  1. My very first post was about my reaction to gluten and whether anyone else reacted this way. I have had two positive blood tests and a negative biopsy...but proceeding with a celiac diagnosis. My reactions were happening every several months or longer. From 2002-2004 I did not get sick but still had tummy pain, gas etc. So far this year I have been sick...

  4. Crazy as it may seem--i bring my own dinner to weddings...yeah i feel singled out a bit but better than getting sick. I find out what they're serving and tailor my meal as close as possible--white dollar store plates come in handy as i just leave it on the table with the rest of the plates. Kitchen staff have been great about keeping food warm or nuking...
  5. Hi: I have spent a lot of time contacting manufacturers about gluten free products and have kept all my findings. Kraft is one of the best--if you contact them they will send you a gluten free product list--they have a lot of great stuff that is gluten-free. I also tried the makers of chips etc and Ruffles Rippled plain chips are my favorite--it's great...

  11. Have found it difficult combining a sugar and gluten free diet. i never cheat on the gluten will overlook sugar content in favour of gluten free.
  12. I am new to this site. Diagnosed with celiac disease and most of my knowledge etc has come from personal research. I hope you can help me with this...how long after you're "glutened" do you get sick? Also, when everyone says "sick" what do they mean...throwing up? Runs? I am trying to pin down how long after I'm glutened I have a reaction. My reaction...

Thanks for your reply--all my vitamins etc are gluten-free. I think I need to have the Doc recheck my iron as he cut the original dosage as it was causing me tummy pains --maybe I'm not getting enough. I take a multi vitamin as well. What other supplements are you taking?

Thanks for the reply. I have been gluten-free for 5 years now and can't put on weight--weigh 102lbs and am 5'2". I am such a freak about my diet i bring my own dinner to my Mom's. I have noticed lately that my hair seems to be thinning. The Dr said i was anemic and put me on iron and vitamin supplements--that was 6 months ago i don't see any improvement...
  15. Why can't I seem to put on weight? And, does anyone have a problem with their hair not being as full as it use to be?
  16. I have been gluten-free for several years now. every once in a while i will get this horrible tasting gas in the form of a burp (tastes like rotten eggs) and several hours later i 'llhave the runs and end up throwing up. This whole episode lasts for several hours until the rotten egg gas stops coming up--seems to be purged from my body. Does anyone out...
