Keep eating oats. Some people are sensitive to cross contamination but if you are not, oats is a good source of nutrition. I don't know what is causing the leg fatigue but it is not the oats. Even as a kid in gym class my legs would fatigue long before my classmates. Now it happens quicker. If I flex the muscles below my waiste they creak. Not the joints...

There might be an answer here: Role of phosphate and calcium stores in muscle fatigue "CaPi precipitation in the SR may contribute to the disabling fatigue common in many muscle disabilities... The evidence is now reasonably strong that precipitation of CaPi in the SR can contribute to the decline of SR Ca2+ release in muscles and is therefore one important...

"The combination of vitamins B6, B9 and B12 may help reduce your risk of developing AMD by lowering your homocysteine levels.." The 9 Most Important Vitamins for Eye Health Synthetic vitamin A, E and folic acid are often fortified in that stuff we don't eat anymore. Which is actually a benefit because these manufactured vitamins are connected to... -

Good to hear. Isn't it amazing how quick the response is? Whatever diagnosis they choose to come up with, I think GFD Is the way to go. Low A/G can be an indicator of low IgG and I believe low IgG can return inaccutate Celiac blood tests? Normally, there is a little more albumin than globulins, giving a normal A/G ratio of slightly over... -

Could Less Cigarette Smoking Mean More Celiac Disease?
Wheatwacked commented on Jefferson Adams's article in Additional Concerns
There is a bias built in. Pro Wheat anti tobaccco. If a smoker has medical complaints, especially with breathing related, all is blamed on tobacco and until you quit smoking there is nothing the doctors will do. A similar bias with alcoholism. Any sickness is the result of alcohol abuse. In my case, quitting smoking never helped but quitting gluten reversed...- 6 comments

What does a high MCHC mean? Celiac Disease causes vitamin deficiencies. B12, vitamin C and folate and probably choline. In general the range is "A normal MCHC level for an adult is 31-37 grams per deciliter (g/dL)." although it can vary depending on the lab. Let's see what the new test results are, it could be just not enough in her diet. Did... -

although there is this: "Pernicious anemia is mainly thought to be an autoimmune disorder that hurts the parietal cells in the stomach and inhibits the proper functioning of intrinsic factor." https://www.healthline.com/health/pernicious-anemia#vs-b-12-deficiency I can see how doctors eliminating Celiac offhand could misdiagnose. -

Scott has mentioned a connection between DH flare ups and iodine exposure. Once upon a time a test for DH was to put a drop of iodine on the skin and watch the reaction. -

I have no clinical proof, lots of coincidences, but it appears the homeostasis level of 25-hydroxy vitamin D is 80 ng/ml. Up to that we store it up for the sunless months. Control of metabolism of vitamin D to its active metabolite, 1,25(OH)2D, is exerted primarily at the renal level where calcium, phosphorus, parathyroid hormone, FGF23, and 1,25(OH... -

The above statement is wrong in so many ways. "Traditionally, 100% DV has been based on the "amount required to prevent clinical vitamin and mineral deficiencies in healthy 25-year-old men who are 5'9" and 145 lbs." Obviously, that excludes a whole bunch of other people -- not to mention that the average 25-year-old male Americans now weighs 195! In...

Elevated concentrations of homocysteine in blood may be an independent risk factor for the development of atherosclerosis. Elevated homocysteine concentrations can be caused by decreased methylation of homocysteine to form methionine, as occurs in folate deficiency. A parallel pathway exists for methylation of homocysteine, in which choline, by way of betaine... -
The key here is neurotransmitters, the chemical messengers that tell the cells in our body what to do. 8 Nutrient Deficiencies That May Contribute To Anxiety Vitamin D. I suffered years with Seasonal Affective Disorder that pretty much became an all the time thing. It was only wnen I increased my daily vitamin D from 8,000 IU a day to 10,000 that the...

You also have low D, magnesium, and B12 is the low end of normal. Nutrient defieciencies are common with Celiac Disease. It is a disease of malabsorption after all. I think of it more as a poisoning. There is only one treatment. Avoid gluten and take care of any mineral and vitamin deficiencies. Get a bottle of 10,000 IU vitamin D. At the end of...

Potatos are great to raise potassium (100%DV = 4700 mg). 200 Grams of boiled peeled potato without added salt: Potasium to sodium ratio = 65:1 (Heart Healthy is >2:1). I read in an article on ancient nutrition that our ancestors were typically 9:1. Of a 2000 kCal diet 200 grams of potato has: 9% Calories, 6% protein, 12% fiber, 2% sugar...

I live in Florida, have been taking 10,000 a day since 2015 and my plasma D is holding steady at 80 ng/ml but took 5 years to get to that level, tested in 2018 at 47 ng/ml. My son a lifeguard here tested low <29 ng/ml. He was diagnosed as an infant in 1976, I was in denial until 2014. Hypervitaminosis D is rare, while low D and autoimmune disease is common...

Lose the rice it's a nutritional black hole, add cottage cheese and ripe bananas and see what happens. These plateaus will come and go. Some times it feels like its 1 step forward and 2 back. Even though I know I was getting 300% B1, when I did the trial at 2000 mg for two weeks there was a significant improvement in my peripheral neurapathy. Bananas...
