  1. Just for fun... High histamine types tend to: • Cry easily <----------ALWAYS!!! • Hear their pulse in their head on the pillow at night <----------not really • Itch and scratch a lot <-----yes, especially lately • Have seasonal allergies <-------See "allergic to air" • Have a low pain threshold with regular headaches...
  2. Open Original Shared Link You find them at a lot of bars and the like. I think TGIFridays probably has the most famous ones. They are potatoes that are baked until done, and then most of the insides are scooped out (leaving about 1/4" of the flesh on the skin), and then those are deep fried. You then top the now sliced and fried skins are topped with...
  3. Usually, the skins are deep fried, and usually with other gluten-containing items. The bacon could also be suspect. I just make them at home
  4. OK - First, click on your own name on your posts. This will bring up your profile. At the bottom of the page, there are 3 underlined options. Click Avatar Options (the one in the middle). Then you can either pick a base image (from the site), or you can upload a picture from your computer. To do one from your computer, click "browse" and a windows screen...
  5. I thought the same thing, only I'm thinking about using soy (oh no, the S word!) protein powder, since milk has a lot of sugar in it. I'm definitely going to add flax. I think I'll replace the oats with equal parts of quinoa flakes, flax meal, and rice bran.
  6. I will preface this by saying that everyone should get the Clan Thompson Smart list, it's been a lifesaver. They just sent out this alert to subscribers:
  7. If it doesn't say in plain English wheat, barley, rye, or oats on a Kraft label, it's gluten-free. Their modified food starch is corn, and the rule goes for both the US and Canada. If the label looks ok, the product is ok. I'd trust Kraft with my life

    ARCHIVED Apnea?

Apnea is diagnosed by doing a sleep study, where you sleep connected to an ekg, eeg, and other machines, and is generally treated with a c-pap machine, which is positive air pressure. See your doctor about it. I had apnea as a child, but it went away when I had my overgrown adenoids taken out.
  9. Geeeeeeze...I leave R-ville for a while to actually work at work (a novel idea ) and I come back to 500 more pages. Sheesh! Susan- Nice photoshopping! Celia- Sorry you aren't feeling well, although since the page you said what was wrong was about 20000 pages ago, I can't remembery why you aren't feeling well Patti- Next time you , make...
  10. LOL, in my experience, Sig Ep's would rather give up breathing than give up beer
  11. Awesome! I was just talking to DH about Easy Bake Ovens the other day! Don't remember why...oh, it was because I said I used it like, twice, and then asked my mom to buy me real cake mixes and I'd just do it in the real oven I was already using the real oven and stove at this point. That's awesome, though!!!
  12. Yeah, I ended up not going either, I was too sick
  13. I'm not as "in to" the whole excercise thing. I'm no help there. I want to be the first sillyak with a show on the Food Network Like a gluten-free Paula Deen...
  14. Nope, not the makeup, I've been using it a while. Besides, I'm always flushed I just don't know anymore. Isn't there somewhere I can just, I don't know, turn my body in for a trade?
  15. Congratulations, Picard!!!! You can never have too many women in the family Not that I'm biased... I just "took" some phenergan, so I'll be passing out and become incoherent pretty soon. Doesn't take that long to get from the butt to the head Yeah, still don't know what it is, my mom is both worried and at a loss. This has been going on...
  16. Yeeeah, I thought butterfly rash, too. Although, it doesn't really go across my nose, my nose is just a little more pink, if that makes sense. I'm taking off my makeup now (I knew having the supermom stuffed purse would come in handy ) so I'll give it some time and see how it looks without makeup. What with that, and the wierd totally random rashes...
  17. Well, that blows (probably literally ). Hope it's not too bad for you!
  18. There hasn't been a post on here in 30 minutes! How'd we let that happen?!?! Um - question: I'm beginning to have my mystery stomach muscle spasms (gluten-free or not, they're still there about every month) again, and I'm feeling really flushed. Like that's new, but my face feels hot. Anyway, I went to the b-room to check it out, and even through...
  19. I'm horribly confused by kosher law, but I thought that kosher dairy and kosher dairy equipment meant that dairy is run on those lines? I know that if something is considered kosher DE, that means that all of the ingredients are pareve (not dairy at all) but run on lines that process dairy. And in the US, at least, A "D" next to the kosher symbol...
  20. Blech, they used the spray on me before I was asleep. OMG the worst tasting stuff EVER!! It was "banana" flavored, but at least the nurses warned me it would be disgusting.
  21. The first endoscopy I had, they used versed and demerol. The versed is like perscription roofies, you're conscious, but you don't know that you are. "conscious sedation" Apparently I said some wacky stuff to the nurses, and I don't remember going home. Of course, the dr. chose right after the procedure to tell me what he saw, like I remember that. Anyway...
  22. I found Open Original Shared Link recipe at allrecipes.com: RICE CEREAL ENERGY BARS INGREDIENTS: 1/2 cup sesame seeds 1/2 cup sunflower seeds 1 pinch salt 1/2 cup chopped dates 1/2 cup raisins 1/2 cup dried apricots 1/2 cup dried cherries 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips 1 cup rolled oats 7 cups crisp rice cereal 1 cup corn syrup...
  23. Ace ciders and woodchuck ciders are both gluten-free. I contacted Ace personally and Woodchuck is on the Clan Thompson list.
  24. OK First - What goes for you and your doctor does not necessarily go for everybody. Not all doctors use the same equipment, and not all damage is visible through endoscope. If you have early damage, it affects the microvilli first, which cannot be seen on a camera, which is why there are biopsies taken. Secondly - The small intestine is 22ft long...
