  1. My family was coming today I so I really cleaned up the house last night, maybe I tired myself out. I am hoping the dreary weather outside will make me continue to be sleepy tonight.
  2. Here's postitive news. Last night I fell asleep on my own at 11:15, and slept the entire night through. I was off from work today though, but still this is a nice change.
  3. I had a salad there last year, for our christmas party...I didnt care much for it. Haven't been back there since. I agree best thing to do is to call and see what if anything they can offer you safely.
  4. We are good any time after 4:30. Gosh my family came to visit today and I was out all day, I was expecting some kind of baby news out of one of you two....
  5. This is true, my coworkers SIL gave birth last week, her water broke on Weds morning and it wasn't until Thursday evening her son was born, she couldn't even get any meds (cant think of the name of the shot they give you) because she has a rod in her back.
  6. Woo-hoo!!!! I always buy from a company that says gluten free.
  7. I wonder how she is tonight.
  8. I would head to the drugstore or Target which has a Kodak Picture Maker kiosk. I do it all the time, and it costs very little.
  9. I noticed the gluten free labeling on a package of ready made pre cut chicken I picked up at the grocery store on Sunday.
  10. Welcome Back!!! Guten Tag!!! Awww, Sophia, what an adorable name. Pretty soon our celiac family will grow by two! A little boy and a girl! We missed your Ursa. PS-sounds like your family is still growing too!
  11. There is a great bakery in Northeastern PA, which has to die for baked goods. They do mail orders too. The name of the company is The Grainless Baker. You may be able to get their products in a store near you as well. I am from Central PA so I am not sure of actual stores in your area. I do use grainless baker products alot and they are wonderful.
  12. I don't think anyone ever thought you were a Spammer, Cindy. It was an honest mistake. I hope you will still continue to post and share your knowledge and really great sounding recipies with us.
  13. FMLA is the Federal Medical Leave Act. It a law which protects people who have to take off work due to an illness, accident, or other reason. I ended up getting one when i was in the process of getting diagnosed for celiac, I was missing alot of work due to being sick. My supervisor was the one who helped me get it and understand it. You need to get the paperwork...
  14. Wait you missed 4 days and it is already the end of August. I say that is pretty decent. I know healthy people who have missed more days this year than you. I wish you had an easier time with you boss. Can you look into getting an FMLA or something until you get things more under control?
  15. Actually, yes SunnyDyRain, is also in the Harrisburg area so maybe she join us as well. John will eat gluten free as well. He is really good about that kind of stuff. We will have our own little party!!!! Maybe I will bring some of those gluten free strawberry shortcakes for dessert. Let me tell you those were good!
  16. Some of the best recipies I got were from postings on this board. We have very talented cooks on this forum.
  17. Not sure if the wedding has anything to do with it. We just start doing the hard core planning the last month or so. I am on the computer before bed so I will have to get away from that. I am not a big TV watcher though. When I go into my room, there is no TV on. It is dark, I don't let any light in. I am funny like that. I might start listening to...
  18. Me too! I know I would be antsy waiting to move on to that next step in life, especially since this is your first.
  19. This is great advice, I never even thought about finger foods for counting and pasta for crafts. Thanks!!
  20. Thanks for the info Richard, I was wondering what happened as well.
  21. Thanks Everyone!!! I thought last night would be a great night to sleep, it poured all night and the rain usually relaxes me as well....nope!
  22. This will be the next thing I can try with my coworkers.
  23. Mouth Sores and Facial break-outs were also big signs of my pre-celiac days. I would eat these veggie chips (which contained wheat) When I was done eating them I would have these sores almost immediately in the back of my mouth, for quite some time I blamed it on my wisdom teeth coming in. Once I went gluten free I noticed no more mouth sores and my face...
  24. Thanks for the heads up on the Mento's although I do not use them often I will keep this in the back of my mind.
