  1. Sure . I still haven't typed them up--they're still in my notebook. But if you're interested in any one area, I'll get that portion for you . About six or seven people have e-mailed so far.
  2. Well, if you found a good (accomodating) restaurant first...and then went it might work. And not everthing revolves around food ...just don't go to dinner and instead go to.....a movie or something. I don't know--I'm not really at that stage yet
  3. Go to Open Original Shared Link Then enter keywords (i.e. celiac)
  4. The UK also accepts much higher levels of gluten as being gluten-free. Another reason to avoid processed foods.
  5. In a sense that sort of thing bothers me, but I know that people who say that are just being insensitive, ignorant, and insulting. We don't even have 4% diagnosed (past poster mentioned) it's .1%....ridiculous. Also as another poster mentioned, celiac disease is finally getting the attention it deserves! Don't let people like that get to you. Also, you...
  6. Good . That's what I expected, but good to know for sure since this was brought up. What other chemicals are typically put in pools?
  7. Updated April 11, 2005. I'll post the updated list every now and so there's an accessible copy of the whole thing to copy and paste to other YAKS who'd understand and get a kick out of this : You might be celiac if... 1. The centerpiece on your dining room table is a bread machine. 2. Your bread looks like a moon rock and tastes like dried out...
  8. Congratulations, "mytummyhurts" Karen, new cake design?
  9. Yes--for brownies mixes, Pamela's... Arrowhead Mills has some very good mixes, including a choc. chip cookie. Just be careful because some are gluten-free and some aren't.
  10. General Mills will also list gluten. So if there aren't any gluten-containing ingredients, maybe call the company about contamination. Feel better
  11. I think Rich Gannon's daughter has celiac disease. You probably saw Danielle's Chocolate Cake Mix (From the Gluten Free Pantry)?
  12. You get sticky keys from a virus? So you can't turn them off by pressing shift five times?
  13. Umm...it would seem very stupid that they would put wheat in a chemical that goes in pools, but it's a valid question. I'm actually surprised it hasn't been raised before. I doubt that it is in the chemicals since wheat, on top of being an unnecessary component, is one of the major allergens, but hey, you never know. I'll also monitor this topic, but...
  14. I love the Chebe mix. I eat it for dinner at least once a week and will often have a slice as a snack when I get home from school . I tried the Food By George pizza the conference and it was also terrific. It is very small, though, I guess a meal for smaller children, but it's about the size of a slice and a half of pizza (but in a round shape). ...
  15. Yes--I've also heard that Band-Aid brand is gluten-free...
  16. Nope, actually, both are gluten-free .
  17. Hah! Once again, I'll post the updated list when we get another...10-15 suggestions
  18. I have to get off the computer, so I couldn't read your story, but will later. Just to answer your Ensure question, it's gluten-free and many have used it to gain weight. Ensure Plus is also gluten-free.
  19. Both are great ...I'll add them when we get a few more suggestions--that way I'm not posting the list 20 times.
  20. A few of these (8-12) were found on the Internet, most, however, are original). I added yours to the end, so we have a complete list so far. As more suggestions come in, I'll update the list You might be a celiac if... 1. The centerpiece on your dining room table is a bread machine. 2. Your bread looks like a moon rock and tastes like dried...
  21. That's fabulously funny! I will come up with some more and post later . I got a good laugh out of that...will have to show that to some other people who would understand that.
  22. It is extremely mentally and emotionally draining at first. Once we feel like we have everything under control, though, this diet works mental/emotional wonders on us. Many here had anxiety or depression before starting the diet, some even on pills for it, and are now 100% fine. You seem to be doing very well, though, at educating yourself on this--and...
  23. Nope--won't be deleted ....you can use these facts to twist arguments about almost anything .
