  1. No--spelled correctly. I forgot that it said brands and products in the title.
  2. Yes--the gluten-free diet will help most celiacs, with the exception of those rare celiacs with refractory sprue. In that case, the usage of medication and/or steroids might be necessary. I've heard these types of things before at places such as curezone.com, where people on a message board were advocating various liver flushes and cleansing diets to...
  3. I just played--got to 311,000 points with two lives left until I got an IM and I was bored, so I chose to respond. Tinkyada?
  4. I have WAY too many links...anything in specific that you want for links? Oh, here's another celiac game I posted about awhile ago: Open Original Shared Link
  5. Sent through here ---------------------------->
  6. If you're willing to travel to NY, Anne Lee is an extremely well educated dietician--works with the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia--and helps patients of such doctors as Peter Green. Worth the trip, since you probably won't find many dieticians who can help you...
  7. Jill--you can also import the blog onto the site here, as well--but if it's not about celiac, I don't know...
  8. Iodized salt doesn't have gluten! How so? I'm sure Richard would have something to say about the CSA right here
  9. CHEBE???? AHHHHH...well, never tried it as a bread--only as pizza, which is the best I've tried thus far.
  10. I tried a pizza from Namaste...absolutely the worst thing ever. It had a soy cheese thing--looked okay from the box and the first deceptive bite it was actually okay--then you start to really taste it--the soggy, disgusting crust, the soy cheese...disgusting. Inedible. The first bread I tried was worse than Ener-G...it was just as tasteless, but it was...
  11. I want proof...I've been sick too long to risk everything on something like that. There are so many gimmicks for using pills, enzymes, liver flushes, pressure points, etc. So pardon me, but I want medical evidence behind this. I am ABSOLUTELY willing to be gluten-free for the rest of my life and quite frankly, I expect to do so. If a cure comes...
  12. Don't ask me--I'm new, too--lol Have no idea what a trackback is.. Mine is really dull now, but I hope to find time to make it more interesting--I just wanted to test it out.
  13. Hah--I was using a free translation site to keep up with the German.... I completely understand your frustrations--wheat vs. wheat, rye, barley, oats.
  14. Yes--that's because the part of your villi that breaks down the lactose is the tip. And that's the last part that grows back. Sorry, not many tips...
  15. I think the logic behind it is this: 1. It is not about security--you can still see the post (for example, under view new posts and on one of the final pages under the section in which it was posted. 2. It makes things easier for moderators. A pinned topic tells us not to worry about it--it's been read and moved if necessary. It is not a duplicate...
  16. I would have no first hand knowledge--7 years too young, lol, but I think I've read somewhere that it's not gluten-free.
  17. Whey is, I believe, a milk fat...gluten-free, anyway
  18. Gosh, I could spend my entire life on here... a new feature: BLOGS! I love new features...this is nasty (not literally--it's a figure of speech )
  19. I have it! I also have Wheat-Free, Worry-Free, which has a section on testing reference ranges. This is my suggestion. I'll go find the page in my book, tell you what it is. Go to amazon .com...if you're a member you can use the "look through this book" feature thingy and plug in a page number... For Kids with Celiac Disease: pg. 146... Let me know...
  20. A restaurant card is a card or piece of paper that you give to a waiter (for the chef) to explain your dietary restrictions and how your food must be repaired...
  21. LOL means laugh out loud-- (like, something is very funny).
  22. Yes, I don't think any are gluten-free--and if they are, I don't care enough to find out...I know which bars are gluten-free and those are the most accessible forms of candy, so that's all that matters to me Yes.
  23. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link
  24. It may relieve symptoms as Carrie suggested, but I cannot believe that it would actually prevent any intestinal inflammation or damage. Our bodies simply lack the ability to break down the gluten...I don't see how pressing anything can change that. I can understand where pressure might help in such cases as migraines, where pain is probably the largest...
