ARCHIVED Struggling To Live The Gluten Free Life
evie replied to Sweetfudge's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I also agree on the expensive gluten free foods. Best to stick to meats, veggies & fruits and leave the homemade gluten free bars, muffins or whatever you choose for an occasional treat. If you make it yourself from flour you tolerate you know exactly what is in it. I was not up to do even that for my first several months after DX, have only recently... -

evie replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
If you are boiling tap water in cooking you could be causing the chemicals (chlorine, insecticides & etc) to be enhanced & stronger and that may be causing problems. In any agriculture area there is a lot of insecticides & pesticides in any water from a lake, river or underground aquifer. One reason my Dr. told me 15 years ago to get a GOOD water... -

[quote name='Canadian Karen' date='Jul 25 2006, 10:51 PM' Karen; A few pages back I read of your numerous 'D' daily, how do you keep going or are you weak? evie replied to Lymetoo's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I WOULD TOO, am afraid crumbs would migrate to non gluten side. I am thinking about getting a cheapie for me & let hubby use the old one, might be tastier bread than putting frozen slice on micro. Luck to you!! evie
