to the staff at the restaruant and see if there is anything safe to eat as well. Have fun!!!
  25. LOL-- love the new kitty pics on your avatar. Did you bring them home yet?
