  2. The aspect of Celiac Disease that is often diregarded by doctors is malabsobtion syndrome. That your brother is also experiencing symptoms often comorbid with Celiac increases your...
  3. This vitamin chart below might help in your quest. I thnk the risk of toxicity is much less than the effects of deficiency and is easily reversed. 4. Tamari Sauce is soy sauce made without wheat. Funny that wheat is first in the ingrediant list of most soy sauces.
  5. Our lactose tolerance as adults depends on the lactobacillus that live in our guts. Somehow they get killed off and we no longer have the lactase they produced. I restored mine by making my own salt fermented dill pickles for a few months. The other thing is that commercial dairies use feed additives to increase production and that increases the omega 6 to...
  6. If you are iodine deficient or just at the minimum RDA those testosterone supplements won't help. In the US intake of dietary iodine is half what it was in 1970. 7. I started taking 10,000 iu a day in May 2014.. I took until 2019 to get my plasma up to 47 ng/ml. In another two years i reached 86 and the next test was 80. It's been stable at 80 for about 2 years now. My last test I stopped taking it 3 weeks before the blood draw and my D plasma dropped to 72. The doctor said to continue. At first I read your post.as ...
  8. The following is a long winded way of suggesting to increase your intake of vitamin D, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, Choline and Folate. It may help. It won't hurt. It looks like the name of your symptoms is MCS Multiple Chemical Sensitivities. Very little research has been done. The medical industry simply recommends avoidance. As you said No Clue. In...
  9. Susie, I agree with you about the Prolia. To me the potential side effect damage could be worse. The NWHN is concerned that for most postmenopausal women the benefit of denosumab does not outweigh the risks. We recommend that women seeking osteoporosis treatment approach denosumab with caution. A 70 year old produces 10% of the DHEA compared to...

  11. Iodine was actually the first mineral I identified as a deficiency. I tried some expensive supplement brand but it didn't seem to do anything but lighten my pocket. The first thing I noticed was my upper chest and arms felt more toned. One sheet weighs 2.5 grams. ONE ORGANIC’s roasted seaweed (yaki nori) is 100% natural and certified USDA organic. ...
  12. The important aspect of Celiac Disease is the malaborbtion. Even after starting GFD you need to address the low vitamin status. Low Choline intake can cause gall bladder problems, neuro problems. Vitamin B1 can cause all sorts of problems from fatigue to neurapathy and beyond. vitamin D is classically low and can cause depression, bone loss, other autoimmune...
  13. I do that. One day I'll wake up and be so tired I just go back to sleep. Wake up for a bit, have some coffee and a little food then go back to sleep. Repeat several times until the next morning. No clue why, I figure cumulative sleep deprivation catches up with me. Gluten free since 2014. It is not a gluten x-contamination issue. Not low blood sugar. At his...
  14. The fastist way to tell if it is choline is to use choline supplements. The upper limit is 3500 mg. I take 840 mg of phospotidly choline, it's more like the food sourced, but is only about 500 mg of choline. You'll know in a few days if it helps. Even if it doesn't, the extra goes to free up folate so it can do its other jobs.
  15. If you are eating processed gluten free food, they add stuff that you may be reacting to. My go to for upset stomach is Alka Selzer. Fun fact alka seltzer original is sodium bicarbonate, citric acid and acetlysalicilic acid (aspirin). vitamin B11 is Salicylic Acid. It came from Willow Bark tea, used by Native Americans. Vitamin B11 (Salicylic acid) : The...

  19. I am taking 10,000 IU every day since 2015. It took until 2019 to raise my plasma to 47 ng/ml and another 2 to get to 80 ng/ml where it is holding steady. I stopped 3 weeks before a lab test and in those 21 days my plasma dropped to 72 ng/ml. Although no one will come out and say it the homeostasis level for vitamin D is right around 80 ng/ml. That's what...
  20. Make it a family thing so you can all support one another. You won't regret it. The transition is difficult because it goes against cultural biases and gluten is added to processed foods because it is addictive and makes you want to eat more. Load up on proteins, veggies especially leafy greens, and fruits.
  21. Hi @Buckeyegal1, Welcome to the forum. According to Lucky Charms the product has less than 20 ppm gluten. Some people are more sensitive though and there is the possibility that you are reacting to something else in the cereal or that you ate around the same time. They have several products so If you don't mind my asking, why the question? It also...
  22. Oh, and be wary of the PSA test for prostate cancer. There are many other causes for high PSA the doctors forget to tell you to avoid before the blood test. Chances of nerve damage from the biopsy are 20%. Chances of you dying from prostate cancer during your lifetime 1%. Even though my prostate had shrunk the specialist wanted to do a biopsy but neither...
  23. You are lucky. I was diagnosed with prostate hypertrophy at age 21 in 1972. Did not start gluten free until age 63 so I suffered to various degree all those years. The prostate formulas do help. Once I started GFD it was only three months before I did not need another bottle of prostate formula and about 18 other complaints I had to live with all my life...
