    ARCHIVED Changes

I agree the background is WAY too bright, if it were a muted green like the bands and buttons it would be more agreeable to the eyes. Also the font is too small and too faded, I really have to squint a lot reading it.
  2. Way to put your favorite saying to use!! Jestgar, a most excellent scientific avatar. Patti, I also love this time of year. I'm just in a happy mood. .....not even the alarmingly bright GREEN in large doese is going to get me down.
  3. catesfolly, you aren't interupting! Jump in any time. YIKES is right! Thanks for posting that. Kassandra, GREAT NEWS on the insurance coming through for your iron IV's!! I am sure you and your family are so relived about that. That is the route I went, same price for the test, might even be the same lab. Igenex is the next step so...
  4. Julie knew about the greenness because Julie was on last night when the color change took place! And form that point on, things would never be the same....... Julie does not like change either
  5. That is exactly right, it's trial and error, and she will know what to do/what not to do next time. By her third try she will be an expert gluten-free lasagne maker!
  6. Baby food, that is the texture I couldn't think of! It's so good, I used to have peanut butter and apple butter sandwiches when I was growing up. Yummy!
  7. I actually found it very quickly, so no trouble at all! Just to add, I make the cornbread two days before and then I make the stuffing and assemble it into the baking dish the evening before, cover it tightly, and put in the fridge. The day of Thanksgiving I set it out a little before baking, I might drizzle with a little more broth if it looks like...
  8. You Silly Peeps are going to wake up to the GREENNESS tomorrow. A big freakin green surprise. <insert green emoticon guy here>
  9. Our applesauce here is not the same thing as apple butter, it's much lighter in color and not as sweet and a totally different texture, usually in a much smaller jar, like a jelly or jam jar. I think the key to identifying it is the very dark color. Best of luck finding it!
  10. You're welcome, let us know what you end up doing and how it turns out!
  11. OMG, it says it's Sherry's b-day today, or was that yesterday, maybe it is tomorrow....I think right now is tomorrow. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Belated?) I hope you have/had a special day I'm confused.
  12. You forgot me Kassandra, how do you make raw pizza? Hi Lisa, everything I make for Thanksgiving are things I can eat, so no cheating invovled .
  13. Thanks Patti! Happy cornbread stuffing making, let me know how it turns out
  14. You don't see it?? It's greean and different and not at all like we are used to. Like Susie would say....hold me
  15. It's not literally "butter, it's basically super concentrated applesauce, you slow cook apples for a really long time until they turn a dark color and the result is sort of a spread (not geled like jelly or jam, and not as thick/dense as butter, but spreadable)
  16. MY EYES! MY EYES! The board is changing, I don't like it...... Where is PAtti? Did you watch DSM last night? The priest kills me (or is he a minister), so hilarious. Hi Richard, where ya been?
  17. I went back and I found it! Here is my original post with the recipe i have been using the last 5 years or so: I usually make corn bread dressing (I don't stuff the turkey just make it as a side dish dressing) and it is so very simple. Any corn bread recipe will do, I just use a gluten-free flour. In my experience corn bread is really forgiving...
  18. Mango, Did you see the green drink Dr Oz had on Oprah? It had: 4 stalks celery 1 cucumber 1 c spinach 1 lemon 1 lime 1 apple 1/2" fresh ginger These ingredients are supposed to be juiced however, so it isn't exactly a "smoothie". I would imagine if you succesfully used spinach you could use any green: Arugula...
  19. I typed out my recipe last year, I will go back and try to find it for you. I couldn't skip the stuffing either, even if it was just for one person, ME! It's my favorite Thanksgiving side
  20. This sounds great! I used to love apple butter when I was little, thanks for sharing
  21. Ami, words cannot express how sorry I am. You and your husband are in my thoughts
  22. I haven't tried a cf crisp topping before, but I've been researching baking with ghee and most of what I have come across echoes that ghee and butter have different properties in baking, so the results might be a little oilier with ghee. It was recommended you use less ghee than the amount of butter called for when baking. If you do a search for ...
  23. I MISSED MORGAN!!!! Looking at the time she was on I was definitely asleep Hi Morgan So glad you stopped by, good luck with all your papers and tests and everything! Donna, I don't know how I missed the chocolate thing yesterday I kept going back looking for your post about it and couldn't find it.... I was going to say, Chocolate...
  24. No, that's not it. I went to Wild Oats website to try to find it, but like you said they've already changed it over to Whole Foods since they bought them out. The one I used was just a traditional stuffing recipe, but I swapped out the sourdough bread cubes for the corn bread. Really any stuffing recipe that looks good to you can be used...
