ARCHIVED Is It Celiac Or Ibs?
AndreaB replied to Aunt Poppy's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Candida is an overgrowth of yeast in your body.....primarily your intestinal track. Antibiotics cause alot of problems because they kill of good bacteria in the gut. Mercury from fillings and/or seafood can cause toxicity in some people and the body will allow candida to grow to keep the mercury locked in place. -

Ok, I've tried responding to this twice and I've gotten locked up. I have posted some recipes from cookbooks I have/had. Please go to my user name and view profile. From there you can scroll through my topics. You're looking for gluten free dairy free soy free (except a couple) egg free. Keep in mind that you may go through withdrawals but it... -

ARCHIVED New Celiac ( I Think ) Need Help!
AndreaB replied to thecookingnerd607's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I'm not sure about the pans but my whole house is gluten free. My husband was the only one without a problem but he has 2 celiac genes so went gluten free with the rest of us. It would be a good idea to ask her if she'd be willing to go gluten free at home so you don't have to worry about cross contamination. As Carla said, that can keep you sick. ... -

ARCHIVED New Celiac ( I Think ) Need Help!

I use Freeda vitamins. They are pretty good and free of many things. Have you got the biopsy results back? If it is positive, then you have celiac. Have you checked all your personal care products, thrown out scratched nonstick stuff, plastic also is hard to get clean. If you have checked everything and know that gluten is not getting in anywhere... -

Boy Donna! You're appointment sounded scary. I would have been scared too. I had an incident when Talitha was a baby (I think it was her and not Micah) where I couldn't move my hands, couldn't make a fist. Scared me to death. I think it lasted around 20 minutes. I called the doctor but they were no help. -

Amalgams are silver colored fillings in your teeth. Would you be open to seeing a LLMD? They test for more than lyme and are very thorough. A naturopath or holistic doctor may be able to run some tests as well. -

Sherry, I don't know if you use eggs or not but I've found it doesn't fall so much (if at all) with eggs versus with egg replacer. -
Sandy, PM Rachel--24. She's had the RAI and can talk to you about that. Things she's learned etc.

Something definately got stirred up with the antibiotics. What is the puzzle piece that needs to be found. It could be gluten or gluten could just be part of the fix until you get to the real problem. Why were you on so many rounds of antibiotics (if you don't mind sharing)? How long have you been so restricted in what you eat? That's a pretty small... -

We are glad you're back as well. I think the CD57 is pretty specific for lyme. It's used as an indicator of how the lyme infection is doing. Rachel and Charlie would probably be able to say more about it.......maybe Donna too. -

I can definately relate. School......we haven't finished and Seth is down for a nap. I don't like doing school during nap time so I guess we'll wait. She can do her paperwork but I've got to go over the book part. -

We are sooooooo glad you are back. Get all the mainline testing you can get and try to talk your cousin into helping with a hair analysis/urine challenge mercury test with a holistic type doctor (or better yet, LLMD). -
ARCHIVED I Finally Got The Scope Results
AndreaB replied to num1habsfan's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Lisa, I would strongly suggest you search out an LLMD or at the very least a holistic/naturopath doctor. A good LLMD will test for many things.....not just lyme. Any lyme test you have done needs to be done through Igenex. With you feeling so poorly, something else is going on. If your scopes are clean it's just one more test that is ruled out... -

I haven't tried another tiny dose of mine yet. I only had 1/8 tsp (mine is powder), a dose is 1/2 tsp. I felt nauseous the whole day and I'm not too thrilled with the idea of taking it again but I suppose I should try one more time. What's the charcoal do. I know they give that for amalgam removal. Is it a mop up thing? -

Sounds like you went through the wringer this morning. I was waiting for your post on the CD57 test. Now I'm very curious to see what you Igenex tests report.
