  1. EPT is pretty reliable. That is what I had always used. Definately get ahold of your doctor. They can run a pregnancy test and some require you to anyway. It wouldn't hurt to wait another week if you want to do another ept test then. Those can get pricey and if your doctor will require one anyway and you have a co-pay you may want to do one at the...
  2. I think it is definately part of the problem of continuing to poison you. Sounds like you're on to something. Ditto Laura. Is your round of testing coming up in a couple weeks? Getting sick in public would be worrisome, can't blame you for anxiety over that. Rachel does too so I can't say much. Rinne and I feel the same way...
  3. I think you have been. For most people it wouldn't make much of a difference (except maybe in the long run). We got rid of our nonstick pans a couple years ago I think. Still have non stick bread pans (which don't get used much) and cookie sheets etc.
  4. I was thinking of "pull a Dave" earlier today as one of our words but I forgot what it meant. I'm sorry you have to be tortured by all those smells though. The chocolate would get me. My favorite was always either Reeses PB Cups. But I also liked Mounds/Almond Joy, anything hershey's chocolate but loved, loved, loved the special dark. Three muskateers...
  5. I'm with you here. We got rid of ours I don't remember how long ago (2-4 years). People are entitled to there opinion and you yours. What you said is true and makes a lot of sense. I didn't say anything since I figured she and Chloe could have some nice mother/daughter time. I don't know if Adam went this time or not...
  6. Not really. I would think the teflon would be causing the problems for you. With the meat it could be a combo of that and the glutamates. I don't have teflon, but ever since I reacted to homemade chicken broth a few months back I'm afraid to try it again. I'll stick with homemade vegetable broth if I have anything like that. Of course, the...

  8. I don't think so but I don't remember. I don't like using vinegar if I don't have too. I was told it acts as a preservative.
  9. And I though Hawaii was on the flater side.....aside from the mountain. I've never been.
  10. Sounds like a pretty productive appointment and YAY on the improvement! Your upcoming schedule sounds tiring just reading it. I'll be looking for updates on the Igenex test as well as how you are doing. Hope your finger is doing better too.
  11. I forgot to add that lorka's original recipe called for vinegar. For three loaves that would be 2 TB. I've omitted that.
  12. I like lorka150's bread. The recipe is around the board somewhere....I forget the exact title. I make three loaves at a time and the last time used a total of 2 3/4 cup rice flour, 1 cup sorghum and 3/4 cup coconut flour (this is for the gluten-free flour and garfava flour. Add to that 1 1/2 cups potato or tapioca starch and 3/4 cup cornstarch or arrowroot...
  13. Now the truth comes out. Course it could have been something you're taking but I would suspect those bumble bars since they are made with things that don't like you.
  14. Yes, we can't forget that one.
  15. Also refers to medical treatments, etc., etc. I don't know if I still have the "old" rachelville words or not.
  16. I knew it was your normal lunch time. Just saw a late post for you this morning on the other thread. Course if you were at your mom's by then then it wouldn't have been so late. I was thinking of the commute time. I'm so glad you've been feeling better and am waiting along with you to see what Dr. S has to say. Do you see him late June or into...
  17. Is that coming up next month sometime?
  18. Ok, I went and read the article. It is interesting. I wonder why they say babs is so rare and that lyme is more common. Don't those two go hand in hand a lot? Donna, I really like your new pic. Rachel, Are you at home today or just real late to work?
  19. Thanks for the update Miamia. Keep us posted. Do you know how long you need to be on the diflucan? I'm sorry Donna. I don't know how you do it. I get extremely grouchy when I don't get my sleep. With me, it's because I stay up too late though. I've always been someone who liked 8-9 hours of sleep. Are you dealing with this at work today? ...
  20. It does seem as if the products vary greatly doesn't it. We don't like the no oats cookies either. On the cereal, we've had some that were softer and some that were harder. I still like the cinnamon crunch the best. My kids eat all the flavors and like it. The last boxes I've bought have been softer.
  21. I also agree with Rachel and Vincent. A lot of people stop looking for answers to health problems once they have a "I've got to be gluten free and everything will get better attitude". They should see some improvement on the diet. If they give up looking for answers when they are still not doing well, then that's not good either. I have the book ...
  22. I believe that people have seen ADHD behavior improve on the gluten free diet. Hopefully someone more knowledgable will come along. I have also heard about sugars affecting behavior. I don't know about his eating habits but cutting out refined sugars could help a great deal too. I'm not sure if casein causing behavioral changes in people or not.
  23. He's doubld DQ8 which are celiac genes. He has elevated IgA which means he's reacting to gluten and his ttg is also slightly elevated. That's the autoimmune response I believe. He has a reaction to casein as well. From the looks of it he needs to go gluten and casein free. If he is still eating gluten then you may want to go through the blood test...
  24. Our family does fine with Bob's Red Mill products. There are some that don't though. They carry a lot of different "flours".
  25. He's doubld DQ8. That means he got a DQ8 from you and your husband. If he's had a reaction to gluten then he is either on his way to becoming celiac (with diagnosable damage via biopsy) or he is celiac. My family all tested low through enterolab (between 10 and 15) but with the celiac genes we just figured it was early celiac. Enterolab can't tell you...
