  1. I just sent Taste of Home an e-mail asking them to consider putting with their recipes ways to make them gluten free. I have got their magazine for years but until being diagnosed in March I never realized how many of the recipes I could not eat or fix. Hopefully I'll get a response.
  2. Mine seems not to be so bad but I also have a different job that isn't as stressful. The last time I took my blood sugar level it was 52 which to me is pretty good.
  3. YYYYYIIIIIPPPPPIIIIEEEE!!!!!!!! I had my fries. I bought the Ore Ida crispy ones. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

    ARCHIVED Books

I love my book. I use it all the time when I have a concern or question. I recieved it as a gift and it was one of the best things I've got since going gluten-free
  5. Thanks for all the ideas. We live in a very small town in the middle of rural Missouri so we don't have any of those places. I wish we had a little more urban areas close to us.
  6. Thanks for the tips. I am going to try them tomorrow.
  7. OOOOPPPPSSS, Sorry I didn't mean to offend. Boy is my face red! lol
  8. I am really craving french fries. I love(d) McDonalds french fries and miss them so much. Anyone know how to make them at home that taste like them??
  9. I love Mary Kay's Time Wise. It's for those of us with older, I mean more mature skin.
  10. When I have a bad headache and don't want to immediately take Tylenol I use my "corn bag". It is a bag filled with corn, duh Jenny, that you place in the microwave for about three minutes. It warms the corn and I put it on my neck, head, wherever I hurt. It helps to ease the pain. Some places call them a Country Warmer.
  11. Mary Kay has a kit called Satin Hands, but you can use it on your feet and it feels wonderful. In fact I'm doing it tonight.
  12. I have really been craving fries lately so I guess I need to make my own. I wish places would put thought in to having at least a small dedicated area to people with special dietary needs.
  13. Splenda is good. I don't have any here now or I could tell you the subsitution rate.
  14. I know exactly what you are talking about. The smell of raw hamburger or ramen noodles cooking will set my tummy whirling. I have also had my gall bladder removed and it is worse since then.
  15. This is so bizzare, a friend just asked me(seconds ago) if she made rice krispie treats for a get to together Sunday if I could have them and I said if they are gluten-free krispies.
  16. I love fresh bing cherries but I can only eat a handful at a time
  17. I've never heard this so I hope it is not true because I eat ALOT of mushrooms, raw and cooked.
  18. A good source of info is the Iron Disorders Institute. They have brochures they will send you that tell you good iron foods and what foods NOT to eat together because there are two types of iron in foods and one can cancel the other out. They are wonderful people to talk to.
  19. My hair is fine and very straight.
  20. Thanks for the advice. I will try some of them
  21. When I went to get my hair cut today my beautician(sp) asked me what I had been doing with my hair. It was extremely dry and brittle. She had cut my hair 6 weeks ago and had said then it was a little dry but this time it was "icky". I told her that I had learned that some shampoos and conditioners contained wheat but I wasn't using any of them. She suggested...
  22. Hope I can find them someday. Sounds good
