  1. The short answer is, probably not. How long were you gluten-free before you started eating gluten again?
  2. Well, I've ditched work today in favor of Costco and chicken feed. Dinner tonight is Indian out with the girls. And its NOT RAINING!!!! What an amazing day.
  3. It's a brilliant idea, it just should have never been needed to be thought.
  4. Sure. Ignore the blood test, but pay attention to your daughter. If she feels better not eating gluten, then go with that.
  5. So her total IgA is low, meaning that any IgA (L) reading would be potentially inaccurate, and yet her IgA screen (presumably gliadin) is positive and her IgG screen is positive. Tell me again why you need an additional positive test? How many pieces of paper that say POSITIVE do you need?
  6. This thread is almost three years old. Those posters (and programs) may not be around any more.
  7. true, you'd have to go with the 'instead' option.
  8. Another option. Tell them know how sick your children were before you changed their diet. Tell them you will consider putting them on gluten for a test if the office will give you signed documentation that the will cover all medical cost that arise as a result of her becoming sick from the gluten, including ER visits for pain and dehydration from diarrhea...
  9. I'm not saying this is ridiculous, but this is ridiculous! Why should you have to prove that your child is healthy when you don't feed them junk food? What is so restrictive about a gluten-free, df diet? There is nothing you need from these foods. It just infuriates me that some jackass doctor can tell a mom who's taking excellent care of her children...
  10. You aren't whining. We are trying to find every possible source of gluten for you that you may have missed. No one wants to take steroids all their life and if, as DilletanteSteph said, you can heal by removing even the minute-ist traces of gluten, we want to help you be able to do that. SA also has a valid point. Four months isn't very long.

  12. I also have salmon frozen in mystery marinade, which is what I've chosen, along with the cheap wine. Sadly I have no more pineapple juice to mix the wine with, so I'm having it straight.
  13. In my frig I have: Tequila rice paper wraps butter assorted condiments Any suggestions for dinner?

  15. Did you: Remove gluten products from everything you use? Hair care, lotion, soaps, pet food, etc? Start with all new cookware, cutting boards, toasters, etc? Return to all whole foods, no milk, no substitutes (rice bread, soy crackers, eg)?
  16. Would you consider making the whole family gluten-free just to see how everyone does?
  17. If you keep using the pan, eventually you will have eaten all the gluten off of it and it'll be fine. You'll be sick the whole time, but you already know that.....
  18. I'm sure I got stuff he can fix. Bring him when you come to get yer NikWax.

  20. I wanted space. It was getting a bit overwhelming with school and work and theater and application for school and late nights and early mornings and lonely cats and so on and so forth. I also felt like all we ever did was have sex, which isn't a bad thing , but it would be nice to play too.
  21. Sometimes they just need to realize what they could lose. Since both BE and I commute, the only time we could really go out is Saturday. Fridays he's not home until 8:30, which is late for me. I suppose dinner in Seattle would work, but he'd still have to drop me off at home, and then leave..... :P Dunno. Have to think about this. Once the weather...
  22. oooh. I just had a scary thought! If Knick pinches and punches us on the first day of the month, what happens on the first day of the year!?!? :o Maybe we all better hide!
  23. *sigh* Failing again at apart time. BE wants to do something New Year's eve. I may have to go back to Spain to keep away from him.
  24. Dunno about domestic travel, but I always fly to Europe with all my pills in a plastic baggie stuffed in with my toothbrush and other toiletries.
