  1. I am 56 and have had PN symptoms for about 6 or 7 years now, maybe longer. Numbness and tingling is much improved after going gluten free in Sept. 2006. I believe nerves can heal significantly eventually.
  2. Thanks Katie for this info. If Deland Bakery also tests for gluten--- did he happen to mention if their bread passes the gluten free test??? I assume it does. I hope it does.
  3. It seems to me that the ONLY proven way to loose weight and keep it off---- is to go Low Carb, like the Atkins Diet ( done correctly, not the extreme)---- I've never been very overweight-- but since going low carb, or in my case just LOWER CARB( than my normal HIGH CARB diet---) I've lost the extra weight and now am at a normal weight for my height-- 5...

  7. HI, Are there any celiacs in my area---- Daytona Beach FLorida?? I have wheat allergy and very likely gluten intolerant --- and have been gluten free for one year. Symptoms of numbness and tingling have gotten much better since going gluten free. Just wondering if there are others out there???
  8. I was making my own yogurt because I like my food as pure and natural as I can get it. Now I eat Dannon All Natural Plain Yogurt with no problems. The ingredients are milk, and yogurt culture. I don't see any problems with those ingredients. I like the fact that I can buy it at my grocery store where I shop all the time. No special trips across town to...
  9. I grind my flax seeds in my blender on the highest speed, about 1/4 cup at a time, until they resemble coarse corn meal. Then I use them liberally in my homemade bread and muffins. I even substitued 1 cup of ground flax seeds for 1 cup of the rice flour in my pumpkin muffins and they turned out fine.
  10. Hello, I'm wondering how many of you sensitive celiacs can eat the millet bread from Deland Bakery with no problems?? Just curious. Because the bread is really good and doesn't seem to bother me. Is anyone eating it now?? THanks
  11. Dark stools can be a sign of bleeding from intestine. I would inform my doctor about this.
