  1. Yeah Danielle, you are a fine one to be yelling at me, when you aren't doing YOUR homework! hahahahahaha
  2. Hey Danielle, Yeah, I am trying to do my homework, I just havent had as much time as I would like to with working all the overtime this week! ;-) We cooked a lot over the weekend and on Monday so there was plenty to eat through out the week. I didn't want to introduce anything until being a week on the diet. Your Dad has been doing very good on the...
  3. Ok, that is not good Donna! I hope you get better soon! ** The other thing that comes to mind is how am I going to manage on this diet while we are traveling? My DH and I are going to take a long weekend in California. The hotel has a mini fridge, but I think DH would like to get a real meal to enjoy with me. How do I manage the eating issues...
  4. I am really sorry if this question has been addressed in previous posts on this topic, which is AWESOME. But I really didn't want to go through 126 of them!! :-) I haven't received the book The Vicious cycle and I am on the intro diet, which has been going good. However, I need a good probiotic that is allowed on SCD. The question is this: What...
  5. I was using Acidophilus Pearlsâ„¢ by Enzymatic Therapy: I am Casein intolerant Lactobacillus acidophilus - what is that?! I think the CVS brand has Lactobacillus acidophilus in it. Isn't that a form of dairy?
  6. I don't use lipstick everyday, but a couple times a week. I use Neutrogena.
  7. Thanks! I should have mentioned that I am also 5'2". Pre-diagnosis I was 112 lbs. I haven't been under a 100 lbs in many years (but I think I am a bit older than you!) :-) But I have lost about 8 lbs in 2 weeks. So that is kind of concerning me. 100-103 lbs is the max I want to drop to as well. But if it goes below that, I don't know how I will be able...
  8. Rachel how tall are you? I need a guide because I am fast approaching that weight now. I can't fall below 100 either.
  9. I lost 2 pounds over the weekend. But then again, I have had a drop in my appetite because of stomach issues last week.
  10. Hi! I tried the processor for applesauce and I think it worked just fine for what I needed it to do. It is small and works well for me since I am using for only 1 or 2 people. Anything beyond that, it might be too small. I would like to try it on raw almonds to make my own almond flour. Maybe sometime later this week. I will keep you posted! :...
  11. Thanks Danielle... So far I am doing o.k. Actually a lot better than a few days ago! The only starch I have is a few tortilla chips with the tuna - what else can I do? I am only eating boiled egg, bacon, home made applesauce (bought that mini food processor - much easier!), tuna with the SCD mayo, almonds and raisins, cooked carrots, chicken soup and...
  12. Thanks! I bought a Cuisinart Mini Prep Plus today!
  13. Spectrum's Canola Mayo is pretty good - Casen, dairy, gluten, soy free. I make my own from the SCD recipe. That one is doable for tuna.
  14. I am doing research on buying a small food processor - under $50 US dollars. I am leaning towards the Cuisinart. Any suggestions? I want to make applesauce and my own sauces like bbq sauce, mayo, mustard, etc. Or would just buying food mill do the trick? But that won't work for the sauces, right?
  15. Gina, Your picture is HYSTERICAL!!! LOL Hi All, I am in. I will email the Oprah Show. So many people love and watch her and trust her. I live in a Suburb south of the studio in Chicago and I work about 15 minutes away from the studio. My issues are not as extreme but the whole audience should be celiac disease/GS people!
  16. Here's the translation: DH = Darling Husband DD = Darling Daughter DS = Darling Son DW = DarlingWife MIL = Mother in Law FIL = Father in Law Etc. I hope that helps!
  17. I just ordered the book (geez local book stores - the big ones don't have it). Anyway, I am not as bad as a lot of you with celiac disease. Actually, I had hardly any symptoms at all. Then I got the Entrolab test done because I was diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder (RA possibly) and my darling step-daughter (DS-D) gave me the book Dangerous Grains...
  18. - I hate non-supportive parents - I hate having to go to 3 different stores to get my food (one an hour away!) - I hate the fact that the food we have to buy is putting my in financial debt - I hate buying what I think is gluten-free food and turns out to be cross-contaminated! - I hate having to read labels on everything I plan to put in my mouth -...
  19. Same here along with body aches.
  20. Actually I am going through this cycle - not the D and C but a slightly different bowel movement (greasy) and the stomach pains, chest burn and back burn. I can't get it to stop. Thinking I might have been glutened a couple of times and still trying to heal. But it hurts alot and I want it to stop. Only Pepto Bismol gives me some relief, but I can'tl...
  21. It is common for fries to have flour dusted on them so they don't stick together. She probably go sick on them. I have not had a reaction to eggs as long as there is no milk in them. I am casein intolerant (enzyme found in cow's milk, butter)
  22. Anything derived from a cow (i.e. butter) has casein in it. You can get a good gluten-free/CF butter substitute - I use Earth Balance.
