  1. I like meat and vegetables. And I can add as much variety as I like using different combinations and spices.
  2. My understanding is that pregnancy changes everything.
  3. I find this whole concept of openness about sex highly entertaining, coming from a repressed family myself. BE told me last night that his SIL asked him once at a family dinner if he and his previous-long-term-girlfriend had good sex. I just stared at him. "she ASKED you???" In my family we pretend that the whole silly business doesn't exist.
  4. Exactly. Why add in a major allergen if you have a formula that works without it?
  5. how do you do this? I was thinking it would be fun to have a soup party. Put out a bunch of types of soups with tiny ladles and give everyone a big cup and a spoon. You can taste as many as you want, or just chow down on what you liked.
  6. BE and his dd came to see the show last night and I met them for drinks afterwards. Will see BE tonight after the matinee to find out where I scored on the (female) child approval rating. His son does not approve of his father dating, so that introduction may not be for a while. I accomplished nothing today, other than scarfing...
  7. It's actually quite bad Open Original Shared Link and the rain is expected to continue for several more hours (then a brief break before the next storm ). While some rivers flood every year, it's usually in the spring. This winter water storm is unusual. They've even canceled Amtrak service. Gads. Could be a bad winter.
  8. Last night was turkey spaghetti sauce with added spinach and bell pepper strips over mung bean noodles. Today's breakfast was an omlette with a bit of the sauce in it. Today's late lunch may be split pea soup made in a squash soup base, and I just filled my crock pot with veggies and put some turkey soup stock on top to make a sort of turkey-veggie...
  9. Rivers in phlood: Nooksack Skagit Stillaguamish Skykomish Snohomish Snoqualmie Tolt Skookumchuck Newaukum Chehalis Puyallup Nisqually Deschutes Cowlitz Skokomish Satsop
  10. I just sent them a sad little letter about not being able to have a BC cake for my birthday anymore.
  11. The Skookumchuck is my favorite (to say, I'm not sure I've ever been there).
  12. Heavy rain here. Major flood watch. I just love the names of the rivers that usually flood.
  13. :o Just what is it you buy your wee beastie?? $150 is about the priciest I've seen.
  14. He apparently called from the boat (he came back late from Seattle) as if I'm up at 1:30 am fielding invitations. He was to tired to drive home and was willing to take the couch if I was too grouchy. I'm glad. Now I won't be grinning at him like a fool when he's with his daughter.
  15. Wheat is cheap, and our signature crop, but yes, it is annoying and pointless most of the time.
  16. Show went well. BE showed up in my room at 2am. Apparently I'm very welcoming to "strangers" in the middle of the night. I probably should work on that. Anyway. He's coming to the show tonight with his dd. Should be fun. Today I'm going to work on cleaning my house and studying for my stupid final.
  17. Last frickin class. Turning in last homework. I just want to go home and nap, but instead I'll be doing that stupid play. I think I should plan all my things to end a week earlier than they actually do.
  18. You can't manage both? A morning of skiing, an afternoon of shopping?
  19. Ran into the most famous Open Original Shared Linkin Seattle, and all she could talk about was her addiction to an Open Original Shared Link
  20. Once upon a time I had dignity and decorum. I'll work on trying to recover that.
  21. uh.... just go shopping....really shopping.....now's your chance 'cause he DID tell you to....
  22. I'm just running the lights. No actual talent involved, although I am singing along to the bouncier songs. Will be respectable around BE's dd, although we may be grinning at each other like idiots during drinks after the show. He's taking me out for dinner after the Sunday matinee......if we get that far...
  23. OK, so, instant pudding, and coconut milk don't really make a good substitute for an egg.
  24. Package of ground turkey breast, cooked on stovetop, added 2 cans of tomatoes, let heat through thoroughly. It was actually pretty healthy until I melted the big chunk of cheese into my bowl of it.
