    ARCHIVED A Lady Thing

My hubby says I act like I'm 20 but I'm really 47...so maybe it is the dreading "M" word
  2. When you go back to gluten free you should feel a lot better but it may take a while for your system to recover. I noticed the name "horsegirl"...do you have horses? I spend a lot of time at the barn and have to be careful around the feed etc for the horses to avoid being glutened there--just a thought. Hope you're better soon. L.A.

    ARCHIVED A Lady Thing

Just had my thyroid checked and it was good. Never thought about the pituitary gland though--hmmm. Could be totally unrelated to my celiac disease and just a blip on the period radar map--who knows. But found it funny that the cramps seem to mess up my tummy.

Thanks! Maybe I should just get pregnant
  7. Good Morning: Do any of the other ladies out there experience tummy trouble with their period? It's seems since I have been gluten free, cramps etc upset my whole system. Any adcise would be helpful.
  8. Sorry you feel yucky--I swear by GATORADE. Feel well soon.
  9. Hey: I'm looking for gluten-free shampoo/conditioner and hair products and I'm having a bad hair day trying to nail down products I can use...any help would be appreciated--eh. L.A
  10. I have the same promblem with my hair--makes me crazy! I did some googling and found this produdt called PROVILLUS for Women and it (according to the compnay) is gluten free. It is a supplement so I have ordered some...had a hard time finding gluten-free hair products to deal with the thinning hair situation.
  11. Thanks! Can't wait
  12. Has anyone tried Crest White Strips? The manufacturer states "gluten free"...just wondered about other celiacs experince with them. Take care, L.A.
  13. I make sure everything is gluten-free...shampoo, lipsticks, sun screen, soap, body lotions and even my household cleaning supplies. If I touch it, there's a chance it could end up in my mouth--especially soap and shampoo. L.A.
  14. I have 4 and I'm getting my fifth on Thursday--poor hubby just shakes his head I have a dragonfly on my right upper chest, an elfish script on my wrist, mine and my daughter's astrological signs on my left leg and a sun behind a cloud on my right side knee. Thursday's tattoo is the symbol for love, life & loyalty. My daughters are getting the same...
  15. My "dragonfly" thanks all of you. We should start a new thread about tattoos and what people have--not really a gluten-free topic but may be interesting. Regards, L.A.
  16. Hi: I have a new tattoo and need to keep it protected with sun screen--anyone know which brands are gluten free? Thanks, L.A.

You may want to have your iron checked. I'm on iron supplements due to my celiac disease.
  21. I love the cat picture!
  22. Not too sure if this what you want to hear--it took a very long time for me to feel better. It was easier to count the days I went without a tummy ache (few and far between) to the days I had one. I don't know if any of you are on probiotics, but I take them and they seem to have helped me.
  23. Hi Andrew: You can get gluten free bread, crackers and rice pasta at your local health food store to start--the package will say "gluten free". You may want to get a separate toaster for your wife as your old one will be covered in crumbs from regular bread. Good luck, hugs to all. L.A.
  24. Isn't it wonderful to have your "crap" together!
  25. I'm a diabetic so just had celiac added to my existing tag. I think I would still get one if I just had celiac disease--my luck, I'd end up in the hospital and they would pump me full of glutenous stuff
