    Alliesmom, Hi, my son Jacob is now 5 years old but the BM problems you described is Jacob's problems as well. I could never figure out why he couldn't get the soft poop out.     Tanya, I am glad everything went so well. I know I seem stuck on this but how is the gagging? If she is still doing it, it must be hard on her with here incision. Nicole

    I believe the allergy test is called a RAST and it covers all the major allergens so hopefully, it was ordered correctly. Nicole

    I am so happy that Megan is coming home. It is so funny to have never met this family, yet even my family knows about them. My sister asked yesterday, "how is that baby doing?".

    My son is 5 and no longer a toddler but just discovered Wellshire Kids gluten free chicken nuggets that are shaped like dinosaurs. This is a huge hit and he has been going through them way too quickly. He also enjoys all of the foods everyone else already mentioned. We bought the nuggets at Whole foods.

    Has she been tested for an intolerance to casein (milk protien versus lactose which is sugar)? They usually do a skin test and or blood test.

    If the biopsy shows negative for Celiac see if you can insist that they send it to the lab at Columbia University. My doctor did this because my son's original lab said it was a negative.     My son is supposed to go for that test tomorrow. I am cancelling the appointment. I have been giving him Lactaid in place of milk or along with dairy and see improvement. I have even taken it away and saw the symptoms return. You can always try a lactase enzyme product. Nicole

    This is really scary to me. Just 2 hours ago I was on the phone with my sister discussing my youngest sons medical problems and the possibility of further testing.     My son is Irish, Italian, and English and he is a Celiac. But it is passed on in my fathers side of the family who is half Italian, half English, no Irish. I read early on when my son was first diagnosed that this illness is predominant in the northern European counties. Nicole

    Hi, do you know if kids can test false negative with hypothyroidism? He has been tested for this as well as diabetes but from the very beginning with him, everyone said "hypothyroidism".     Am I misunderstanding or did you say the doc. said to resume a "regular" diet? Does that mean he wants you to give her gluten? Why would be say that if he feels certain it is Celiac? I am sorry if I am confused, my kids got us up at 5:45 this morning . Nicole

    Unfortunately a lot of people who are not familiar with Celiac just brush it off as an allergy. I can't tell you how many times I have heard, "oh, your kid is the one with the allergy".
