  1. I have hypoglycemia and celiac. I do not have episodes very often but when I do I don't get moody I just stop. I will sit and stare into space. My hands get very shaky and I feel like everything is going on around me but I am not a part of it. I was lucky that I used to work with people who knew what was going on and would get me juice(oj) and peanutbutter...
  2. Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers. I am nervous but at least I will find out something.
  3. I went to the doctor today, follow up to last post, and he said since all the blood work was negative and since my neck still is swollen "WE" are going to a surgeon to have a needle biopsy next Tues. afternoon. (I hope it doesn't hurt him too much) He said this would give us some answers on what it could or not be. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers...
  4. I have never had any problems but you may be more sensitive than I am. I use Vlasic. Good luck.
  5. I have a dr. appt. tomorrow since all the blood work they did came back neg. I do NOT have mumps, mono, infection, high WBC, low RBC count but the left side of my jaw and neck still looks like I swallowed a hotdog-whole. So think of me and the dr. so we can figure this out WITHOUT doing a biopsy , please.
  6. I was going to suggest the dressing or the removing of the croutons. Almost sounds like a medical show, "Turn in tomorrow for the next exciting episode of---The Removing of the Croutons." Sorry I just had a moment. I love the brownie and the last waitress I had at Outback was celiac and told me to watch the dressings because they were not all gluten...
  7. Congrats. I know it has been hard but you did it.
  8. I had a reaction once to an egg and couldn't figure out why until I saw my DH dip his knife into the butter container I had used to fry my egg, and then butter his toast and put the knife back. I have my own container now and he will not use it.
  9. Thank you. I think I already knew the answer but it is so hard at times to not tnink " oh one little bite won't hurt" I did tell my friend that I didn't think it was a good idea and how much support I get from this site. I hope he comes to check it out. Again THANK YOU.
  10. I am confused about something. There is a guy in our town who(m) I have known all his life and he has celiac and crohns. We share alot of food and recipes and it is nice to have someone to talk to about things. Recently he told me that he can cheat and eat pizza, sandwhiches, pastry, etc. every-once-in-a-while and it doesn't bother him. I have stuck...
  11. My DH and I are planning to go to Branson Missouri for our anniversary, (anniversary is in July, but going in Aug). I am trying to plan ahead so I can eat without getting the big D. I love seafood so I called Landry's Seafood and talked to a remarkable young man named Ethan. He assured me that they will do whatever they can for me. I just have to ask...
  12. I would also like to say Thank You
  13. Called the doc today. White blood count was normal, hemoglobin was 14.5 (YEAH it's never been that great, guess iron infusion was successful), the mumps test isn't back but they really doubt that is the problem. I am supposed to call back Wed. to see if the lump is better after 7 days on antibiotics(not yet) and he may want to do a biopsy.
  14. I am not a Texan now but my dad still is. He lives in Fort Worth and a great place to visit is the Stockyards. If you can't get any info I'll ask him and get back to ya'all.
  15. I do not know much about alcohol but asking is a start and I hope that someone with more knowledge than I can give you the answers you need.
  16. The doctors at the time said nothing about celiac and said I would have to learn to deal with the D, and pain. I did not go back to that hospital.
  17. So glad she's feeling better. My cat is my baby and I treat him like such. I know you were worried.
  18. Being new to all this I didn't think about antibiotics having an effect on celiac. Thanks for the info. I haven't tried ice or heat on it yet. He did ask if I would be at the store Saturday or Monday but then said he would let me know Wed. I really appreciate this site because it gives me new ways to look at things and people who seem to care even though...
  19. When I had my endoscopy they found small erosions and they called them AVM's of the small intestine. This was before my dx.
  20. I went to the doctor today and he took several pints ( ok vials but it felt like more) of blood. He said it could be an infection of the gland, mono, or even mumps, but he really doesn't think it could be mumps. He should know something Wed. He put me on an antibiotic and said if I wasn't better Wed. He may want to do a biopsy.

  23. Today I was sitting at work talking to a couple of friends rubbing the left side of my neck because it hurt. One of my friends asked me what was wrong and I said it was a little sore and she said I had a large lump?. or swelling. She pointed to where it was and is was very tender. I'm going to call my doc tomorrow but was wondering if anyone knew what...
