  1. Would I be correct in assuming that the alternative doctors wouldn't be affected by this. Do you think the md's gone more alternative would still be able to practice under the alternative/holistic approach?
  2. Glad you enjoy your meetings. That's important. Interesting about the woman diagnosed with Lyme. Keep us posted. Rinne, Have you got your results from Igenix yet? Soon?
  3. I consider celiac and gluten sensitivity pretty much the same thing. Some gluten intolerances would progress to levels of damage to diagnose celiac, others would develop into many other problems but may no have the intestinal damage to gain a positive biopsy. For myself and my family, I went very gluten lite after ELISA testing and by the time I had enterolab...
  4. I was going to say I'd be really concerned by Friday......now I'm very concnerned after reading the rest of the posts about c-diff. I'm so not in the know about these things. I didn't realize antibiotics could do that kind of damage. I hate taking meds unless they are absolutely necessary though. I was going to say today or yesterday....
  5. Yes, let's hope she's just been spending time with her Mom. I'm sure she's tired too. I'll keep praying for Evie. Thanks for all you do Judy.
  6. I wouldn't want to either. It's not as if gluten free is an unhealthy diet. Did I read correctly that he gave you notes? Do you really have to go through with the challenge then?
  7. I don't know Judy. They said they were hoping to come hope on Tuesday. When my Dad was in the hospital he wound up being in for a few more days than he thought he would be.
  8. I agree GGRRR. When does he expect you to do this. I assume if he doesn't what to assume it's a bug that you'll have to wait until after flu/cold season. Does he expect you to have him be sick for x number of days? I don't really expect answers.....just rhetorhical questions.
  9. Happy Birthday Tiffany! That's great that your co-workers put some thought into something nice for you to enjoy.
  10. Rachel, those are fantastic!!!!! I hope I haven't trangressed any of those. I'm learning, if I have. Hi Judy.....I see you.
  11. I just downloaded IE7 last week I think.
  12. Sounds like a good letter to me Jessica.
  13. I definately wouldn't feel comfortable with the medication. Seems like it would do more harm then good (if it wasn't treating anthrax).
  14. It's based on the number of posts you make. I'm not sure what level the change is at though.
  15. Armetta, That is so neat that you want to do this for her. I haven't dealt with Lynne alot but she seems like a real nice person. For those who talk to her let her know we miss her and hope and pray for a quick recovery from her fall.
  16. I watched it (or should I say listened to it) at celiac central. Still get the teeny screen with only a portion of the people showing. Very aggrivating. Good to have mainline coverage.
  17. I buy my meat online. It is recommended on Mercola's site. I don't know that it is organic but it is natural. No growth hormones, etc. Completely pasture raised and fed. Poultry is also raised the same except the do eat some grains I think. Best chicken I've ever had.
  18. Linda..... I don't know about the genes aside from the fact that in Dangerous Grains they are both listed. Makes me think they are two different genes.
  19. Can this be watched on cnn?
  20. We love you Carla. Of course you can have a down day. We all do, whether healthy or not. It's just with being sick and having clueless doctors that those down times become more frequent. Take the time you need for you. We are here for you.
  21. It's the mainline oats that are the problem. They are cross contaminated. If you buy the gluten free oats, they should give you a little sheet of instructions about starting out real small. Some people react to all oats. I have some gluten-free oats in my cupboard I haven't eaten yet. Thinking my hubby can eat them if nothing else as he doesn't have...
  22. No, it's not crazy. You've been going through the maze of trying to find your health and have been lead in different directions by different doctors. Seems like you are on the right path and will get through the maze of ill health on jump into the one of "on the road to recovery" soon.
  23. As far as I know it's ok from the gluten standpoint. Most times it is derived from corn.

    ARCHIVED Dr. Mercola

I have his book/cookbook also. I am mixed type from what I can tell, more towards the protein side.
  25. Cecile, you are loved here. We've missed you and Robbin. Come visit us more again. Well that is good news! You said you get your results from the endo on Thursday? I don't know anything about candida.....sorry.
